Fox Den Cabin (Cabin #1) at Buffalo Gap Retreat

NicolaRating, 5 stars19 months ago
A rustic cabin in the woods for some R and R was what we had hoped for…and we got it! Beautiful wood beams. So nice to have a private bathroom, as well as a window unit for heat and A/C. The shared kitchen was less than 50 feet away and had all the cooking vessels, utensils and cookware to make a meal. But we loved going to cafe! Barbara and her team served up delicious meals.

Historic Tiny Log Cabin at Beechwood View Farm

We really enjoyed our weekend stay in Robin's cabin. Check-in was easy, with Robin greeting us and showing us where to park. Our stay was in April and the heater kept the cabin cozy all night. There were plenty of blankets as well. It was great being unplugged for the weekend and we slept well. The bathroom is a quick walk up to the house. While we didn't get to spend much time at the farm during the day, the stars and spring peepers were treats to experience at night. Overall a great stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at the cozy cottage! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a sweet personal note that made us feel right at home. The location is stunning, and we wish we could have explored the trails, but the weather and our other commitments kept us busy. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy everything this beautiful place has to offer!

My man and I had a wonderful time having a quiet and private weekend getaway. The place is so cozy and the hosts are so welcoming. It’s a beautiful view off the back porch. One of the highlights of my weekend was getting to spend time with Bilbo the cat. He was so snuggly and gave us a warm welcome as soon as we arrived! Would love to come back here again!

The Humble Abode Camp

HarmonRating, 5 stars4 days ago
This was our second stay at the Humble Abode. Perfect place to enjoy the spring! Cozy cabin with a great deck and rocking chairs to sit in the mornings or evenings and enjoy the beautiful views. Great fire pit to sit around in the evening to enjoy the stars. Houston and Anne Marie were super responsive and helpful, including taking time out of their day to get the outdoor shower working and bring up more firewood. Our 2 dogs had a great time as well, lounging around with us on the porch or watching us play cornhole later in the day. Would highly, highly recommend the Humble Abode for those looking for a comfy, peaceful getaway. We hope to be back ourselves!

The space was impressively modern and felt much more spacious than we expected. Even the chickens added a charming, warm touch to our stay. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Robins Nest

VanessaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Good location that’s close to town (9-mins Uber to Leesburg) but private and gives a small taste of being surrounded by nature. Place was very clean and decorated beautifully. Bed and pillows were exceptionally comfy. The coffee that was provided for the Keurig was strong and delicious. At night there are a lot of bugs and the place can benefit from a screen for the balcony and front door (but that’s a given being out in nature; I’m just squeamish from big bugs). The hosts gave us super clear instructions and communication was so friendly and informative! Overall, we had a great stay.

Are you a spiritual person? Or a naturalist? Do you experience pleasure or pain? Stressed out or burn out. In this life as humans we experience a plethora of emotions. No matter your circumstances no matter your perspective. If you need to rise above, reconnect with your self your family or nature. Doah house is the key. The land holds the bones of those that came before us. The wind carries the songs they used to sing and the rain brings the tears they used to cry. If you are in need of perspective or insight? Maybe just a moment to breath. Take a few days to reset your mind ,body and soul.
