The location and the area around the cabin are absolutely unique. Surrounded by large green areas, flowers, berries and fruit trees. Sandy beach and Svaberg a small stone's throw away and as the closest and only neighbor you have a gazebo with a massage chair. The cabin is located in a free area, little insight, has good sun conditions and views of the mountains and Savalsjøen. Nice hiking trails both on foot, skiing and cycling. Savalsjøen is excellent for swimming, fishing/ice fishing, canoeing. Cross-country skiing right outside the cabin. 5 min by car to alpine facilities, ice rink and Nissehuset/hotel. 15 min walk. The field has a road barrier; NOK 80 to drive in, pay via app.

It's origins hidden in the unknown of history, this compact and cozy cabin was purposed as a post office and general store from the 1870s. Several details from this era have been kept, like its' original timber walls and ceiling. The cabin is on our beautiful Island of Stavøy, with lots of options for outdoors activities and in particular, fishing. If you are lucky, you might even be a part of the traditional wild salmon fishing every summer. Welcome!
