Our family of 8 had the absolute pleasure of staying at Casa Terraplén from Thursday, May 22 to Saturday, May 24, and we cannot speak highly enough of this experience. The home is a true gem, charming, spacious, and perfectly situated in the very heart of San Miguel de Allende. From the moment we arrived, we felt embraced by the warmth of its colonial architecture, tasteful Mexican décor, and inviting spaces that made us feel both inspired and at home. What truly elevated our stay, however, was the host. In every interaction, they were exceptionally understanding, accommodating, and communicative, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Whether it was helping coordinate taxi services or offering thoughtful recommendations, their kindness and responsiveness made a world of difference and added a personal touch that we deeply appreciated.

Beautiful, spacious with high ceilings + multiple places to gather within larger space; as much fresh air as you might want, or not. Rooftop patio has options for both shade and sun. View is terrific. Garden is lush. Big kitchen, fully equipped. Fresh flowers on dining room table. Beds are on firm side even with foam toppers. Close to plenty of restaurants, park, cultural options (we heard chamber work at nearby church; Luna Media at nearby restaurant; literary presentation at nearby hotel etc) Listen to Rosie: bring your comfortable shoes for walking. Getting home is uphill but it's definitely doable (healthy 60-somethings.) Yes - barking dogs in the neighborhood. It's SMA. Host provides white noise machine or bring your own! Two aspects we love the most: ground floor layout reminiscent of hacienda - rooms wrap around 3 sides of a courtyard. With the sliding roof, you can bring the outside into the courtyard. And most of all - we love Rosie and her team. Exceptional and gracious.

Very charming colonial style house located in the center of everything. A very unique experience! The host greeted us at the house and showed us around. The rooftop is absolutely the best. I also find the house very clean. There was a bit of issue with hot shower, but the host tried his best to fix it.

My family and I really enjoy this beautiful home. Lots of space for the kids to run around the backyard.

We loved our stay at Aurelio's house. From the beginning, Aurelio was a very responsible and attentive host. The house is simply beautiful: everything was impeccably clean, and details like the floors, terraces and fountain make it truly special. We brought a car but didn't use it at all, as the location is unbeatable: everything is within walking distance. The house is super central, which made it very comfortable to explore the area on foot every day. Don't miss the craft market, it's a local gem! Thank you Aurelio and Rafa for everything. A very nice house, in a condominium located in a strategic point, very close to the center and to shops and restaurants.

I felt fortunate to find such a great place to stay. I was traveling my myself and felt safe walking around the neighborhood and in my lodging. The rooftop had nice views and a comfortable place to sit so I enjoyed my book and the warm weather. The location was great and the lodging was clean and had everything I needed. It was quiet and the bed was really comfortable.

Osacr is an excellent host, the apartment has everything you need and is super clean. The pool was warm and very clean. My grandchildren really enjoyed it. Plus the transportation to the center is incredible... Everything is great, 100% recommended.

Our family really enjoyed our three-night stay. The location couldn't be better. It is close to the center of town, but off the main roads and very quiet. Note that this apartment is on the third floor, up two flights of stairs. But the patio seating is lovely, and a nice breeze can blow through the windows. We would stay here again.

This classy, well-kept, and well-located place is wonderfully accessible to the Cathedral, the main plaza, and other key place places at the city center. As a poet and novelist, I loved the fact that the upscale apartments were named after major Mexican literary figures, such as Nobel Laureate Octavio Paz: respect for writers! I was grateful for, among other things, the sumptuous king-sized bed, the elegant rooftop terraces, the bedroom balcony, and the responsive and friendly hosts.

Our stay here was wonderful. The host was very responsive and helpful. The unit was perfect for a couple. The location was very nice and a short walk to the Centro and all the attractions of SMA. We would definitely stay here again.

Ines was a wonderful host. She always responded in a timely manner when I had questions. The airbnb was clean, and located minutes away from shopping and restaurants. Thank you for a wonderful experience in San Miguel.

I would stay there again, next time I'll book more days, the town, Oscar's place and especially his incredible terrace, I definitely recommend it.

We had a very pleasant weekend, the apartment had everything you need, very clean and tidy, much better than in the photos, the bed was very comfortable as well as the pillows. Its living room is quite spacious, we really enjoyed our stay 😃

Fabulous experience, cozy spot especially for a single traveler or couple. Amazing assistance from the staff regarding our logistics and answering all questions - helped us immensely coordinating various rides. Super centrally located. Very, very nice!

I really enjoyed my stay. Beautiful little unit with a wonderful patio and rooftop. The place had a lot of lovely unique details. Amazing views. Great for a solo traveler or couple. The location beautiful and quiet and for me was fairly walkable to most things of interest (and I’m not a fitness enthusiast). I would recommend and stay again.

Very nice subdivision, easy access. Very nice amenities and close to downtown and places nearby to walk and eat.

We didn’t want to leave!! This is definitely one of the best air bnbs I have ever stayed in. A beautiful, very spacious apartment in a very quiet beautiful neighborhood. We really enjoyed the two patios and the huge bathroom. As other people have mentioned, it is a steep hike back up from the center of town. We are lucky enough to not have mobility issues and enjoyed the challenge, but it is a challenge. However, it is very easy to get an uber or taxi, so don’t let that discourage you from staying here. We would absolutely stay again.

Yulia's place is modern clean and exceptionally taken care of by Carmen her house manager. As good or better than pictures. Very walkable to the plaza or park or City Market. 2 dollar ride to most places in city , abot 5 to farthest place you would go . Very clean and safe city lots to do. Is in a private enclave of 8 units very safe. Yulia is easy to reach. Enjoy

Great place to stay, I’m from San Miguel but my house is still under renovation. Have stayed a couple of times at his place and it’s super peaceful, great for me because I work from home, internet is fast. Also very short walking distance to main square, restaurants, bars, market, close to everything necessary.
