Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in San Miguel de Allende

Our family of 8 had the absolute pleasure of staying at Casa Terraplén from Thursday, May 22 to Saturday, May 24, and we cannot speak highly enough of this experience. The home is a true gem, charming, spacious, and perfectly situated in the very heart of San Miguel de Allende. From the moment we arrived, we felt embraced by the warmth of its colonial architecture, tasteful Mexican décor, and inviting spaces that made us feel both inspired and at home. What truly elevated our stay, however, was the host. In every interaction, they were exceptionally understanding, accommodating, and communicative, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Whether it was helping coordinate taxi services or offering thoughtful recommendations, their kindness and responsiveness made a world of difference and added a personal touch that we deeply appreciated.

Had a great stay, wished we had stayed longer. My son left a few items behind and the host was nice enough to ship them back to the US. Everything about this stay was great. Thank you for hosting my family and I!

This is a very nice, very clean place, great rooftop views. Tucked away down a small, car-less, cobblestone street. There are a lot of stairs if this is an issue for you. We really enjoyed it. Dixon was a great host, very informative, friendly, and always responded immediately if we had a question. San Miguel is lovely!

We had a nice stay in March. This is a one bedroom apartment and felt smaller than the pictures indicated. The kitchen is a galley kitchen with a dorm-sized fridge. As the weather heated up, the bedroom was quite warm and stuffy. There is no AC but there is an overhead fan. The features making it a 5 star stay are the expansive outdoor spaces with spectacular views of the city, and the central location—only a few block walk to the central plaza (Jardin). However note that it is on a very busy street with diesel buses careening around. That made leaving the place and returning somewhat unpleasant. The good news is that you can’t really hear any of this noise from the apartment, even when you are on the patio. Overall it has pros and cons. We would probably choose a quieter neighborhood if we were returning to San Miguel.

What a beautiful home, in a great location, in a very cool town! Pool was a great way to cool down in the hot afternoons. Easy walking to lots of great restaurants and shops. Ginger was a great host and provides an impressive 15 page PDF welcome guide of the area. Her restaurant recommendations were amazing! WiFi only really worked in living room (on 2nd floor) and cell service was spotty unless you were on the roof (being inside a stone building and all) but truly a beautiful home! It does get pretty hot in SMA so just keep that in mind with the lack of AC but she provided us with plenty of fans! Would 100% book again!

This is one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed At! The community is superb! The scenery from every room is beautiful! The service from staff is top notch! The security is strict very safe area! It’s 10-15 minute drive to downtown. I’m definitely going to stay again! It looks even better in person and it’s very spacious! Words can’t express how beautiful the community is! It’s very peaceful and tranquil! The food and services in the spa and onsite restaurant are excellent.

Absolutely 10/10 experience staying at Quinta Tenerias! Sharon was so helpful and communicative. The apartment was so beautiful and spacious for 4 people - two full master bedrooms. The concierge going grocery shopping for us saved us a ton of time and added a nice touch being able to cook breakfast every morning. Best part is that housekeeping cleaned daily and addressed every need! What an incredible, walkable, safe part of San Miguel. We will definitely be back!

My first time In San Miguel de Allende was made even better with this beautiful home. I was traveling alone... but enjoyed having so much room. Beautiful courtyard sitting area, bright colorful kitchen, dining and sitting room... with all the comforts of home. There were breakfast treats waiting for me. Charming bedroom, bathroom... and even a full laundry room. Excellent wifi and tv service... although I stayed so busy in town (a short walk away) it wasn't much needed. The view from the rooftop patio is breathtaking. I drank my coffee up there several mornings... watching the hummingbirds buzz around. The hosts were so responsive and helpful. Can't wait to get back soon. Thank you Brigham and Lynn.

This classy, well-kept, and well-located place is wonderfully accessible to the Cathedral, the main plaza, and other key place places at the city center. As a poet and novelist, I loved the fact that the upscale apartments were named after major Mexican literary figures, such as Nobel Laureate Octavio Paz: respect for writers! I was grateful for, among other things, the sumptuous king-sized bed, the elegant rooftop terraces, the bedroom balcony, and the responsive and friendly hosts.

Our stay here was wonderful. The host was very responsive and helpful. The unit was perfect for a couple. The location was very nice and a short walk to the Centro and all the attractions of SMA. We would definitely stay here again.

This property was everything that was advertised and more! The location can't be beat, it's so close to the main square, but since it's in the back of the compound it is wonderfully private and quiet. It's a wonderful combo of modern comfort and old school style with the architectural details. The ceilings! The windows! The bed is extremely comfortable and I was able to find everything I needed (iron, hair dryer, well stocked kitchen supplies, etc.). I highly recommend this property and will be back!

El departamento de Guadalupe es más lindo que en las fotografías. Cuenta con todo lo necesario para una estancia confortable, incluido un patio maravilloso para disfrutar el clima de San Miguel. La cocina está muy bien equipada, por si deseas cocinar. Guadalupe, como siempre, estuvo atenta a nuestras necesidades. La zona es linda y hay supermercados cercanos. El centro está a menos de 10 minutos en automóvil.

Fabulous experience, cozy spot especially for a single traveler or couple. Amazing assistance from the staff regarding our logistics and answering all questions - helped us immensely coordinating various rides. Super centrally located. Very, very nice!

Great place to stay, I’m from San Miguel but my house is still under renovation. Have stayed a couple of times at his place and it’s super peaceful, great for me because I work from home, internet is fast. Also very short walking distance to main square, restaurants, bars, market, close to everything necessary.
