Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Shiga

Such a quiet and beautiful oasis in Kyoto. Spending the mornings sipping coffee on the balcony, was definitely a highlight to our time in Kyoto. In addition, it was easy access to public transportation but also a short (and beautiful stroll) to various points of interest in town. I adjusted the timing of our Kyoto visit to accommodate this reservation, and I am so happy that I did.

We loved staying here during our 8 night in Tokyo. It was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Hosts were easy to speak to and provided us with great information for checking in/out. We had no issues at all and would recommend this accommodation.

I used it for an annual family trip with three households and a dog!!The living room was spacious and the children were able to play. It was very helpful to have✨ toys. It was nice to have amenities such as☺️✨ towels and toothbrushes.It was helpful to be able to rent a bicycle, and I went to a nearby supermarket.The parking lot is small, but you can park two cars.There are also bicycles, so I was able to go by bicycle for a little shopping.There were also plenty of futons in the tatami room, so it was nice to be able to use it spaciously even when sleeping with my child.😊✨ Also, yoyo's reply was quick, and it was helpful that she was flexible with the checkout time☺️✨ We had a great time traveling. Thank you so much.😆✨

We really enjoyed our stay here. The place is super clean, huge & peaceful with beautiful surroundings. We love the traditional feeling of the house. The kitchen is complete with all the cutleries & utensils. Highly recommended. We don’t even stay upstairs as downstair place already enough.

My stay here was the happiest part of my trip to Japan.The Host and his wife are very considerate. Even though I checked in very late, they still waited patiently for us to arrive. She waited at the door for us to drive up and gave us directions with a flashlight.She was still patient enough to show me around the house even though it was late. I didn't know how to use the water heater at that time, and the host kindly explained it to us. Almost every time we go out, the couple will see us off at the door.They are very friendly and even gave us two bottles of green tea when we left the house.❤️

We had a great stay at this house. Perfect for a family of 5 with small children and a nanny.

This place is not fancy, but it is roomy, well appointed and comfortable. It is in a great location close to four different train stops, and you can walk to restaurants and sightseeing. It is two units on two floors with steep stairs, and was great with multiple kids. Would rent again.

We couldn’t have asked for a better host for our first trip to Japan. We had an incident occur before our stay with one of our family members and the host went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. Not only did they show concern, they booked us taxis to assist us to get the help we needed. The home was beautifully appointed and was very comfortable for our family of 6. It was the experience I hoped for when booking. Otsu is a quiet town and made for a nice respite after the hustle and bustle of the crowds in Kyoto and Osaka. I highly recommend booking this home for your trip to Kyoto!

The location is in a quiet neighborhood a short walk from the Keihan line, which runs up and down the city and will take you all the way to Osaka if needed. If you like walking, you can get to Kawaramachi and Kyoto Station and beyond. The room was spacious, spotless, and well-furnished, equipped with everything I needed and more. The coffee table and entryway were stocked with a number of travel pamphlets. The building itself is charming in a very '80s way, but the elevator is smooth and quiet. Last but certainly not least, Sumi is a true superhost, bringing much-needed Kyoto hospitality to Airbnb accommodations. She was ready to help with anything related to my trip, even things I hadn't though of yet.

We just loved staying at Sumi's place, it was nice and cosy. Everything tidy, we'll organized and with instructions in English so it was perfect for us who don't speak Japanese. She was attentive and took care of us all the time. It's well located and it's close to almost all touristic areas. We felt like home and recommend it 100% ❤️

Sumi's place was perfect for our family of 3. It was very roomy, very clean, and in an amazing location. Sumi's instructions and recommendations were excellent. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto.

If you’re looking for a convenient place to stay in Kyoto close to lively life, Ken’s place is perfect. The entry is on a beautiful tree lined street on a canal surrounded by restaurants and bars and in the back the deck over looks the Kami River and biking/walking path. The apartments quiet. Wonderful amenities if you want to cook or do laundry. The apt., although well equipped with everything you may need as if you were at home, is a bit tight in the entry, kitchen, bath and toilet area. Not a big deal if you don’t mind beautiful aesthetics. It’s nothing glamorous but who needs that when you’re traveling. You should be outside most of the time! You can pay a fortune and stay at a hotel or be extremely comfortable at Ken’s place. Would definitely recommend and stay again if we ever come back to Kyoto! And worth mentioning…. Ken is a wonderful host and he was quick to respond and give thoughtful suggestions.

I stayed at Hoshino’s for a night and was warmly welcomed by him. He showed me everything clearly and efficiently and made sure I felt right at home. Lovely location as well for some nice walks!

Great, quiet place. In the center of many tourist attractions. Yasuyuki is very friendly, always smiling and speaking different languages including English. Very easy to do loundry cost just 500 yen, and ready after few hours. Highly recommended!!!

The host is kind and the location is good. I was really grateful for the kind response despite the inconvenience caused by my mistake during the check-in process. I was also very satisfied with the sightseeing after checkout as they explained the beautiful tourist spots around Kyoto in detail. I recommend this place if you're looking for a place to stay near Gionomizudera. The Warabimochi shop right across the accommodation is also very good.

This is an excellent place to stay with a comfortable bed and thoughtful furnishings. Sumi is an excellent host who provides so much useful information and is always willing to help. She even dropped me at Kyoto station after I checked out. I loved the view from the window and the fact that this place is in a quiet neighbourhood but close by to many amenities and restaurants. Perfect host and stay.

Location was amazing and it was perfect for family of 4. Very cozy and comfortable. May was very accommodating and very helpful.

Excellent location and very easy to get to places. Like many places in Japan, spaces are smaller, however we really loved the deep wardrobe/ cupboard. We were able to hang clothes, stack all our bags on a shelf and roll our suitcases straight in. Host was very helpful and gave us great information on current events. Would recommend.

JA’s place felt like home, safe and fully equipped. Heated musical toilet a surprise plus!

May was really kind and gave a lot of recommendations that she had typed out and left in the room for us! The location is great, less than a 5 min walk to the markets and has a ton of shops/restaurants. The room was also spacious, similar size to a hotel room as well as the bathroom. Would definitely book again
