Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Seven Devils

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Cranberry Cottage. It was immaculate, comfortable, and charming. Plenty of towels, pillows, blankets, and even dog bowls and toys to use during your stay. Our Labradors loved playing in the fenced in yard while we sat around the fire pit. Kathy was a wonderful host with great communication. The little extras like snacks, drinks, and toiletries were greatly appreciated. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Perfect place! Was looking for a rental that was not up a mountain. Had to be "flat", close to App state and King street/restaurants. East King is seconds from King Street/App State. Flat parking pad. No steps into the back door. Easy to retrieve key. Spotless. My parents stayed at a nearby hotel (used their points) and we had a wonderful weekend showing them all over Boone and the area and had a wonderful time at the house to celebrate both our daughter's birthdays and Easter. Location, location location! Super convenient- we would absolutely rent here again! Owner was almost instantly responsive and very helpful.

Had a very nice getaway at the Maybell house! The property was private, peaceful and very clean. The house is not far from shops and restaurants. Would definitely come back!

We had an amazing stay and thoroughly enjoyed the front yard for all day sledding! The house was spacious - perfect for our four families! Most importantly, the hosts were super friendly and responsive to any questions we had! We will definitely be back to enjoy the river in the summer!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Beech Front. It had everything we needed for our trip, and it was a comfortable home away from home.

The bed is amazing and location is walkable to restaurants, shops and university. Earthfare is close for groceries, etc. Denise is friendly and responsive and finding the place is a straight shot when arriving to Boone. Parking is easy and convenient to right into the cottage. Everything you need is in the house and spotless.

We loved our stay at the Laurel House! It was perfect for our family of four (with two young kids). The house is spacious and extremely walkable. It was easy to stroll into town for lunch, ice cream, playground time, etc. The hosts were responsive, friendly, and available which put us at ease during our stay. Highly recommend for a cozy mountain getaway!

Amy and her husband are very friendly. It’s a very peaceful place as I lived in South Carolina and I travel up here to work for the time being I love studying at her place. This is the second week that I stayed. I will be staying there more. I enjoyed myself very friendly to talk to and she makes beautiful pottery, but as her place it’s sparkly clean very comfortable and warm and there is a local sushi restaurant and a pizzeria that I ate at that I haven’t enjoyed and will visit again.

Great place to stay and very quiet. It had everything I needed. Clear check-in instructions, and it was easy to come and go without the host needing to be there. Very clean! I will stay there again when in town.

We had a lovely time at Luc and Linda’s place. It is walkable to ASU and downtown which is great bc we couldn’t get an Uber. The place itself was well-maintained, had everything that you’d need to stay for a couple of days. I’m also happy that there was a futon sofa so 2 of us got our own beds. The space is well-lit and clean in a safe and quiet neighborhood, so I’d 💯 recommend if you’re visiting Boone.

We chose this property due to its location, cost, and pictures. We were there for a quick weekend to visit family in the area. The unit was clean and comfortable. While we did not prepare meals the kitchen seemed very well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc. The area was 100% safe and the location was excellent. Maybe a little too close to Kilwans Chocolate Store. It was quiet, even though it was located on West Jefferson's Main Street. Instructions for checkout were displayed on the refrigerator. Can't imagine anyone not being extremely happy with this unit and we would love to stay again.

This is the second time we have stayed here. It is one of our favorite places to stay when it is the 2 of us!! Only thing I would change is having coffee,tea, little shampoo/conditioner basket welcome basket available upon arrival. Just makes life so much easier especially if you get in later and don't realize that is not provided. Just a thought for the price of rental. Again not complaining it would just be a nice little thought.

Great place to stay while visiting town. Very clean, instructions are very clear and understandable, place is close to King Street, and host is so nice and communicative. Definitely recommend for anybody needing quick and quiet place to stay.

Kelly's 2nd Street Retreat is spectacular. From the high end appliances and fixtures, to the cleanliness and spaciousness of the unit, the breathtaking art (Kelly is an amazing artist), exquisite decor, the comfortable beds and linens, perfect water pressure, lots of lamps and seating, my group of four felt right at home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is in the heart of West Jefferson so we could easily walk to restaurants and shops. Access was super easy. We parked right in front of the unit with no problem. Kelly was friendly and responsive and communicated instructions/suggestions/recommendations clearly. Checkout instructions were clear, easy and not burdensome at all. On a scale of 10, my entire group would rate our stay at least a 15. We definitely hope to stay here again when we return to West Jefferson.

We loved the cabin! We were a family of 2 with small children and the space is perfect for us! The location is unbeatable just a few walks to the bunny slope. The kids had fun sledding down a small area outside the apartment building. The cabin has everything you need. From cooking, cleaning and laundry. Board games for family entertainment and so much more! Did I mention it has the most stunning view of the Ski resort? Eva was a great host too. Communication is top-notch! She was very nice and answered all my questions. We locked ourselves out the cabin and she was prompt in helping us out. I 100% recommend this cabin if you need a family getaway at Beech Mountain!

This was our second year at Sugar mountain and first time at Allan’s place! The kitchen was well stocked and I was able to bake my homemade treats. Lots of pots and pans for your stay! The place was very spacious and the view well it’s just immaculate. Would stay again! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home!

Views are insane and this place was clean.

Our group (two couples) had a wonderful time at Nicole’s condo. We have stayed at a few other places at Chetola Resort. Nicole’s place was the best. The inside was spotless and had many added amenities that went above what was expected. It’s a corner unit with a nice view of the pond. The condo is located in a prime location for exploring Blowing Rock. It’s an easy walk into Town, the mall, and Cone Manor Park. Overall, a great value!

Liz and Chris have a wonderful condo, the walk to the slopes is very short, and they have a private locker available on the slopes to store ski gear, which makes the walk even easier.

Though it’s close to the main road, you need four-wheel drive in winter to get to this condo. We got stuck and could not reach the condo- ended up driving to the next town for snow chains as that was the only way to get there. It’s a nice place and very close to Beech Mountain but important to be aware of accessibility in winter.

Fabby is a wonderful host! The beautiful unit was well stocked with everything we needed. I see the care Fabby puts into making guests very comfortable for their stay. We adored being so close to the slopes. We could see the chair lift from the balcony. I highly recommend this location. We would love to return.

Whitney & Jay were great hosts—responsive and helpful when we had questions. The space was just as shown/described in the listing. My family of four enjoyed our stay during spring break and our first time skiing during Sugar Mountain’s end-of-season March Madness. We made such wonderful memories here. Be sure to enjoy the most stunning sunrises and sunsets from the balcony.
