Walk up to the abbey, stroll along the piers and collect fossils from the beach, take a ride on the steam train to the neighbouring villages and explore the moors. Please note due to the beach side location of the cottage, there is unfortunately no parking.

Walks onto the moors from the front door , seating area outside to watch the sun go down with a large glass of wine, welcoming family pub across the road, Co-op, and fine dining pub also in the village. Train station to Whitby from the village. We welcome two dogs at the Nest.

Adjacent there is a spacious covered patio area with seating, dining and storage, which looks across to an outdoor patio with fruit trees seating and parking space.

Crumbleclive is a beautifully restored 100 year old cabin set within the dramatic backdrop of Crunkly Ghyll. It was originally the ‘Gun Room’ for the local estate in the 1890s! The Cabin has a balcony overlooking the gorge with the River Esk rapids visible at the bottom. Surrounded by Oak trees you will feel amongst the treetops as birds gather on the branches around you and fly through the gorge below. Top Gallant and is down in the Bay. We have a great veranda with amazing views. WiFi and a Smart TV which includes Netflix. Bedding and towels provided. We provide a free parking pass for the (“Homeowners car park). 3 nights minimum booking. No Pets. The property is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems due to steps and a spiral staircase. Check in 3pm. Check out 11.00 am. I charge no cleaning fee but please leave tidy.

Coach House Cottage a perfect seaside retreat

Coach House Cottage is an old Fishermans cottage above what used to be a stables and coach store (Now a dinosaur and fossil museum). Well situated, above the main street, in the lower part of Robin Hoods Bay it is moments from the beach, the dock, and the hustle and bustle of village life. The cottage is approached along cobbled alleys and/or up a series of stone steps. It is set in its own private back alley.
