The Stone House is located in a mountain village at the foot of Utsukushigahara, in Nagano Prefecture. It is a genuine stone building made of natural stone and a thatched roof, which is rare in Japan, and it took 12 years to complete the cottage. The stones that came from the site during construction were processed one by one and piled up by the owners themselves, creating a space with a exotic feel with the natural expressions of the stones. The surrounding area is a mountain village with private homes, but the large grounds are surrounded by trees, and in the garden where you can feel the nature of the seasons, birds chirp and the wind blows through the mountains. You may forget about time and place in another world that you reach by climbing a hill. There is also a main house made of stone and a small round thatched hut on the premises, where we grow vegetables and herbs without pesticides. 'A day like a gift' is an experience-type accommodation located in the forest at the top of Domaryeong (700m above sea level) in Minjujisan, Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. We have remodeled a wooden house (Dalbat House, 2005) and a family-built earthen house (So Young Hall, 2006) for our elderly parents, so that only one team of guests can stay in the entire house. Recently, a tree house (Wol Forest House, 2024) was built on a 6-7 meter-high Japanese cedar tree in the Wol Forest, and this can also be experienced for free. The experience is divided into traditional cultural experiences and ecological experiences, which are offered in a variety of paid and free experiences. The mud house was built with wood, earth, and stone from the moon field, like the mountain village of our ancestors. You can experience lighting a fire in a traditional house, where you can feel the wisdom of a house that is cool and warm.
