7-person cottage in the countryside

Renovated house in the heart of Entre-de-Mers, ideally located for visiting the area, 30 minutes from Saint Emilion and 1 hour from Bordeaux. In the town of Blasimon, not far from the departmental lake and the Abbey. My grandparents put their heart and soul into it. So yes, I put my own touch on it, but it was mostly a choice to keep this property that they had left me. I loved growing up there, coming and living there, so I'm sure others will appreciate this place and keep it alive.

We had a lovely stay at the Levant cottage. First of all, Cécile was very responsive and available before our arrival. She sent us very useful directions to get to the place, which is a little hidden behind the church of Caumont. The photos are a true reflection of the condition of the house. The place is very quiet and peaceful, the rooms are spacious and high-ceilinged, the living room is bright. Mattresses are comfortable. We enjoyed the space and the coolness of the house and especially the large garden where we were able to have lunch under a tree in the shade and cool. There is also a large terrace in front of the house but it is in full sun in the morning. We came for a wedding at the Domaine de Ségur, 5 minutes' drive and it was perfect. Cécile was even kind enough to give us a delicious jar of homemade jam. Thanks again for hosting us!

We LOVED our stay. The home is super stylish AND comfortable. Plus, it’s very private. We felt like we had our own home in the vineyards, away from *everything* (although you can still drive to Saint Emillion in 30 minutes or Bordeaux in around an hour). Karine also supplied everything you would need or want, including a speaker so you can hang out in the garden/hot tub and listen to music, which we did most of the time 😅 Overall I can’t recommend it enough. We actually hope to come back and stay because we enjoyed our week there so much!

Thank you Marius, I had a very comfortable night after a long ride. Great apartment, everything I needed including a superb coffee machine. Anyone reading a previous review should note that Marius has responded to comments and the bedroom now has blackout curtains and bedside lamps. This indicates an excellent host. Thanks also for the great bike storage and help fixing my bike.

We are delighted with our stay at Catherine's who was welcoming, discreet, available and full of good advice and delicate touches throughout the 2 weeks of our stay. The house we occupied is very well equipped and easy to live in; the bedding is very comfortable. This is a great property and we will go back without hesitation as soon as the opportunity arises!

We were delighted with this find and it was so lovely to be welcomed into Stéphanie and Christian's home. They were waiting to greet us along with their cute and playful animals. Our children were delighted with this quiet piece of heaven in the French countryside (the kids may have been the loudest for miles around). The beds were incredibly comfortable and we were well rested for the next day. We echo all the other reviews on the fabulous meals prepared by Christian and Stéphanie, full of local delights. They were incredibly kind and generous hosts. The only hitch was airbnb mistranslated how to make payment for the meals so we thought we could pay by card when actually it is cash or cheque only. It wasn't a problem. We drove into a nearby town to use the bank machine. We only hope we did not inconvenience our hosts too much with this. We really loved our stay here and only wish we could have stayed longer and explored more of the area, their farmland and their cooking.

We had a great week at Florence's place which welcomed us very well with lots of good recommendations. Pleasant accommodation. I recommend the small evening in the family cellar next door.

We hade a lovely time here. The house, garden and it's surroundings are beautiful and peaceful and Rachel is such accommodating, amazing and helpful host. There is a lake and forest nearby where you can swim or take a walk. A big plus was also discovering that the kitchen is fully equipped which we appreciated. Would love to return!
