Absolutely faultless experience. The beautiful house and excellent team of staff exceeded all of our expectations. We were incredibly comfortable in the spacious and beautifully designed and furnished house and gardens. The house managed to combine all of the above whilst allowing us to feel completely ‘at home’. Sunil, the on-site villa manager, was always able to help and guide us with all our needs for transport and excursions etc. Sunil is also a wonderful chef. He cooks with skill but also with love. We felt very well looked after. He and his team kept the villa spotless and were kind and friendly throughout. We hugely appreciated the effort they made to help us celebrate our daughters birthday whilst we were there. Would 100% recommend.

Great villa with fantastic pool and all the amenities as stated in the description. local town, shops and restaurants all 15-20 mins walk. Pamoda and the housekeeper Sunetta could not have been more helpful. Would highly recommend.

We’ve just come back from an amazing trip to Sri Lanka, and we stayed for 6 nights at Gaya’s wonderful home. We loved it; the location feels remote, but it’s only a 10min walk to the beach/restaurants etc. Every morning I’d wake up and have a coffee on the veranda, overlooking lush greenery, peacocks, cattle - not something you get in everyday life. The staff were very helpful, and the accommodation was comfortable, clean, and is a wonderful option if you’re looking for a self-catering home stay. A big thank you to Gaya for letting us stay, we hope to be back soon!

We had a really pleasant stay at Villa Candlelight. The property is beautifully maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and charm. One of the highlights of our stay was the indoor pool—it truly added an extra touch of luxury and made our experience even more enjoyable. The villa is also conveniently located, with easy access to the market area, making it simple to explore the surroundings. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

I stayed with 2 friends for a 6 day surf vacation. The house worked great for us. Very well located near the Sion surf point, near many restaurants and coffee shops, very specious and well equipped. DD was pleased and proactive and helped us feel at home. We will return there as soon as we can. Highly recommended.

Don is an exceptional host, responsive and available at any time, the house is a jewel, large, clean and equipped, private patio with a very pleasant mini pool in the hottest hours, very quiet location out of the chaos but a 5 10-minute walk from the two nearby beaches (the least crowded in the area, including jungle beach surf spots). With a scooter (which I highly recommend) you can reach all the midigama and ahanghama spots in a few minutes and in 10 minutes you can reach weligama. The other pool is shared with other BnBs and you have to go through the private garden of the house next door, but it is a great place to relax and the few times we used it there was no one. Absolutely recommended

Fantastic Villa, the pictures don’t do justice to the place - it’s better than what can be seen here. The area outside is peaceful and surrounded by lush greenery and the property grounds are perfectly landscaped with a beautiful swimming pool and outdoor seating area. The living room and kitchen are fantastic and all essentials are well stocked up. The bedrooms and bathrooms are also up to 5 star quality with clean soft linen. No problems on water and no problems on electricity. The staff doesn’t fully understand English but enough to get through and very helpful. Only draw back is that it is 15-20 mins away from Unawatanu / Galle so you need your own transportation.
