Great location. Woke up to the sounds of birds. very responsive. I would have given it a 5 star all the way, David was amazing and responded in a very timely manner. But, the turn over service could have been much better. The previous guest left a wine bottle in the automatic fridge ice dispenser and it was unfounded until my family found a large peice of glass in their drink, serious hazard to drink glass. Should have been spotted by the turn over service but, who would check the ice maker for a bottle a wine? I understand that. Very uncommon and unfortunate for us. David responded in a very fast manner and gave us options to accommodate the situation. I would have left a 5 star if this was the only thing but everything was so unorganized in the kitchen, they had everything but nothing made sense to why it was there. Sink didn't drain. There were also stains on the sheets and a pizza box left by the fridge that wasn't ours. Little things but the turn over service was a let down.

My family felt instantly at home in Mark’s cozy cottage. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the water and our quiet and peaceful mornings spent by the fire (Mark thoughtfully kept us stocked with wood). If you’re looking to visit MDI it was an easy 30min drive. We cannot wait to return in the future!

The location of the house was perfect for our visit to Acadia. It was very quiet and serene with beautiful views of the lake. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and the fire pit at night. We highly recommended this hidden little gem.

Great stay for our family of 5 adults and 3 toddlers! Lots to do and great proximity to Acadia/Bar Harbor. House was well supplied with clear instructions. Brady also connected with us before the stay and kept in touch for anything that came up as a concern. Thank you!

Took a family trip to Acadia and this was a great place to stay. The house was very comfortable and enjoyed the on-site hiking trails and sitting down at the lake and having a wine. Appreciate the quick response from the owner when I had a question. Great getaway!!! Thank you for a memorable stay!

We loved our stay! Everything was as described and we had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook several meals. The view is absolutely beautiful from all parts of the house and we loved the outdoor amenities. Lucy was very responsive and gave us some great recommendations! Would love to come back!

The lakeside cabin was just what I needed. Quiet, private, and right on the water. My dog loved running in the yard and swimming in the lake. The cabin was comfortable with all the basics, and sitting on the porch watching the water was so relaxing. Perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet.

What a wonderful experience! Rebecca was an absolutely outstanding host, always quick to respond and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. My family and I had such a peaceful stay. The home and location were incredibly tranquil, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The house and property were absolutely beautiful, and we loved sipping our morning coffee on the amazing balconies with the breathtaking views. There is so much space, and every room in the house is well thought out, functional, and cozy. The pool is even better than we hoped, so big and clean and in immaculate condition. We spent most of our time swimming and relaxing by the pool. We also enjoyed playing pool and having so many rooms to gather in with the comfort of plenty of new comfy furniture. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind for a vacation away from all the noise and chaos of daily life. Every single area was as described in the listing and better. I stayed there for two weeks and I would stay again. It was very quiet which is my number one need. Two it was clean. Three nice kitchen with all the appliances you need. Four Jeanmarie answered all questions quickly and clearly. Five lots of room in the house. Six it was nice and warm in the winter weather.

My return visit to the Boathouse was even lovelier than I hoped it would be. The location can't be matched by anything else I've seen. I enjoyed a September visit with my dog and was lucky to have pristine weather. I lived a very simple and healthy outdoors life and came home the better for it. The Boathouse is true to its description: it is simple and rustic and uncomplicated but well-equipped, and is perfect for one-and-dog, or for two people. A little coming-and-going from the neighboring houses meant that I didn't feel isolated. Margaret is truly an exceptional and friendly host who communicates promptly and clearly. I almost hesitate to share "my" Boathouse location with too many of my back-home friends because it feels so intimate and special. I already want to be back there. I offer my deep thanks to Margaret and to the place that I could - briefly - call home.

Adorable cottage, newly renovated. Perfect for two with an open space loft for one more. Kitchen is well stocked right down to the coffee. A good location if visiting Fort Knox, Mt. Barrie and not too far from Bar Harbor if that is on your list. Great stay, highly recommend. Beautiful view and private.

I recently stayed with my family at this incredible Airbnb that exceeded all my expectations. This property offered a hot tub, a pool table, and a level of privacy and tranquility that made for a truly relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was being able to watch the northern lights from the hot tub – it was absolutely magical. We spent a week in Acadia, and the location was perfect, just 15-20 minutes from Bar Harbor or the nearest town. The hosts were very responsive, and the place was fantastic for families, being both kid and pet friendly. It was a week filled with unforgettable moments, and I can't recommend this place enough!

Words can’t describe the experience she made for us! By far the best place to stay in the area very beautiful and very clean! Also had plenty to do with the kiddo there with bonus amenities not listed! Now that was the property but Suzanne is a different kinda host the is always looking out for your best interest between her very easy instructions to her great communication! Would absolutely love to come back again before the summer is over!

What a dream it was to stay in this beautiful, dog-friendly spot! Being able to let my pups run, play, and explore the woods was such a gift. The loft, with its high ceilings, was warm and inviting, and the bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up! Tony was a kind and welcoming host—I’m already looking forward to my next stay.

Lol 😂 We were supposed to return on 3/9, and Linsay had blocked time off for us, but plans changed and she was SO understanding!! Love her to pieces! ❤️ We will DEFINITELY be coming back just to visit - in warmer weather of course! Maine can keep their winters! 😂

Beautiful home with a large backyard and super clean. Destioney is a considerate hostess; laid out dog bowls, snacks, water and much more! I would recommend bring earplugs if you're traveling with people who snore loudly or kids as the doors are hollow. Beds are very soft.

Our family had a lovely stay at the Lupine Cottage. Such a peaceful spot. We enjoyed getting out on the water in the kayaks and sitting out in the Adirondack chairs listening to the loons and barred owls call. Nice central location for exploring Acadia and the mid coast. Thanks Kim & Stacy for the precious memories!

The wildflower garden is beautiful right outside the window, and the cottage has been cared for well, decorated lovingly, and cleaned thoroughly. The location was convenient for us. Bruce was helpful and responsive. We were happy that this cottage was available.

The house was as advertised. The location was perfect for our stay. Neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. Really appreciated Gena's quick response to our questions. Great area, beautiful scenery. We would recommend Gena's to anyone wanting to visit Belfast, ME.
