Vacation rentals in Ella

Had a great stay. It’s a property with a gate hard to spot but it’s there 😊. The property is close to both the railway station and also to the Main Street so easy to find places to eat. The master bedroom toilet seat etc could be changed and interiors upgraded to give a brighter look, but as we stayed there only two days and spent most of it outside, no complaints.

If you’re looking for an adventurous and unique place to stay, this is the one! The location is beautiful in a really peaceful spot, right next to a stunning waterfall and not far from town. Communication was excellent and the hosts were so kind and welcoming! The in-house food wasn’t the best but it’s easy to get into town if you’re looking for something less basic. Overall we loved our stay here and would definitely recommend.

We really liked our time at this place. The landlord tried everything to make it as much Perfect as possible for us. He offered us connections to local guides, provided a delicious local breakfast and took us with him in his car. We fully recommend this Air BnB!

Bola was an amazing host at the Villa. He sent a driver to pick us up when we arrived and made us dinner at the villa! He gave us some helpful tips, was very attentive, and even drove us to our next destination. I will definitely stay here if I return to Ella! 10/10 recommendation:)

The A-Frame is the perfect stay for Ella. It was an absolutely ideal location, just a bit out of the tourist-y area of the town but still walking distance - and with lovely views of the mountains. Shan was a legend! and very eager to help with his tuktuk which made check in easy. The ability to walk down the train tracks to and from town made it very easy and the trains passing by was a great novelty. Highly recommend!

I had a pleasant stay at this well-maintained property. The space was clean, comfortable, and well taken care of, making for a relaxing experience. The host was responsive, and the overall ambiance was great. However, I believe bath accessories could be improved to enhance the experience further. With a few upgrades or adjustments, this place could be perfect. Would still recommend it for a comfortable stay!

It was a beautiful place and the staff was absolutely wonderful. The wifi was not working but I guess that's common on in the hills and we ended up not missing it much since the property in one of the best ones in Sri Lanka.

We can only report positive things about the place. The location seemed a bit remote at first, but there are a lot of activities and hikes in the area. It is quiet and the view is incredibly beautiful. Nevertheless, you can quickly get into the city. Gemini always helped us and even drove us in his tuk tuk. He always responded to our requests and needs. He and his wife were incredibly helpful, friendly and attentive. We were very happy to have stayed with them. The breakfast was very comprehensive and delicious, and was prepared with love. We were able to enjoy it privately for us with an incredibly beautiful view. The time was also tailored to our wishes. We also noticed positively that another review noted that a refrigerator was missing and it was available during our stay. Overall, we are very glad to have been here, very warm and friendly!

Arawe Retreat is simply fantastic. From the beautifully appointed accommodation, to the attentive yet relaxed staff, to the tastiest food in Ella. We really had the best time here. Just a short Tuk Tuk from the busy centre of Ella, Arawe retreat provided an oasis of nature focused calm which was hard to leave. Ishanka and his team really have got things just right by creating the retreat around the existing nature and enhancing it. The wildlife noise at night is really something to behold and helps you drift off into relaxed tropical dreams. Huge thanks to Ishanka, Chaggar, Suren and Dashan. You really made this visit memorable and also a special thanks to Banda and Manike. We hope to get the chance to visit again x
