From the moment I booked, María was incredibly sweet and responsive. She welcomed us in person with her adorable dog, Nugget, and showed us the space — a clean, cozy guesthouse perfect for me and my partner. The location was ideal; most places were walkable (6–26 minutes). María and her assistant Lupita were super accommodating. When I couldn’t find an open laundry service, María kindly offered hers at a great price, and I had my clothes back the next morning, neatly folded. Our flight got delayed, and she generously let us check out late. We truly appreciated her hospitality and would absolutely return and recommend!

Loved my stay at Yolanda’s. As others have mentioned, it’s a bit of a hike to/from town, but I enjoyed the walk (sometimes multiple times a day) and felt very safe. The view of the city is gorgeous and being within short walking distance of Cerro del Fortín for running/hiking was a huge plus. Yolanda was super accommodating and even offered to hold my bags at her office in the city and transport them to the apartment since I had an early flight into town. I’d absolutely stay again next time I’m in Oaxaca.

Had a lovely stay - perfect location near to the busy streets, but quiet and peaceful. The outdoor patio area is the perfect place to pass an afternoon or evening on the lounge chairs or hammock. Micaela was helpful and responsive. Overall a beautiful home in a beautiful place.

I had a short stay here but it was wonderful! The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. They greeted me upon arrival with some fresh lemonade and corn, which was lovely (and fresh fruit the following day). They provided some local recommendations and restaurants to visit. The place was unique and has a nice patio and rooftop with amazing views of the city. I loved the area, there were so many shops & restaurants within walking distance with lots going on and other things to see. The hosts were flexible with check-in and offered me a ride to the airport when I left. I highly recommend this place :)

A fantastic apartment in a great location. A fine bed for a quiet sleep. AC to cool you off. Mercado Merced half a block away to buy food or enjoy their restaurants. Honestly one of the best places I've ever stayed in. Nora and her family are wonderful hosts. Would certainly stay there again.

It's hard to put into words how amazing this space is. Not only is it pristine, but the view is breathtaking. There are walls in all the right places while be open and airy. It is private yet expansive at the same time. Truly a beautiful stay. Prior to staying, we were down in El Centro and it was very noisy. Just a few blocks up the hill with Maarten and his family and we weren't awakened by anything, it was a very peaceful neighborhood. Maarten and his family made us feel right at home right away, and all the neighbors were so warm and welcoming. We even made friends at the bottom of the stairs with the business that sells fruit and french fries (papas franceses) - we highly recommend visiting them! Our other recommendation is to book your stay with Marteen for your entire trip and even extend your stay - the location is accessible to all points, the space is beautiful, and Maarten is extremely helpful. One of the best stays for us in the past 10 years!

Maria is a great host with a great airbnb. The location is excellent, just outside the city center (about a 5-minute walk away) but in a very nice neighborhood! The airbnb itself is very nice and tastefully decorated; Netflix etc is available so you can also have a good time inside. The bathroom is a bit small, you can hardly store your own toiletries, but is otherwise fine! We would definitely come back here, thanks Maria! Also the neighbor of Casa Yoo (the neighbor's restaurant) deserves a mention; he was always friendly and attentive and helped us get in the airbnb.

This is a great find if you don´t want to stay in the city but have access to both downtown and hiking trails in the desert. You get the feeling staying here that Rolando and his family genuinely care about you and your experience and trip, and that to me was the most importart part of staying here. The space is also REALLY COOL, you can tell a lot of thought, heart and design went into it. You get a litle slice of El Tule town life without being overwhelmed by the city, walkable to restaurants and basic shopping. Rolando is a great source of information if you want to take some desert hikes, he loves and appreciated nature and the surrounding desert landscape.

We just needed a place in the city for overnight and this unit was perfect. The hosts were very friendly, responsive, and accommodating. The views of the city and mountains are incredible! There are also great restaurants and coffee shops within walkable distance. We highly recommend!

Great little casita you have all to yourself, with kitchen, living room, bathroom, and garden space (& AC). It has a nice feel to it. We booked to come to Oaxaca at a very busy time of year and there was nothing available in the city, but I'm glad we got to stay here. It isn't right in town, but we had no trouble catching a cab on the main road close by and getting to town that way. I think it is possible to take a bus too, but we never did this. Victoria is so friendly and warm, helping us organise cabs to the house and to the city, recommending a local restaraunt nearby, and neighbourhoods to check out (Jalatlaco). She made us lemonade when we arrived, and even said we could borrow her car if we let her know when we would want to use it. A fantastic host. The only downside to this place, which I hate to say, is that unfortunately the internet is really slow.

Patricia's home is very nice and very clean. It is in a great location in the Jalatlaco neighborhood. You can easily walk to the neighborhood church, good restaurants and cafes. There are craft shops, candy, etc. If you like to walk a little more you can easily get to Santo Domingo and downtown. As for the accommodation, I think the cost was very affordable and it was totally worth it for the cleanliness of the room and the location of the place. The room and bathroom are small, but it has enough to rest and enjoy the city. I didn't read the description and I didn't ask if it had a TV, so we were a little surprised that it didn't have a TV in the room, but the truth is that we didn't need it during our stay. We spent a lot of time walking, so there wouldn't be time to watch TV. But it would be good to consider it for some people. But the stay was very pleasant and Patricia was always attentive.

The place's location is excellent. It has all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay, it is a private and cozy space. I was always responded to the messages quickly, and even though there was a problem with the hot water the first night, they resolved it quickly. the people who attended us were super friendly, very attentive and always taking care of us, they gave us clear directions and information about the events for our visit in the season of the dead. the distance to the center is about 20 min are relatively few but to return at night it is a bit lonely. the advantage is that less than 50m away is the citybus that takes you downtown and there are also taxis that work like colectivos. the attention and the place 20/10 very hygienic, spacious and beautiful. i recommend it

This is the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. If I could I would live here for the rest of my life. Some of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen in my life. Bright sunshine waking me up in the morning. Extremely clean and very friendly quiet guests. So green with so many plants. If this place ever comes up for sale and I have the money I will buy it immediately.

I'd go back a thousand times. We had a divine rest. The neighborhood is beautiful, full of cafes and murals. Super quiet at night. The bed is very comfortable. She was an amazing host right there for everything I needed. She even had a blender for my smoothies which is rare for an Airbnb and then she provided me with anything else I needed. She was helpful when I needed to find a cab for something. She had a daughter that that could speak English if we needed help translating. She was willing to accommodate me for any of my needs.

We enjoyed our stay at Carlo's place and really appreciate the great and kind hospatility of his family. They gave us lots of recommendations and have been very helpful. The apartment is very spacious (on the photos in Airbnb it looked much more tiny). We also loved the inner couryard and the lovely dog! It was also very calm.

Super responsive host and helpful with whatever we needed, whenever. The listing matched the description and everything was as stated. Location was off the beaten path, but coming from Manhattan, it is what we were looking for and going into the city center was a breeze. The shower did drain slow, but thankfully there was the outdoor shower, which we ended up using the rest of the stay because it was just a better experience. We enjoyed our stay at this country experience.
