Absolutely loved staying here. If I am ever back in this area I will be staying here again. Don was so kind & was easy to communicate with. The place was cozy and in a great location.

Cabin 6 is a great place to stay. It's roomy, comfortable and clean. We really liked the nice touches, such as soaps, hot chocolate, etc. Don has a carbon monoxide detector in the cabin, which is nice, too. We look forward to staying there again. We enjoyed visiting with Don, also. Super experience.

Cabin 6 at Pepper Sauce Camp was spacious and comfy. Easy to find and you'll feel like your right at home! We had a fantastic view of the lake. We loved all the extras and really appreciated how kind and hospitable Don is. Will definately come back!

Absolutely love Pepper Sauce Camp!! It was my turn to take care of where we stayed this year on our trip back to Eagles Nest. I wanted and needed more space than we had on our last trip. Cabin 6 at Pepper Sauce Camp was perfect for us. It was spacious and comfy. We had a fantastic view of the lake. The kitchen was big enough for 3 of us to be in at the same time. We loved all the extras and really appreciated how kind and hospitable Don and his wife were.

Amazing stay and several mindful touches. You will feel like your at home when you stay here. The views are amazing! Management is on point and easy access to the highway.

The cabin is well maintained and really nice. Check in is incredibly easy and Don is really helpful. I had to check in late and he made sure to turn the heat on in advance and let me know where he was leaving the key. Overall my stay was great and Don was incredibly helpful

Awesome host, we screwed up the date and Timothy fixed it for us with no issues...we will be back to this place, king size comfy bed, nice large room, sparkling clean, nice view out our window, but what sold us is Timothy's extraordinary hospitality!

Eagles Nest is a wonderful place to visit and bed down for your nights stay after your done with your days events, whatever they may be. Its location is right in the middle of three different places, Angel Fire, Red River, and Taos. All of which of their own local draw but Eagles Nest lies in between all of them, which makes getting around so much easier for you and your family. Not to mention, that if go for the fishing, Timothy, from Eagles Nest Fly Shack can guide you to all of the local spots. Communication with Timothy was fantastic. We never had long to wait for a reply. Timothy's place was very comfortable and the amenities were plentiful. We look forward to the next time we will visit.

This is an excellent place to stay for snowboarding at Angel Fire or Taos. The rates can’t be touched by majority of places. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

Randy’s camper is a wonderful, cozy spot to stay if you’re spending some time in Taos. Randy himself is an exceptional host and goes above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay while also respecting the guest’s privacy. And on top of all that, his rates can’t be beat!

Randy was such a blessing to us on our trip! He immediately came out and introduced himself, and made sure that we got everything situated. He is loaded with local knowledge, and his recommendations were spot on! Most importantly, Randy and his family are as caring and friendly as they come. I managed to get my heavy truck STUCK stuck on his infamous driveway. He informed me that I now hold the record for being stuck the worst so far (for his sake, don't accept this as a challenge), but they went above and beyond (I feel like this is an understatement) to get me out. I will be forever grateful to his family for helping me out of a literal rough spot, and getting me back to enjoying our vacation. Our trip was amazing, and I have Randy to thank for making that happen. If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would! Go check out Randy's camper, and experience a blessing!

We had a great time hanging in the camper and hot tub. It was cold outside but it stayed nice and toasty inside! Randy was available whenever we needed. Thanks a bunch, Randy!

Hospitality, hospitality, hospitality. Randy went out of his way on more than one occasion to make my stay comfortable and smooth. He’s just a really kind person who seems to like hosting folks and ensuring their stay is great. Enjoying the hot tub as the snow came down at night was magical. A real steal of a place!

We only stayed about 10 hours (10pm - 8am) as we were heading to ski in the morning. Don was on top of all the communication, arranged for late check-in and early check-out and was just great. Place was clean and tidy. Everything went perfectly.

Don's place was the perfect resting point after a long day of skiing. Don was incredibly attentive to our needs. The view outside our of our patio was breathtaking. We were very cozy, warm, and happy. We look forward to staying there for our future trips.

We loved staying at the cabin. The fireplace and heaters kept the place warm and cozy. It’s in a great location near angel fire and red river. It is also within sight of Eagle Nest lake and we were able to walk there down the short lane by the camp.

Cabin looks exactly as pictured. Very easy access from the road, nice and quiet. We even took advantage of the laundry facilities. Would recommend.

Mark Twain once said, "Buy land. They're not making it anymore." So, for my birthday, my wife and I decided to rent a little slice of Eden in the foothills overlooking Eagles Nest, New Mexico. We only stayed two nights, but we managed to spend a number of idyllic hours on the wraparound porch viewing the changing clouds, the industrious gophers scurrying around the area, the herd of elk marching grandly up the various ridges above us, and the night time revelation of a Milky Way adorned with stars hidden from 90 percent of the rest of Earth. We also noticed the little touches provided by the owners: outhouse salt and pepper shakers labeled "Full of P" and "Full of S," a bathroom closet filled to the brim with cozy towels and hand clothes, binoculars and a field scope for more outdoor viewing, numerous home photographs of the owner's family fishing expeditions, and a wood stove centrally located in the living room that kept us toasty warm. There are other attributes too numerous to account for here, but just let us state that we have never been to a cabin or condo retreat that was as clean and well appointed as Sandra's place. We have been to three places in Eagles Nest and numerous accommodations in Dubois, Wyoming ; Bar Harbor, Maine; the Florida Keys; Anacortes, Washington; Annapolis, Maryland; and other vacation spots both within and outside of the USA. Not one location has superseded the weekend retreat we just experienced here. Will we return? Hell ya! Oh! Did I mention the trout I caught along the Cimarron River or the excellent lunch at the St. James Hotel? Or standing among the tombstones of America's fallen Vietnam warriors at the Angel Fire Vietnam Memorial site? Yes, we managed to squeeze in an amazing amount of memorable events in such a short time. Hell ya!

This rental is a great location and has perfect amenities for a group looking to basecamp to streams for trout fishing or for heading lake fishing. Hosts were very knowledgeable about spots to fish and quick to communicate about having a comfortable stay. We will return.

Wonderful space up in the mountains. Easy to find, even in the dark. The wood stove was delightful on a cold night. If you go into town, the brewery had awful service, but breakfast at the bakery was awesome

Timothy's place has several room types to choose from all with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. Location is the best to get in an around Eagle Lake, Angel Fire Resort, and Red River. Timothy will do his best to guide you to the many places to ski, sled, or try out your fishing at.

Michele's place is as described, a cute little house with a nice yard. We unfortunately cut our vacation short, but would absolutely stay here again when we redo our trip! Sitting out in the courtyard with our dog was relaxing, and the interior of the house was super cute. Michele left helpful instructions for getting around town, as well as some of her favorite places in Taos. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at Michele's casita. We had a nice visit with Michele after a day of skiing. The timing and location worked perfect for our trip. I did have to learn how to make french press coffee though! Maybe we can stay again next time we're in Taos.

This was a fantastic place. Cozy but well laid out. Very clean with a soft bed. The dogs loved the back yard. Great location and perfect place for a quick ski trip. We would definitely stay here again.

We were pleasantly surprised at how much bigger the camper was than we thought. Queen size bed in the bedroom with ample storage for clothes and a large closet. Bathroom was a nice size with stand up shower separate from toilet and sink=hair dryer was a nice bonus! Large living space with TV, electric fireplace and a couple of floor heaters to keep warm. We did not have any issues with being cold. The kitchen has a full size fridge, toaster, gas range and stove which worked perfectly for our pancake breakfasts. Although the wind blew quite heavily at night, the camper stayed strong and just swayed a little (as expected). We would stay here again!

Joe’s places was great! It was only 5 minutes away from the lifts at Angel Fire Resort. Important thing to note is that it stayed really warm at night even as the weather approached 0 degrees. This place is an amazing value. I would stay here again!

Finding it on a last minute during a very busy week this place turned out to be the perfect place to stay. It was incredibly cozy. Timothy’s communication was exceptional. Most importantly the kids really liked the place as they did get access to Netflix and the living room was pretty ‘spacey’ for them 3. I will definitely stay here again.

We had the best stay with our two pups! We visit Red River usually 2/3 times a year. This was a last minute trip and we were lucky enough to find this gem. Red River was having quite the epic snow storm while we were there. We lost power one night for awhile and our lovely hosts brought us more firewood and fire starters to keep us warm. The music playing when we arrived and yummy pound cake was also super sweet! Another thing to mention is that the beds upstairs are SUPER comfortable. You don’t always find that with Airbnb’s. Nice bonus. We look forward to staying here again and being able to enjoy the deck! The view was stunning. Thanks again for everything!!

We stayed at The Cottage the 5 days leading up to Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. The place was exactly as described and the river was mere feet from the back door of the cabin. The cabin is just far away from town to feel like you’re in a remote location in the mountains yet close enough to get to town in less than 10 minutes. Our kids were able to play in the snow, sled down the driveway, make s’mores in the fire pit and watch a couple of families of deer roam the property daily. Carlos was an awesome host and made sure we were taken care of the whole time we were there. We would love to go back and stay again, especially during the fall to watch the Aspens change color. What a memorable trip we had!!

Great little cottage. Fit our family of five well. Relaxing and lovely spot to unplug. Stocked with plenty of kitchen, outdoor, and bath amenities. One note is the 2 twin beds downstairs are much narrower than a regular twin. Was fine for our teens but would be hard for a large adult. Loved our stay!

If I could give more than 5-stars for Value & Hospitality, I would! Fab is such a wonderful host and the value of this place compared to others in Taos is outstanding. It’s located right in between Taos and the Ski Valley making it really convenient for outdoor activities plus eating/shopping. Rooms are more than spacious and although the 6 rooms share 3 bathrooms we never experienced an issue with having to wait. The complimentary breakfast and coffee every morning was an unexpected treat! This is a true Southwestern B&B experience and we will definitely be back!

Relaxing, quiet location, close to Taos and Taos Ski Valley. My wife enjoyed exploring Arroyo Seco while I skied. We met interesting guests (I ended up skiing with one of them) at the Airbnb, and Christine provided good suggestions for nearby restaurants.

Christine’s place is in a great location to the ski Mtn. She had all the necessary amenities and was great host.

This is the perfect place for a budget Taos ski trip. The location is 10 minutes closer than the town of taos so you can get a head start. Very clean and enjoyable visit.

Beth & John's studio in Taos Ski Valley is wonderful. It is cozy and in a great location. It's a very short walk to the lifts and various restaurants (about 2 minutes to the center of everything). The studio was clean and just as advertised. We had great communication with the hosts who went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay.

Lovely condo at the base of the mountain. Extremely considerate and hospitable hosts. Very clean, quiet and safe accommodations. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom and room. The service we received was excellent and the views were spectacular. Our recommendation for Beth & John’s condo at The Powderhorn is higher than the mountain. We really enjoyed our stay. It was great!

Great stay and convenient to town/skiing

If you’re skiing in this area of NM, this is the perfect spot to stay. It has beautiful views, amazing complementary breakfast, really close to the slopes, and affordable on our college kid budget. I definitely intend to stay with Fab and Christina again next time I’m in the area.

We stayed at John's place when all of this weird Covid-19 stuff started going down. We decided to cut our trip short since the ski valley closed down while we were there. John was incredibly understanding and kind during our whole experience. Aside from the Covid-19 situation, the house was just as described and having John around to chat with and to ask questions about local places to check out was super helpful. If anyone is worried about staying in a house with the host there, don't worry about it! John was incredibly considerate and accomodating. The hot tub was a huge plus as well!

John's place was great to crash at (and even get some work done - I had to work remotely for a part of a day) for a stay in Taos. John is remarkably kind and a great host. Due to traffic coming down from Denver, I was a bit later than anticipated. He gave a great recommendation for where to eat in town and stayed up to show me around, which I was grateful for. John's place is a little south of center of town, about a 5-minute drive. It's nice and quiet though, which is great! Thanks John.

There's really nothing to add to John's already stellar reviews. If you are okay with sharing a bathroom and kitchen, John's place will be great for you. On my stay of seven days, John was away on a trip for the first four days. Entry into his house was very easy. John is a great communicator and a very pleasant and easy-going host. I did not utilize (as so many others have) any of his knowledge of the area or recommendations for things to do, as I was just there to ski for a week so my dance card was full. The skiing at Taos is great and unique, if you haven't experienced it and if you are a proficient enough skier to enjoy it. Highly recommend the "Taos Ski Week," if you're going to Taos to ski--awesome experience!

John has a very lovely spot in Taos, with beautiful views of the mountains and plains from the hot tub. We'll be back, it's just a matter of time!

John has been a great host. He has made me feel like home. It has been my first experience in Airbnb and it has been beyond awesome. I highly recommend John if you want to visit Taos or skiing at Taos Ski Valley.

Walking distance to town. This room is about the size of a hotel room but adds the benefit of a stove. Easy access with a keypad lock. I might suggest bringing your own pillow if you prefer a firm pillow. Great for a quick ski trip!

Well-located in the heart of downtown Taos, I highly recommend a stay here. It was welcoming, clean, and well-maintained with all the amenities one could hope for (including the most comfortable bed ever) in a cozy, romantic, getaway.

Our stay was perfect! The place was the perfect launching pad for both exploring town and skiing at Taos. The ski area is only 30 minutes driving and town is walking distance. We were able to explore the plaza and hit up some museums without driving, which is always an added bonus. The place is super cozy and stylish and the perfect size for 2 people. Loved being able to have a fire!

The casita is such a lovely and cozy space. It has so many special touches, including the traditional kiva fireplace, the fully-equipped and colorful kitchen, the beautiful exposed-wood beam ceiling, and the wonderfully comfortable bed. And on top of that, the location truly can’t be beat. I walked & wandered all thru the historic district every day I was there, grabbing coffee down the street, dipping into countless art galleries and finding so much amazing food within a couple blocks. I also snowboarded one day and the resort was an easy and scenic 20 minutes away. Hugo was very friendly with his messages and thorough with his check-in process, as well as with their guestbook, which has some great restaurant tips. I really hope to come back soon!

The condo is beautifully decorated and makes for a cozy stay for one or two people. Check-in is a breeze with Hugo and Jessica providing detailed information you need to make yourself at home. The location is also great - easy walking distance to a number of restaurants, bars, and galleries. Highly recommend.

The RV was wonderful! Clean and had all of the things that we needed.

We loved the camper experience! The kids were asking if we can get one, and they cried when we had to leave 😂. Great fun for our family!

We stayed 2 nights here in January. The trailer was very clean and well-stocked. We had a small problem with the TV but the host fixed it right away. We especially appreciated the dog-friendly atmosphere. There was plenty of hot water for a shower if you were careful.

This is definitely the best place to stay on a budget, had a great ski trip! Hopefully I'll be staying here again next year for another great time or skiing!

We had a great stay at this RV, it perfectly met our needs. The first night we had some issue with the electrical power. Joe was incredibly responsive, came over in person and fixed the problem. He checked multiple times with us afterwards to make sure that everything was working. He also let us stay a few hours beyond the regular check-out time which we appreciated greatly. The sofa-bed is not the most comfy (as expected) . With the many extra comforters and blankets available, we were able to smooth out the center hump. We ran out of hot water in the shower one night - not a big deal, just something to be mindful of. Once we remembered we were actually "camping", we watched our hot water consumption and had no issue. Lastly, not a criticism, just a note for fellow travelers - many rentals like this have some basic kitchen ingredients (such as salt and pepper) remaining in the kitchen from previous travelers. The only thing left in the RV kitchen was cooking oil, so consider bringing a basic camping kitchen set of ingredients. We used the RV as base-camp for an elk hunt, and I would definitely go back!

All in all, this was a most enjoyable stay. I particularly appreciated Alice’s easy-going flexibility in accommodating my schedule, and her thoughtfulness in making coffee. This room is most appropriate for people who enjoy being around dogs and cats. That just made me feel more at home.

We decided to go skiing in Taos last minute. We came down from denver. Easy to find. Easy to get in (we arrived at 1am). She made us coffee in the morning. Linens were clean and the shower felt great. Perfect for a place to crash for a night. We slept like rocks.

Lovely stay & great location in Taos!

Overall a great place to stay in Red River! The host checked in on our way in and before we left to make sure everything went well. They left the lights on for us and the room key inside since we expected a late arrival and it was a thoughtful touch.

We didn’t make it to our room until about 7:30pm. Mari was more than accommodating and had our door unlocked, the windows open for a nice cool breeze to come through and had some soft music playing. It was so inviting and comfortable. The property is beautiful and our room was very neat and clean. We were exhausting from traveling and I have to add that the bed was amazing, especially after our adventurous day! The mattress was so comfortable and the sheets were crisp and clean! We slept like babies....we’ll be back for sure!!

What a Jewel find in Red River especially if you travel with a dog! Great staff , country type hospitality , and not a better location for a summer stay! Had coupons for eating and tips for activities! Will be returning in near future! Tom

Very Clean, easy access to sky valley and Taos area, there is a great hiking trail just behind the cabin.

The cabin was a fantastic getaway for my family (2 dogs and a husband) and I for the 4th of July. Being up in the ski valley and near the national forest was fantastic because no scary fireworks for the the dogs. Even though the cabin is right off the road, and has 2 close neighbors, it was super quiet and peaceful -- close to lots of trails, away from the town, and had everything we needed (microwave, toaster, coffee pot, oven, stove, room service(!)). I'd definitely recommend it for a quiet summer getaway.

Awesome cabin! A bit far from Angel Fire as it's on the other side of the mountain (we did the bike park there). The cabin itself is terrific and we had a blast. The patio gives view to thousands of pine trees and is picturest, we almost thought it was surreal. Will come again!!

Lovely little cabin tucked away on a hill in a great location only 1.5 miles from Taos Ski Mountain. If you prefer something more secluded and quiet rather than a hotel or lodge, this is the place for you. I highly recommend.

A beautiful little cabin set back from the street and just minutes away from the lifts. Everything we needed to relax after a great day on the slopes. There is a lovely hiking trail very nearby and treed space out back that our dog really enjoyed. Loved it. Thanks again!

Loved staying at Justin’s place! The space was styled beautifully, it had a lovely ambience and aroma, and the sheets were extra soft. He even gave us a well thought out list of things to do in the area.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! Had to take a picture of the sheets to order some myself because that bed was so comfy. Major fan of the hammock!! The entire place was so creative and artistic looking!

What a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle. The Casita was beautifully decorated and cozy. Justin made us feel so welcome and cared for. The bed is very comfortable with amazingly soft sheets and cozy bedding. We loved sipping wine on the front patio and swinging in the hammock while listening to the birds in the trees. We enjoyed a lovely and meaningful tea ceremony with Jade, and all the recommended hikes and restaurants were great. We especially loved the Love Apple and Chokola. We were not able to go to the Pueblo because it was closed for religious ceremonies until April, but overall we had a memorable and restful stay and would love to come back.

A charming, cozy sanctuary in a storied space, Justin et al have thought of it all. The effect is artful, warm, infused with good energy. We appreciated the provided yoga mats and thoughtful gift of wine. The bed linens are a dream. Justin is a gracious, communicative host. Thank you.

Located just 2 miles out of town but felt very secluded. The space itself was beautiful and felt like home. Very relaxing. If you’re on the edge, book it, you won’t regret it.

The apartment is steps away from the slopes. Cozy unit has practical kitchen stocked with all the equipment I needed. Sara was super accommodating to my needs, including working with me to find a place to stash my luggage while snowboarding. Excellent host and unit, would definitely stay again!

It is as advertised, an adventurers paradise! Close to the lake, two ski resorts within 30 minutes. Priced well in compared to other locations in the area.

A great place to stay, and a great value! Twenty minutes to both Angel Fire and Red River. Eagle nest is in a beautiful, quiet valley, and we had a very peaceful stay. Communication is great, and the room itself provides pretty much everything you need for a nice stay.

The pictures don't do the home justice. It is much bigger than we had anticipated and views we're simply amazing. We brought stuff to cook as we thought we might need and they had everything. My family enjoyed new experiences and skied Angel Fire that was only 20 min away. Beautiful home and everything was spot on

This eco dwelling was perfect for a short getaway for my small family. My husband, dog and I stayed for three nights in the charming little home and have ZERO complaints. The floor heaters were a wonderful touch, the hot tub after skiing was amazing, the meditation hut was perfect for some self reflection, the river flowing right next to the house was so serene. The bed was super comfy, the showers and bathrooms were spotless and the hosts were so sweet and helpful with recommendations. We will be back as soon as possible!

My husband and I stayed 3 nights here and we LOVED it! Easily one of the most unique properties we have stayed in. The historic adobe architecture is amazing, super quiet and cozy during cold nights. We cooked a lot of meals there and felt like a queen and king in the epic dining room. The view of the mountains, the incredible stars, and the proximity to town make it an ideal location. Chris is a very thoughtful, detail oriented host. He gave great recommendations and always responded quickly. Don't pass this place up!!

Chris's place is nothing short of awesome! So quiet and private you feel like you're miles away from everything. But your only a few minutes to town and under a half hour to the mountain! Many thoughtful touches, super well appointed space and great communication. Our room was already warm upon arrival and kept us cozy our entire trip. We would definitely stay here again!
