The location was convenient for walking into the little village of Cubjac with many surrounding towns within an hours drive. The kitchen had all of the amenities we needed which was perfect as we cooked most of our meals at the house. We also appreciated the charcoal grill. The property was absolutely stunning. We were in awe of the main house as we drove up the driveway. We enjoyed walking around the garden and on the trails in the surrounding woods. The bed was comfortable and the dining room, living room, and outdoor seating was perfect for 2 couples. The bathrooms were clean and the water pressure was good for showers. We did learn that you won’t get hot water if you try to shower while the dishwasher is running. 😂 Communication with Catherine and Maxence was great. They were always responsive and Maxence very insightfully helped us plan our itineraries for several day trips including markets, wineries, hikes, and gardens.

Favorite stay in this pretty house in the heart of the Périgord countryside. The accommodation is quiet, keeps cool despite the heat wave. The kitchen is very well equipped and we had all the childcare equipment for our baby. We were greeted with warmth and kindness, with plenty of good advice and good plums, it was a wonderful experience. The accommodation is about twenty minutes from the Tourtoirac cave, about forty minutes from Brantome and it is possible to swim in the nearby river (mini beach in Savignac in particular).
