Lake side house rentals in Shell Lake

Beautiful house with all the amenities. The boat rental allowed for us to cruise around and enjoy the lake. Full kitchen for cooking meals to eat on the deck. The host was very prompt and helpful with a small problem we had. Loved the frosted mugs and beer drawer. True Wisconsin.

Right away I was super impressed with the communication. All the information was laid out and easy to understand. We loved the cabin and its location. We were comfortable and enjoyed every part of our stay. We played games (indoor/outdoor), enjoyed a couple bonfires, had family dinners in the dining nook, went on walks in the area and spent some time in Spooner (eating and shopping.) It was nice to have a simple coffee maker. The kitchen had plenty of items for cooking. We brought up homemade chili and heated it up in a pot, made eggs every AM and one night we used their grill. Plenty of kitchen items! The property is beautiful. I loved relaxing while my husband went fishing with our children. My husband and dog met the neighbor and said he was really nice. I LOVED the stores in Spooner. The host had information about local establishments; thank you! Towels, extra blankets and bedding were perfect too! Everything was clean and cute decor:) Definitely recommend.

Wow! This was my first Airbnb stay and Keriann set the bar high. She thought of every amenity a guest might need, and then thought of more. The cottage offered a quiet place to stay with a beautiful lakeside view. We enjoyed listening to the resident eagles chattering from their nearby nest and watching them soar to find their next meal. The two-level deck is huge and offered a wonderful space for us to gather. Everything inside the home was labeled, so we could easily find anything we were looking for. The beds were more comfortable than ours at home and there was an ample supply of extra pillows and blankets. Our only regret was booking 2 nights instead of many more. Keriann was so kind and so responsive to help us secure our last minute reservation. She is a gem of a host. Her commitment to provide the highest level of hospitality at her property is unmatched. We can’t wait to book our next visit to Eagle Crest Cottage!

Our family had a wonderful time! The cabin was clean, comfortable, had all amenities listed, and a perfect for 6 adults. The surroundings were gorgeous and peaceful, and we enjoyed watching several eagles fly around the lake. We definately look forward to staying here again! Thad and Cris

Beautiful location on a lake, great views, house was very clean, inviting and felt like home. Owner is responsive and friendly. If you are looking for a retreat in the Northwoods this is the place! I will be booking again very soon.

The weather was warm enough this time where we got to enjoy smores on the campfire and sat on the dock to watch the beautiful northern lights play across the sky. Everything was very nice. The beds were very comfy. The place was well stocked with towels and dishes. We had a nice time. Sarona area and Long Lake is a beautiful area. We hope to return.

My wife and I just stayed at FishTail Lodge! It was Perfect! Pictures were exactly how the cabin appeared. Tom is an amazing host who responds to any question quickly. Check in and Check out was easy. The Cabin is in a Wonderful location and is spotless. There is so much to do within the property itself. From Relaxing at the fire pit, to the screened in porch or on the pontoon. There is a pool table, darts, and ample games and movies. The beds are amazingly comfortable. We have rented other cabins in the past, I would say, without question, this is the best place we have rented in every aspect. If you are reading reviews in order to help decide if this is the place. . . This IS the place! Rent it! You won't be disappointed.

We had an amazing stay! The home was spotless, cozy, and beautifully designed—exactly like the photos, but even better in person. One of the highlights was definitely the hot tub—clean, private, and perfect for relaxing after long days of exploring. Everything we needed was there—from soft towels and comfy beds to a well-stocked kitchen. The location was quiet and peaceful. Very fun place to stay! There was plenty of space and the pullout couch was surprisingly comfortable. The kids loved finding all the mini treehouses scattered throughout. The host stopped by and was very kind.

Josh’s River house was everything we needed for a great rainy weekend! It was so peaceful and such a beautiful place to gather with friends!

We really enjoyed our stay here. David was nice, super helpful and responsive and his dog is so cute and friendly. We also enjoyed canoe and kayak, which are free and enough for 5 people. Also, the view from house is really beautiful with lake view. Firepits and barbeque grills are easily used and again they are free, including unlimited firewood! We highly recommend this place to stay!

Enjoyed our second stay at Don’s cozy cabin. Long Lake is our favorite vacation spot! Great fishing, boating, and simply enjoying the sights. We’ll be back!

This was our second stay at this beautiful lake house, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered! Even though the weather wasn’t perfect this time, the house more than made up for it—it’s modern, clean, and has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. We really appreciated the hosts' recommendation to check out the local indoor pool, which was a fun way to spend a rainy few hours. The lake is incredibly clear and peaceful—such a calming view to wake up to. Our kids had a blast fishing and paddling around in the paddle boat. The whole trip flew by way too fast, and we’re already looking forward to coming back again. A new local favorite for us this trip was Redemption Cafe—an absolutely adorable outdoor spot that’s perfect for a coffee break, ice cream, and antiques. Highly recommend stopping by! This house continues to be a special retreat for our family!

This cozy little cabin was such a perfect little slice of heaven! Once the clouds cleared, we had the most amazing views of the sunset over the lake through all of the large picture windows that covered the entire lake side of the cabin. The gas fire stove was perfect to warm up the cabin quickly in the mornings as we were there when the temps got down into the 30s at night and we opted to keep the heat low overnight. If you plan to do meals in the cabin, take note that there is limited space for pantry items-easy access mobile storage that can be stowed on top of the refrigerator and under a bench is highly recommended. Additional tips would be to bring several gallons of drinking water, as the well has (at of the time of this review) unresolved hydrogen sulphide gas that causes the water to smell like rotten eggs.

Carol’s place was perfect for our weekend stay while in Siren for a hockey tournament. Incredibly clean, private, peaceful, and perfectly laid out. She was a great host and made sure all our q’s were answered throughout our stay. Highly recommend anyone stay @ Carol’s cabin!

We stayed here for Mother's Day weekend and it was everything I could have asked for. Private and peaceful with beautiful lake views. Jeff was very responsive and sent us all the necessary instructions prior to checking in. The house and property were exactly what I expected from the pictures.
