We absolutely enjoyed our stay on the lake in the cutest cabin! The host was easy to connect with, answering all our questions with a timely response. Only two pieces of advice; whatever transportation you’re taking make I would suggest a truck with solid suspension. The cabin is on a long rough dirt road and grooved semi-paved, my Elantra wasn’t the smartest option. Second, I would suggest grocery shopping on your way if you want large items and a lot of stuff because Walmart is ~35-40 mins. We had fires every night, it was a little chilly in Sept to swim but we did kayak, and simply enjoyed the peace and quiet of the early Fall on the lake. There is one little country store ~10 mins away that has some last minute grocery items, camping stuff, adult beverages, and a little delicatessen where you can get breakfast stuff and subs - the guy makes a mean hero. At night would cozy up and watch a movie and the beds were crazy comfortable so slept great. We hope to make it an annual trip!!

Wonderful vacation home with its own water access that had amazing sunrises. The bedrooms were excellent with 3 rooms with king beds, which was perfect for us 3 couples. The open floor plan on the main level had plenty of room for all of us to hang out. The place was very clean, very comfortable, and very quiet. Our host was very quick with any communication and very friendly. This property is perfect if you are looking for peace and quiet on the water with a fanfantastic views.

Awesome stay. Stephen was extremely helpful. We had some issues with electricity at night and he drove down to get us sorted out! The place is very serene with a harbour view at the back of the house. Place is clean and comfortable to stay in with good heating during cold nights.

The description is very clear, this is not a posh hotel. It is clean, comfortable and gorgeous. We traveled with our 11 y/o - she loved it, but I wouldn't recommend it to a family with smaller or rambunctious children. It was incredibly peaceful. The beach was great for finding sea glass. It made a great base camp for exploring the island while not having to fight crowds.

Perfect studio. Used the jetted tub, nice and relaxing. Lots of extras (new toiletries, coffee, filters, sugar, etc.) much appreciated and used. The view, esp at sunrise, was stunning. Quiet neighbors. The beach store (pizza, sandwiches, salads, coffee and more) was very good. Just down stairs and one building over. (get there early for their muffins) I would certainly stay here again.

The Nub on Somes Sound was one of the best stays we’ve had via Airbnb. The double height ceilings from the living room and large deck both overlooking the water bring the peace and beauty of Maine to your door in a cozy, private wood cabin. Looking forward to coming back next year!
