Family-friendly vacation rentals in Skye

We've just returned from our second stay at Debbie's beautiful property, and it won't be our last stay. If the views alone don't wow you, the property and the abundance of furry visitors to the garden will. The photos don't do this property justice. The house is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, there's plenty of space, well laid out and stocked kitchen, and two toilets is always a bonus! It's a perfect place for a total switch off holiday. Debbie was very quick to respond to my questions, and is always friendly in her response. She very much cares about the guest experience. I cannot recommend this property enough, book it, you won't regret it!

This was a great escape from the bustle of the city. We loved the hot tub and the spacious kitchen. We made many meals to save money. If I come back to Scotland, will definitely stay here again.

We enjoy this cottage so much that this is the 3rd time we have been. The perfect place to relax.

Beautiful cabin, amazing location, and relaxing spa. Loved arriving after a short drive following the challenging Lost Valley hike. Would stay again!

Roskhill cottage is awesome. We spent 5 nights here and made our stay truly special. The house have everything you may need and more, the beautiful view and garden filled with flowers, the BBQ hut it’s a great plus, comfortable beds, impeccable clean, good size bathroom and shower, close to little groceries stores, delicious bakery and good coffee, Dunvegan Castle and gardens and fantastic walkings around, plus gorgeous Coos cows! Really worthy place. Highly recommended.

Great accommodation, hot tub was excellent and warm. I would say 4 logs then 1 to top up after 50 minutes on a mild day and the water temperature would be perfect. (I think I might get one). Beautiful surroundings and great location for Inverness and Loch Ness. There were all the mod cons in the house. We fell in love with ‘Roger’, the automated lawn mower in the garden. We would definitely come again if in the area.

We loved our time in the bothy and hot tub, stunning views to wake up to each morning! Bothy was very clean and tidy, we would visit again for sure 😁

When we booked Otter’s Cabin we were looking for somewhere to relax and have some time to unwind and Otter’s Cabin gave us just that. The cabin itself is rustic and unique but this is exactly what we were looking for. The floating bridge was an adventure with 2 dogs before our day began but they got used to it quickly and by the time we left they were crossing it like pros. The views were outstanding and the seal visitors were a delight to watch. I would highly recommend Otter’s Cabin for anyone looking for a little piece of Scotland to relax in peace and tranquility.

A beautiful place to stay, in a peaceful and private location. The house is ideally situated for travelling to Skye’s main attractions, with immediate access to the main road, avoiding any difficult lanes or tracks. The house has everything you might need as a hub and provides lovely views when relaxing at the property.

Perfect place for two nights of peace. Loved the view, pod and fireplace and everything just as described. Great walking up the glen and village close enough to ride to the pub!

A magical place to stay, especially with children! Has everything you need and more. Comfortable rooms, and a magnificent banqueting table in the kitchen for communal meals. The lounge is bigger than it looks in the photo and can comfortably seat everybody staying. Roberta was really helpful in the run up, answering various questions I had and giving useful suggestions. Many thanks. We hope to be back someday!

Loch Bracadale Cottage was a great place to stay. It was cosy and comfortable with lots of interesting art works and books. The location was peaceful with a nice view over the loch and we found it easy to access other parts of the island by car. Alistair made time to meet us at the property when we arrived and was a very friendly and responsive host.

Anna's flat was wonderful. It had everything we needed, was really clean and in a great location. It was only a short walk to the centre of the town, but on a quiet street so we all slept really well in the comfy beds. Anna was very quick to reply to messages and made sure we had everything we needed.

Great place for family! Garden, baby's furniture, huge house and garden. Great for kids to run around. Especially when the weather is bad.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Glenelg. The cottage was as described. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed the spectacular views from the garden and every window. Murdoch rang on our arrival which was lovely and we knew we could contact him if needed.

For the second time we did visit this hidden gem in the highlands. Grant and Laura are very welcoming and helpful with any questions we had. The house is perfect for a family of four. It has everything you need, including comfortable beds. With a little drive their are some great beaches with only few visitors. For a good hike try to climb the Resipole or one of the other mountains. On a clear day the views on top are second to none Lastly you can visit the restaurant at the Strontian hotel (aka Bothy bar) Great food, with an exceptional view. We did visit many spots in Scotland but Ardnamurchan is definitely our favourite. It is as beautiful as Skye but without the busloads of tourists

Another awesome stay a one of Gary's Loch ness properties!

We’ve stayed in some very impressive Air B&Bs across the world but this was far and away the most impressive. It was an extraordinary experience staying in the apartment in the old school building. The view from the great windows was breathtaking and everything inside the apartment was so well done - would highly recommend, in fact it’s a Must if coming to Loch Ness & the western Highlands.

This place is so amazing with Loch Ness and so cool Abbey. Beautiful environment. Feeling Harry Potter life.

We loved our stay here. It is exactly as advertised and the views looking out across Loch Linnhe were stunning. It was perfect for what we needed. Andrew was a great host and helped us get settled nice and quickly. I’d recommend to anyone looking to visit Fort William and the surrounding area and would love to visit again myself!

Absolutely amazing property. Out of our 10 day stay in various establishments in Scotland, this was hands down our favorite. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely location, we spend the best week of our holiday there!

I have stayed in many AirBnbs and hotels in my travels, and assure you nothing else compares to my joy of staying at the Highland Club, this time for a second visit. Everything was absolutely perfect and then some. The Abbey is exquisite. The private view of Loch Ness is breathtaking. The grounds are secure, quiet, and tranquil. The apartment is spacious, cozy, squeaky clean, and appointed with everything anyone might need for a long term stay. I'm always sad to leave, and can't wait to come back. I recommend this place 100% and you will have many great memories and spectacular photos to make your friends jealous. Enjoy!
