Beachfront vacation rentals in Santa Cruz

Paulo‘s AirBnB was amazing! The accommodation is big and has a nice view not only onto the airport but also the banana plantage and lots of beautiful flowers planted all around the property! It was super clean and tidy, lots of space to park your rental car and there even is a private gym and laundry room. We were very pleased with our stay and would love to come back here during our next trip! Obrigado!

This is truly an amazing place! We celebrated my husband’s 75th birthday and your place was a total surprise for him. He loved everything, the personalized welcome sign in Swedish, the wonderful accomodation, the fantastic views, the total calm and of course the cat Simba. We would live to come back! It has been sometime since I stayed in a real home-y and cosy house like Betty's. Our whole group (two families with small children ) was very pleasantly surprised by this beautifully decorated home. There were many essentials as well as some offerings by the host readily available. The location(although not very close to the historic center) is fantastic as it is possible to walk to some famous rock pools and a beach, as well as many restaurants, a mall and a supermarket. Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat.

Beautiful house. The driveway is easy to miss if you're not paying close attention the first time. Well equipped kitchen. Next to a walking trail by the sea. Well situated to drive to other attractions around the island. Fanal forest, P Moniz, Santana, PR16, were not far away.

Raquel’s place was absolutely impeccable. After five nights of hopping between different beds, my friend and I felt so lucky to land here for three restful nights — exactly what we needed. The space had everything we could have asked for and more. The check-in process was super easy, and Raquel had everything clearly laid out with thoughtful instructions. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us — it truly felt like a breath of fresh air.

Sofia met us at the square upon arrival in Jardim do Mar and walked us to the house. She showed us where everything was and made sure we were well settled. We loved that the kitchen was well equipped for real cooking! We enjoyed meals on the beautiful patio. We felt extremely safe in the area. Our 7 year old daughter could walk to our friends' home around the corner (we would never let her do that at home). The beds were comfortable and towels were well stocked. We also loved having a washing machine and clothes line. We would definitely stay there next time we visit our friends!

We loved staying in Corinas well equipped unit. 2 large light filled bedrooms, 2 bathrooms was great with 3 of us and the living area is spacious . We loved the balcony with great view especially at night with the lights of the town and hills. We loved the kitchen eatery as well with beautiful views. Having a parking space within the complex was wonderful! Enjoyed the roof terrace as well. Thanks Corina!

Annikka is a very friendly host. Always answered quickly to our questions. The apartment corresponded to its description. Stunning view of the ocean from the balcony. Nearby are beach resorts, a promenade along the sea, a large shopping center. Convenient access to the city center.

Alles super! Die Kommunikation verlief problemlos. Die Lage ist optimal. Von dort aus kommt man über all gut hin und es gibt über die Straße direkt ein Einkaufszentrum mit Supermarkt. Danke !

We are glad we booked at this spot! The balcony was wonderful to have and everything was clean. What stood out the most was our very responsive host making sure we got all checked in even while her car was broken down on the side of the road! Despite the emergency, she responded to all our messages promptly and helped us check in. I was extra grateful when I woke up extremely sick from some bad fruit the night before and we were allowed a late check out until I recovered! We even left one of our passports at check out and she made sure the staff kept it safe for us. Very helpful owners, would recommend.

Daniel’s apartment was the perfect place for our trip to Madeira. It is located very central right next to all the main areas and within 100m of the beach and the main dining area. The apartment was very well maintained. Everything was in pristine condition. Air conditioning worked perfectly and even the kitchen was super useful. He also put a Marshall speaker inside which was super useful and a private terrace. Daniel also prepared a file full of local recommendations for restaurants and an itinerary and also clear instructions. Would recommend!

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le logement ! (famille de 6 personnes) Celui-ci est bien situé, une belle vue, endroit très paisible et privé. Il est très bien équipé, piscine chauffée (pour 30€/J), barbecue disponible, très spacieux et propre. Ce qui en fait un très bon rapport qualité-prix. On recommande !

Can’t recommend enough. Clean, fantastic space, great location. Marina really helpful and always responsive. Well equipped kitchen with everything for meals in but equally a 10 minute drive into Funchal. The view from the apartment is beautiful and the location means everything is easily accessible. Supermarket across the road. We didn’t hire a car because the location was so great.

Wir haben uns bei Patricia sehr wohl gefühlt, ihr Papa Carlos war immer für uns da und super sympathisch. Auch Patricia konnten wir jederzeit kontaktieren. This Airbnb was probably one of my favourite I’ve stayed at. The view of the Atlantic Ocean from the guesthouse is incredible, the house was stocked with everything you could possibly need and super clean. I felt at home and Joana was always responsive if I needed anything. The location was perfect for me (definitely need a car to travel around the island). The pictures don’t do the property justice.

We loved our stay in Antonio’s apartment. It was extremely clean and spacious and had everything we needed and then some. It even had a parking garage for our car. I appreciated that Antonio provided plenty of coffee, soap, shampoo and even laundry detergent. That was really nice and convenient. I loved sitting on the deck overlooking the gorgeous ocean view drinking my coffee or sipping a glass of wine. It was so relaxing! I highly recommend booking Antonio’s place. He is a superb, kind host and will go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and happy.

Scott’s place is a great place, not only because the back porch gave an EXCELLENT view, but there was a bus stop right outside the gate! Waking up and coming back to the gorgeous ocean view made our stay worth every penny!

We stayed here for 9 nights as a couple and were absolutely thrilled. Communication was excellent, even before the booking – friendly, smooth, and very helpful, which gave us a great feeling right from the start. The apartment was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished with high-quality amenities – nothing was missing. A real highlight were the balconies and the stunning rooftop terrace – perfect for relaxing! We were also able to use the parking space after arranging it in advance, which was very convenient. Grocery stores and great restaurants are within walking distance – the location is ideal. We felt completely at home and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

I can’t say enough about this ocean view, extremely spacious, charming rental❤️ I would highly recommend for a Girl’s Trip/Family Vacation as there are 3 large bedrooms and 3 full baths! Seixal’s beautiful ocean and mountain view is hilly. It is a short, but steep walk to the beach, restaurants, and a small, but packed grocery store. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves (and nearby waterfalls) was dreamy (as was a rooster in the distance❤️). The best lookouts on the island were nearby, and we loved the PR16 Levada walk, PR1 sunrise, Fanal Forest, and natural pools in Porto Moniz and Seixal. None of us wanted to leave! Thank you to the hosts for an unforgettable trip to your beautiful island!

Wir hatten eine großartige Zeit in der Unterkunft ! Alles war genau wie auf den Bildern und in der Beschreibung – sauber, gut ausgestattet und mit einer wunderschönen Aussicht. Our stay at Rui's home in Faja Da Ovelha was beyond our expectations. If you are looking for a more secluded stay with views of your own this is the place. It's located not far from various hikes and you are just a small drive from areas like Sexial, natural pools, and the black sand beach. The cat was a much welcomed friend during our stay, we looked forward to seeing her each morning. We actually eloped during this stay right in the lower garden of the Airbnb, it was such a special day with a stunning backdrop. Rui was so kind to allow us to be able to do this and even brought the gardeners a few days before so everything was pristine. If you are thinking about booking ...do it...you won't regret it.
