We spent 3 nights in the apartment and loved everything about it. The place was spotlessly clean and extremely warm and comfortable. The wet room was fantastic and the bed was lovely and comfortable. It was a lovely surprise to find milk, tea, coffee, bread, butter, jam, marmalade and orange juice waitung for us on arrival. Very thoughtful. clear and detailed instructions were left for us and we really enjoyed our stay. can't wait to return.

Sophie is a great host, friendly and welcoming, and very responsive to any queries. The information book she provided in the flat was very helpful. It was a real pleasure to stay here. The flat was clean and comfortable with everything we needed, in a beautiful quiet setting. The patio was a lovely sun trap in the evenings for a drink with stunning views! The local village shop was well stocked with both essentials and a deli counter, and the butcher had a lovely bakery as well as a selection of homemade meals and the best steak we’ve ever had! We ate out one night at the local pub and had a really good meal. There also seems to be a really good bus service that runs regularly through the day if you needed it, but from here you are within easy reach of places to visit like Robin Hood’s bay, Whitby, the coast and the beautiful North York moors. We can highly recommend staying here and would definitely return.

We booked last minute and the host was away but was happy to accommodate us . She advised us that there was work ongoing with the newly built porch and it really didnt affect our stay. After a few problems on the telephone talking us how to get through the gate( it should have been left open) the local agent arrived and all was well The annexe is obviously 'work in progress' with some areas ( dining room) still to be renovated but overall a great place to stay. Was surprised that there was still a christmas garland on the stair bannister! Spotlessly clean but there was an overwhelming fragrance in lounge when we first arrived (? shake and vac or similar) which affected our breathing. Opened windows and fragrance lessened by second day. Great place to stay close to hospital and City Centre. Great having 2 bathrooms. Lovely well equipped kitchen. Spacious bedrooms. When the new porch is finished and the dining area decorated to match the rest of the house it will be fabulous.

The Kennel was an amazing find, Pauline & Graham were very friendly and accommodating hosts. We genuinely felt welcome and loved both the accommodation and the wonderful garden which our dog couldn’t get enough of. We enjoyed our short stay here so much that we decided to book a second, and longer stay later this year.

We had a lovely stay in Ampleforth. Lucy and her family were very welcoming, and we were very comfortable in the annexe. I would recommend!

Beautiful and cosy place to stay. I would definitely come back to stay, and would 100% recommend staying here. It was fully equipped with all the essentials and much more. York centre was a short drive away which was perfect for us.

Great value for money. Small but very clean and comfy. Just what we wanted for a 1 night stay.

This was a great place to stay and was perfect for our road trip. Everyone was clean and modern and Pamela was an excellent host. The little extra touches such as providing bread, milk and eggs added to what was a lovely overnight stop. I highly recommend it!

Juliet has an amazing cottage in a beautiful location. it was very clean and the photos don't do it justice. we really enjoyed our stay and Juliet was a brilliant host. we would absolutely come back.

Amazing stay for our anniversary. Jo was super helpful and responded to every question really quickly. The pictures don’t really do the place justice. Beautiful grounds, super convenient spot, private parking and the flat itself was brilliant. Cosy, comfy, clean and had everything there for a hassle free stay. We will definitely be using again. Such an amazing stay! Sarah was so kind and welcomed us after a long drive. We had explained we were visiting friends in the village and Sarah helped us navigate our way around even showing us some short cuts! The cottage was immaculate and felt so homely - Sarah had even left some very appreciated snacks as well as some breakfast bits and bobs! We were originally planning to bring our dog and Sarah had been so helpful in facilitating this. When our plans changed, she was super responsive. Thank you Sarah! We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay over Easter weekend, Amanda was an excellent host and very good at communicating. The lodge was clean and tidy with everything we needed inside. The treats for us (& the dogs) were an added bonus. We will definitely be staying again and recommending to family. 😊

I had a great stay in Leeds. The property was a comfortable, clean and well equipped. It was also close to a bus stop which provided a quick route into the centre of town.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back. Such a delightful place, well positioned and fully accessible for a blind person with carer. Such lovely touches made us really feel at home here, even decorated for Christmas. Being able to watch the donkeys in the field outside each morning was really relaxing, and so nice to be close to nature like that with such amazing views. John and Pauline were lovely and so helpful, it made our stay really comfortable. You have really thought of everything. Thank you so much

A perfect short break - well located for the various places we wanted to visit around Durham and North Yorkshire. Very nicely appointed with a very nice and comfortable bed and very good size bathroom. Had a small but very functional kitchen. Would definitely stay again...
