I had a wonderful stay with Vimal and his family. They were very welcoming and had great tips on what to do in Mannar. I highly recommend staying with them.
The exterior of a two-story building is shown, featuring a light gray facade with wooden accents. Decorative wooden beams and railings are visible, complemented by large windows that allow natural light into the home.

Highly recommend. Great location! I will return! A hard working loving family!

Room at Farm of Nambikay Guesthouse

We stayed at this amazing place near Mannar. If you want to go to Jaffna, this is an excellent place to cut the long drive as well. It’s a nice area in the rice fields, beautiful and relaxing surroundings like a lake nearby for fun activities. Big kitchen/living area, three bedrooms, and super friendly people. They will help you with all you want. We stayed there with little kids, which was great because of the fruit/vegetable garden and many different animals at the farm like goats, chickens, cows etc. It’s a social project as well, so win-win! We drove there with a tuktuk, which was a nice road to drive. We stayed there and came back again a week later because we liked it so much.
A series of seashells is displayed on a wooden window frame, adding a coastal touch. The shells vary in shape and color, and their natural textures create an interesting visual contrast against the smooth wood.

Amazing place. We traveled from San Francisco not knowing what we find. It was a hidden gem in the jungle! Remember to take a dip in the canal coming from the Giant Lake. Unbelievable! Thanks for the great stay.

We had a fantastic 6 night stay at Sharmini’s villa. My husband and I were travelling with our 9 month old, 3 year old and in-laws, and Sharmini’s staff could not have made us feel any more welcome. They really wanted to ensure we had a lovely stay, cooking wonderful meals(chef is included and you just pay for ingredients), helping us organise a safari trip and day trip to Anuradhapura. The villa itself is located in beautiful surroundings, it was wonderful having such wildlife on the doorstep! We went on a boat trip one evening and saw a wild elephant. Bedrooms all have A/C and splash pools on balconies. Highly recommend a stay!
