Le Fournil at Le Clos du Comte was originally built as the bakehouse for the hamlet of Mas de Cause, about 2 km above the village of Daglan. It has now been tastefully renovated to create a characterful 2 bedroom cottage. It is within 20 km of the medieval town of Sarlat and all the major sights of the Dordogne, including the Vallée des Cinq Chateaux. At the end of a busy day, you can return to relax on the estate, which comprises 45 acres of unspoiled, utterly tranquil forest and pasture.

We are close to the most beautiful sites of the Dordogne Valley, Sarlat, Domme, Marqueyssac, La Roque Gageac and an hour from the most beautiful sites of the Lot, such as Rocamadour, the Padirac Chasm... Ideal for walking, mountain biking...

Whether you’re dining on your private shady terrace or taking in a dip in the 11m x 5m swimming pool (shared with the owners and open from June - September 09H00 – 20h00). The property is nestled on the edge of a small chateau estate and the owners are the only neighbours within view. Perfect for a romantic getaway!
