Had a lovely stay - perfect location near to the busy streets, but quiet and peaceful. The outdoor patio area is the perfect place to pass an afternoon or evening on the lounge chairs or hammock. Micaela was helpful and responsive. Overall a beautiful home in a beautiful place.

I had a short stay here but it was wonderful! The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. They greeted me upon arrival with some fresh lemonade and corn, which was lovely (and fresh fruit the following day). They provided some local recommendations and restaurants to visit. The place was unique and has a nice patio and rooftop with amazing views of the city. I loved the area, there were so many shops & restaurants within walking distance with lots going on and other things to see. The hosts were flexible with check-in and offered me a ride to the airport when I left. I highly recommend this place :)

From the moment I booked, María was incredibly sweet and responsive. She welcomed us in person with her adorable dog, Nugget, and showed us the space — a clean, cozy guesthouse perfect for me and my partner. The location was ideal; most places were walkable (6–26 minutes). María and her assistant Lupita were super accommodating. When I couldn’t find an open laundry service, María kindly offered hers at a great price, and I had my clothes back the next morning, neatly folded. Our flight got delayed, and she generously let us check out late. We truly appreciated her hospitality and would absolutely return and recommend!

Loved my stay at Yolanda’s. As others have mentioned, it’s a bit of a hike to/from town, but I enjoyed the walk (sometimes multiple times a day) and felt very safe. The view of the city is gorgeous and being within short walking distance of Cerro del Fortín for running/hiking was a huge plus. Yolanda was super accommodating and even offered to hold my bags at her office in the city and transport them to the apartment since I had an early flight into town. I’d absolutely stay again next time I’m in Oaxaca.

A fantastic apartment in a great location. A fine bed for a quiet sleep. AC to cool you off. Mercado Merced half a block away to buy food or enjoy their restaurants. Honestly one of the best places I've ever stayed in. Nora and her family are wonderful hosts. Would certainly stay there again.

It's hard to put into words how amazing this space is. Not only is it pristine, but the view is breathtaking. There are walls in all the right places while be open and airy. It is private yet expansive at the same time. Truly a beautiful stay. Prior to staying, we were down in El Centro and it was very noisy. Just a few blocks up the hill with Maarten and his family and we weren't awakened by anything, it was a very peaceful neighborhood. Maarten and his family made us feel right at home right away, and all the neighbors were so warm and welcoming. We even made friends at the bottom of the stairs with the business that sells fruit and french fries (papas franceses) - we highly recommend visiting them! Our other recommendation is to book your stay with Marteen for your entire trip and even extend your stay - the location is accessible to all points, the space is beautiful, and Maarten is extremely helpful. One of the best stays for us in the past 10 years!

las personas que nos atendieron fueron super amables, muy atentos y siempre cuidando de nosotros, nos dieron indicaciones claras e información sobre los eventos para nuestra visita en temporada de día de muertos. la distancia al centro son como 20 min son relativamente pocos pero para regresar de noche está un poco solitario. la ventaja es que a menos de 50m esta el citybus que te lleva al centro y también hay taxis que funcionan como colectivos. la atención y el lugar 20/10 muy higiénico, amplio y bonito. lo recomiendo

Rosy était super gentille et accueillante. Elle nous a accomodée car nous devions arriver à une heure tardive. La chambre et la salle de bain était super propre à notre arrivée. L'espace commun est propre et agréable. La vue de l'appartement est magnifique. Le centre ville est facilement accessible en bus.

La casa de Silvia, no solo era como se ve en las fotos, sino que tambien el ambiente familiar que se respira es superlativo. La casa se limpia a diario, las hacitaciones son amplias y extremadamente comodas, y tanto la terraza como el patio se pueden pasar HORAS leyendk, u observando las plantas o deleitandose uno con los las vistas o sonidos. Ademas, en 10min andando esta el Zocalo y hay muchas tiendas y mercados a mano, no dejando de ser un lugar muy tranquilo. Si vuelvo a Oaxaca quiero q ESTE sea mi sitio para dormir.

¡Nuestra estancia fue excelente! El cuarto estaba impecablemente limpio, era muy acogedor y la ubicación facilitaba mucho movernos por la ciudad. Aldo fue un anfitrión increíble, siempre atento y disponible en todo momento. Incluso nos ayudó personalmente a cambiar una llanta que se nos ponchó, algo que valoramos muchísimo. Recomiendo totalmente hospedarse aquí si buscan un lugar cómodo, seguro y con un gran anfitrión. ¡Mil gracias por todo, Aldo!

La casa es cómoda, cuenta con lo necesario para pasar una estadía agradable, el lugar es tranquilo, se duerme muy rico. Cuenta con estacionamiento privado si traes carro. Está ubicada en un pueblito a una distancia de 20 min del centro de Oaxaca lo que permite alejarse del bullicio del centro (en temporada alta se agradece). La Sra Margarita (mamá de Yoalticitl) vive en la casa contigua en el mismo terreno es muy amable, nos regaló pan y chocolate el último día y nos dió algunos tips de lugares a visitar muy útiles. Muy importante!, en esta casa no hay problemas de agua (como en otras zonas de Oaxaca) porque viene del manantial de la montaña. Hay un parque ecoturístico, presas y algunos restaurantes cerca para conocer Yo fui una semana en plan combinado trabajo/paseo con mi esposo y disfruté mucho la estadía. Si buscas un lugar tranquilo, rodeado de naturaleza y una casa cómoda un poco lejos del ruido pero a la vez con fácil acceso a la ciudad, este es el lugar!!!

We enjoyed our stay at Carlo's place and really appreciate the great and kind hospatility of his family. They gave us lots of recommendations and have been very helpful. The apartment is very spacious (on the photos in Airbnb it looked much more tiny). We also loved the inner couryard and the lovely dog! It was also very calm.

Super responsive host and helpful with whatever we needed, whenever. The listing matched the description and everything was as stated. Location was off the beaten path, but coming from Manhattan, it is what we were looking for and going into the city center was a breeze. The shower did drain slow, but thankfully there was the outdoor shower, which we ended up using the rest of the stay because it was just a better experience. We enjoyed our stay at this country experience.
