Vacation rentals with beach access in Skye

We had a fantastic couple of nights in the Glenview Garden Studio! It was super easy to find, and Kirsty had even left out some granola and chocolate chip cookies for us, which were greatly appreciated after a long drive up! She was super responsive and helpful, and it was an extra treat to be able to shop at Shilasdair Yarns, the little yarn shop that they also run. The room was really comfortable - great to have a toaster, microwave, and fridge for convenience, and it was a fantastic location for exploring Skye (close to some great hikes and not far from Portree) - my only complaint is that we didn't book a longer stay! Would highly recommend this spot.

Plockton is a fantastic little village surrounded by beauty. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Guillaume’s flat. Well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, and very clean. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay - everything was in perfect condition and exactly as described. The kitchen is well laid out and functional, and we loved all the natural light from the windows and skylights. Dorothy was a lovely host and highly communicative. We thought the location was convenient about 5 minutes away from Broadford and 35 minutes from Portree. Highly recommend!

Sarah’s cozy, clean home was so comfortable and practical! The beds were so comfy! Our hostess was very responsive to any inquiries we gave her. Having the crib/ cot already set up for us was such a hospitable touch. We loved taking our morning coffee in the cozy window seat and soaking in the stunning views!

We had a wonderful few days at Sarah’s place in Shieldaig. A fabulous location and perfect accommodation. Really comfortable and well equipped. Sarah was the ideal host - welcoming and hospitable and we would highly recommend her home. We enjoyed it very much.

Its remote, and eating out is not possible after 19:00, bokings esential, drive over the hils is hard

We stayed at Steve and Sheryl’s place for a few nights on our road trip around Scotland. The location is fantastic for exploring some beautiful local beaches, we visited the local pub and were lucky enough to have a group of musicians stop by to sing for their supper. The ferry to Sky is also accessible if you book in advance. Steve and Sheryl’s home is an inspirational custom build for those who appreciate architecture and design. The guest area is the upper floor of their home, there is a common entrance but a door from the entrance hall leader up the stair to a private guest space. Steve and Sheryl’s communication was really helpful and proactive and they left helpful personal notes for us around the home which was a lovely touch. The second bedroom has two beds and Steve and Sheryl had laid out the bed with soft toys and books and toys in drawers for our 4 year old, which he loved. Highly recommend a stay at The Bay. The location right on the beach is fantastic with picture perfect scenery as far as the eye can see. Accomodation was probably the best equipped we have ever stayed in (special little touches from torches to tupperwares) and a thoughtful welcome pack was a nice surprise. Carol was a communicative host offering us an early check in, greeting us on arrival and messaged us on the eve of our departure to offer a late check out. A perfect stay from beginning to end.

Lovely little house, Ideal local in the village and lots of lovely places locally to visit. The house is well equipped with all the essentials you need,beds lovely and comfortable,large garden area which suited us with the dogs Would go back tomorrow,the view every morning when you get up will not be forgotten

Absolutely lovely little cottage in the most beautiful surroundings- view of a waterfall, loch below and sheep with lambs just outside the gate. Great spot for a sunset and to just relax listening to the birdsong. The cottage was perfectly clean and fully equipped with absolutely everything you could need for self catering. Modern yet traditional - the perfect balance. A lovely additional touch of local gifts much appreciated. Although a little off the beaten track it was the perfect haven after a day exploring all the incredible sights Skye has to offer. We wouldn't change a thing and hope to return!

I cannot recommend Sally’s AirBnB highly enough. The location is superb, so peaceful with views out to the harbour from the private garden and the private parking was a god send. The house is spacious and has everything you need and Portree is a great base for exploring Skye and the Highlands and Islands. We stayed for 2 weeks and it was worth every penny! Sally is a great host, easy to get a hold of and sorts things out quickly.

Etta's cottage is absolutely STUNNING. Beautiful! Spotless and spacious, warm and cozy. Extremely peaceful and serene. Honestly, my husband and I joked about making an offer to buy it. 🤣 Etta also left milk, orange juice, croissants, and butter to get us started for breakfast. As far as location, it is conveniently located within reasonable distance to Portree. There, we found groceries and restaurants, as well as a few gift shops. Just be sure to make sure you don't need reservations for dinner! The cottage is also only about 40 minutes from the Fairy Pools and 40 to 50 to Storr, Fairy Glen, Quiraing, and An Corran Beach (dinosaur footprints). We hope to make this our go-to for lodging in Skye in the future. Thank you, Etta!

The house was perfect and I mean perfect!! Always loved Glen Brittle but staying in Diane’s house just made the Glen even more dear to us than it already was. Diane always responds quickly and makes you feel well cared for. If you can, you must stay here!!

Absolutely lovely home. A great place to stay as a base for day tripping to Syke or other Isles from the auto ferry which is just a few miles away in Mallaig. Be sure to catch a sunset on the beach about a 10-15 min walk away from the home. Be sure to scratch Stan behind his ears! A very stylish, comfortable, warm and cosy place to stay with views of Skye, weather permitting. Sorry it couldn’t be longer. Love the decor, very comfy lounge and bed.

we absolutely loved staying at Marie's place. The house had everything you need and was nice and clean. We got lucky and had a beautiful sunset visible through the living room window! The views are amazing and it is in a great location to explore Skye! I would definitely recommend Marie's place to other travellers!

This place is fantastic, super cozy, beautifully furnished, and equipped with everything you could possibly need (and more!). Sheila was always quick to respond to our questions and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend it

We had such an amazing stay! We felt like it was a home away from home. The hosts had thought of everything, even binoculars to look at the amazing views! Everything for our stay was explained very well and the hosts gave us recommendations of things to do locally. We even booked a falconry experience based on the leaflets that were left. Thankyou to you both for a perfect stay. We were sad to leave today.

John was a great host. He made sure we had everything we needed and gave some tips. His place was lovely. It is also in a great location for anybody wanting to explore the Isle of Skye.

Stayed at Fiona's flat for two nights in June 2025. The apartment has lovely views of Mallaig Harbour so you can watch the boats coming and going and is just a short 5-10 minute walk from the town centre. The property was easy to find and access thanks to the clear instructions provided, and exceptionally clean. The flat is also very comfortable. Overall, we had an excellent stay and will most definitely return in the very near future.
