The house is a real pearl in Stockholm archipelago, beautifully decorated which allows guests to understand the true living in this unique nature setting. The house is well equipped, with a spacious patio/deck for breakfast, lunch or dinner with brand new deck furniture. The house built in 1912, offers spectacular views from each room and is located next to a 1500 year old viking chiefs' grave shaped like a boat which gives a unique tie to the Scandinavian history. We experienced beautiful waterfront sunsets dining at the the dock house which offers charming overnight accommodations and has all the kitchen, dining/bbq equipment so guests can enjoy the dining at waterfront without running up to the main house. The sauna house is easy to use and guests can cool off stepping into the sea. For local excursions, the house is about 50 minutes drive to Stockholm old town. We thank the host Fredrik and his wife for a fantastic vacation in this spectacular Swedish nature reserve.

We came back for a second time. Last year we had some bad luck with a short stay of a few days and storm Hans and couldn’t see the beauty of this place to the fullest. This year we had much more luck with the weather some rainy and windy days but also some very sunny and quiet days. We had some great time fishing, catch crab, chilling on the sun deck (always a place somewhere with less wind) , did the hike Høgkletten. And just get groceries at the supermarket by boat. AND we’re lucky enough to spot sea otters , sea eagles and beautiful Northern lights on the island itself.

A truly magical place, your own little universe. A quiet and peaceful place like this is not easy to come by these days, especially not with all the modern amenities that Pirjo's place offers. Private sauna, comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, fast WiFi, near-total isolation with a town still in reach... I could go on. A true gem in the middle of the beautiful Finnish nature and without a doubt the best Airbnb I ever stayed at. Pirjo herself is an amazing host. Not only did she always reply quickly and very helpfully – she went out of her way multiple times to accommodate and go the extra mile for me, organizing helpful things for me that I didn't even ask her to. I am so grateful to Pirjo, whose hospitality has been the cherry on top of this amazing vacation-cake. Also the island's caretaker, Heikki, was super nice and helpful and I'm happy to have met him. Sadly I didn't meet Pirjo to thank her in person but I hope we will once I inevitably come back for another stay.

We had a wonderful time with our three little children on this beautiful little island- it has become a place of heart and was the pure relaxation. The house makes you feel immediately comfortable, the host is very reliable and likeable and the sunsets at the fjord right on the water are indescribably beautiful. We hope to come back soon!!

Really nice cabin on the lake: quiet, with a nice trail reachable by boat and/or kayak (provided with the cabin). The outside kitchen has everthing you need to cook. Cool place to go for a family with one kid.

Oyvind's house is huge.... exceeded our expectations! Beautiful waterfront location! One concern. Wifi did not work.

Staying with Kristian was great. He's the nicest host you can imagine. The island is beautiful, quiet and the sauna is awesome in bad weather. We enjoyed the time.

We had a wonderful holiday season at Larissa's island vacation home. Our 3 families felt right at home in this large, very personal house in the southern archipelago of Finland, from the shot and yet quite close to Kotka and Helsinki. From the airport it is only an hour to the jetty and from there you will soon be on the island. The cottage is wonderfully located on the southern tip of the island. There is plenty of space to linger inside (4 separate bedrooms are really exceptional) and outside, sun and wind all day. This is how the weeks are (too) fast. The kitchen is very well equipped. Even with a large chalkboard, everything is not a test, again both indoors and outdoors. The new sauna gets warm quickly. It offers a beautiful view to the sea. Larissa is a great host and so we had very nice days. I fully recommend Villa Vonkka, assuming some experience in island life.

Don’t hesitate with this gem. Had a perfect midsummer with family and friend. Magical place! Hope to come back again ☺️☀️

Staying in Alexander's house was a real experience. It was wonderful to enjoy the peace, the view, the swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and the boat trip to the island. Alexander gave us the good tip to watch the sunset, worth it! As the icing on the cake, we also saw the northern lights. The accommodation was spacious, cozy and very homely. In short, we would have liked to stay longer.

Beautiful location with great views from the house and sauna.

We had a wonderful 14 days in Kornelia's summer cottage. The location and the view of the lake are particularly outstanding. For our children it was like a little adventure where they could discover the beautiful nature of the island freely and safely. On top of that, the accommodation was very well equipped and clean, and Kornelia and Johann and the entire island community were very welcoming. I recommend the accommodation to anyone who wants to spend a wonderful, varied and relaxing time in a great environment.

My mum and me discovered this accommodation by chance, not knowing how to get there or what to expect. We found a wonderful simple place where we felt very comfortable. We took advantage of the sauna every day and were able to see the Northern Lights every evening, even a corona Northern Lights directly above the accommodation. It was amazing to see and of course contributed greatly to the fact that we loved the accommodation. It is simple, but has its charme. We rented a car and I would recommend it to others. Marta and Pawel are lovely hosts and always up for a chat.

Great house, comfortably furnished and there was everything that we needed, clean, tidy & tidy. Full pot!!

We had a wonderful time on the island! Hot sauna and a cold swim every morning. We brought our paddle boards with and were glad to have them -- a great place for it! Enjoyed watching all the birds. Very vibrant bird species and the entire island is covered in a rainbow of flowers. Cabin has everything you need -- deck spaces are great, a perfect spot no matter the weather or wind direction. Thanks for sharing your magical space with us!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage! The place is very nice and the location is absolutely beautiful, perfect for peaceful holidays. Niko was very kind and helpful, always quick to assist and make sure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend staying here and hope to return in the future! :)

It's a corner of paradise for those who love nature. The calm, the softness of the place, the view, everything is relaxing and conducive to contemplation. We had a refreshing stay as we dreamed of. We'd love to go back! The house is functional and it feels good. There is comfort. The hot tub is an amazing plus. If you like peace and quiet, this is a place for you.

Tanja was very nice and helpful. The house is very cozy, secluded, quiet… it is in an idyllic place and has everything you need and more. If I went back, I would stay here again. At first, the snowy roads and the hour and a half to Rovaniemi may be scary, but it's well worth it. There's an incredible tranquility. There's not a sound. The house is at a very good temperature. Again, I greatly appreciate Tanja for all the details and her attention.

We spent a great extended October weekend in the beautiful island of Alglo. Kasper picked us up from the harbor to his boat, and the trip quickly took us in awe of the beautiful archipelago scenery. There was a lovely cottage on a great beach where you could bask in the last rays of the sun in the fall. The island was beautiful with traditional landscapes, as well as its cliffs and the right size for day walks. A few funnel shovels were also found to complement the meal. Kasper's guided island tour was a nice addition. Loved it, and I'm sure we'll have to experience this again in the summer.

We had a lovely stay at Mirkas lake cottage. The cottage was comfy and cute, and the small island was just big enough for us. Everythig was just as described and Mirka provided very helpful advices before and during our days. We enjoyed candlelight-evenings, silence and of course sauna ❤ and saw the most beautiful nightsky with numerous stars, away from city lights.

If you are looking for Paradise, stop looking, this is it! One of our Best Airbnb experience . But if you want fancy restaurants, shops, crowded places or a toilet with a flush, this is not for you. This place is for people with a bit of Robinson Crusoe in them. There is a great sauna, you can swim, read or do some bird-watching... We are already thinking about coming back. Mikaela and her husband Thomas were perfect hosts.
