Oh, that was balm for the soul. We had a wonderful stay. Thilo gave us a few tips for hiking, which we actually didn't use, because there was so much nature to see and experience right on the doorstep. And also in the apartment we felt very comfortable. The apartment is beautiful and furnished with love. Thilo explained everything to us wonderfully and the arrangement worked very well. Even my dog, who is an absolute fear rabbit, immediately felt comfortable and welcome! Thank you

As previously agreed, we were welcomed very friendly and together we did an exploration of the apartment with instruction. The apartment was very clean, the equipment above average and the hosts including the dog very friendly! We would be happy to come back and recommend the accommodation.

We felt very comfortable in the accommodation of Andrea and Thilo! If you want to take a relaxing break in nature, this is the place for you. In keeping with the surroundings, the apartment is rustic, very cozy and furnished with great attention to detail. The highlight is the stove, whose crackling fire can be viewed in the rocking chair. After eventful days, we looked forward to our cozy accommodation in the evening. Andreas and Thilo were very nice and provided us with maps and tips for the area. Everything is easy to reach by car, shops are available and if you get hungry in the evening, we can highly recommend the Landgasthaus Zirkelstein. Reachable on foot in 15 minutes (pay attention to the opening times, hot food until 7:30 p.m.). We did 2 day trips that we liked: (1): - By car to the ferry station in Oberrathen (large parking lot available) - Translate with the ferry - Start the tour to the Bastei bridge over the Schwedelöcher (nicer than the way back) - Admire Bastei bridge & enjoy food in the panoramic restaurant - way back over the Bastei bridge (Rathen is signposted) - The hiking route includes beautiful routes through the forest, past rock formations and offers a great view of the gorge (when you get to the top, take the pavilion viewpoint with you) (2) - Starting point: Schmilka ferry station at the stop - Cross over to Schmilka by ferry - Many hiking routes start here. - Route to the great winter mountain. Goal: Kipphorn view (great viewpoint, it is worth the climb). The way back to Schmilka was marked. - In Schmilka there is an organic bakery and huge pieces of cake. Perfect for a break after a long tour. Both routes are great to master and do not require any professional expertise. Of course we got a little sweaty anyway. We really enjoyed our weekend here, we would love to come back.

We spent a few nice days in this cozy apartment and were able to relax very well and enjoy the silence. A small cozy place, far from the hustle and bustle. The apartment has its charm due to the well thought-out, practical and aesthetic furnishings with great attention to detail. You arrive and have everything you need and are well advised by the host. Very nice everything!

Andrea and Thilo have created a really very charming and quaint accommodation for themselves and their guests, which is equipped with everything you need ... we didn't miss anything and felt welcome and very comfortable. In addition to our fresh air adventures in the beautiful area (hiking, climbing, experiencing culture), we were able to relax wonderfully by the stove in the evening. With all the trimmings, it was just the right little everyday time-out that we needed and relaxed back home.

Cozy and beautiful place with the best location, close to the trekking routes and the town center. Perfect to spend a couple of relaxing days discovering the sourrounding landscape and mountains. Everything was amazing. Clean, comfortable. Very tasty breakfast. Tatyana is a wonderful, hospitable hostess. The only thing I would like to say if you are not in a car, then pay attention, the road to the house with a fairly steep climb, I would not advise with a suitcase. Check the bus schedule or ask you to meet at the station.

Tatiana and Willi are great hosts .. we really enjoyed the stay there ! They served such great breakfasts as well and told us many stories along the way :)

Cozy wooden house, friendly owners, knowledgeable sights. It is especially suitable if you do not speak German or English - Tatyana is from Moscow, but has been living in Germany for many years.

The accommodation was very clean and everything worked. The communication in advance went smoothly. The rooms were nicely decorated. The hosts were very friendly, communicative and sociable. We made a stop there from the Malerweg to go to the thermal baths in Bad Schandau.

Plan to go to Saxon Switzerland National Park? This is a worthwhile stay option! Great location (need to hike a hill to reach), beautifully furnished and sparkling clean wooden housing giving the pure European feel... and the delicious breakfast in the morning! It is worth a visit if you have enough time to explore the surroundings!

Very good place to stay.

Super clean rooms in the house of the very friendly hosts. The location is very easy to reach by car and an ideal starting point for hikes in the area.

We were very satisfied. It was our first stay in a room in the house of the landlord. Willi and Tatjana are very nice and warm hosts. Some guests have already reported about Willi's need for communication =)

Accommodation was as described, we were fully satisfied. You can already see in the photos where and how the bungalow is located, so we felt comfortable there. Incidentally, the WiFi went great, also due to the great nature and the drawer full of information about the surroundings not absolutely necessary ;-)

We had a perfect stay! The bungalow is very clean, well equiped and in a very quiet location. We had everything we needed, the check-in and check-out process is very convenient and we also had our own parking space. Definitely recommended!!!

We had a great time at Azamat’s place. Location is awesome with a nice view. The place is clean and comfortable and has almost everything you could need. Would absolutely recommend to stay there!

What we loved: The photos did what they promised, the decor was very good and everything was very clean. Unfortunately, the private parking was occupied next to the bungalow. Instead, we then parked as described directly on the Ostrava mountain. We are happy to recommend the accommodation!

The accommodation was wonderful. The view and the location are super good. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need. There was even coffee. The bungalow was a bit cool at first, but with the small electric heater that was quickly resolved. Also you should not be misled by the sign with the number 3. Just go past it, then you come directly to the fish bungalow. We are only in the 3 inflected and were a bit baffled. But there is someone on the first call and took us right away helped. The bed is very very soft. Who has back problems will certainly not be able to sleep so well. For 3 nights it was okay for us. We were very satisfied.

A nice place under construction. For the price, the performance was great! It was a little cold, as the room was far from the stove. The hosts are very welcoming and it was a nice experience. The house is a bit hidden, if you are on foot is missing a part of the sidewalk to walk on a very busy road, by car it is easy to reach.

A beautiful house, a spacious room and a fantastic host!

Two wonderful days in Czech Switzerland! I felt 20 years back in a time that was much more authentic and relaxed than time today. The accommodation is perfect for people who just want to go hiking. Jarka is super friendly and has some tips ready. Everything is within walking distance of the accommodation, in the village there are several restaurants and a grocery store. The observation tower is about 3 km from the property and offers a perfect view of the landscape. We will be back definitely!

It is a nice place to stay and very friendly hosts. Everything was great only with a size of 2 meters you have the typical problems. The beds were also comfortable and the city was about 20 minutes needed. The view was wonderful. We had a very nice time.

We really liked our stay at this place. It's not a big room but everything we needed was present and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. You also have a nice view on the Elbe and there is a lovely terrace to have breakfast.

My first experience with Air BnB - and I could not have done better! Thomas and Carla are two very nice and hospitable hosts and give helpful tips for hiking in the Saxon Switzerland! The accommodation offers everything you need as a hiker. Especially nice is that you only have to open the door to get started directly. The location of the Air BnB is just perfect. I had a very good time and will definitely come back.

Everything was wonderful! Super clean, lovely on the inside and very homey and comfortable. She even had a drawer full of children's toys that our two year old could play with. Would highly recommend! :)

The accommodation corresponds exactly to the descriptions. Everything is there what you need. Kitchen fully equipped. Beds very comfortable. Quiet location. We stayed a week in Silvia's apartment, and there was nothing missing. Great features with attention to detail. On the terrace you can enjoy the sundowner and end the evening after extensive tours.

The apartment is located on a hill with a wonderful view of the Schrammsteine. In the own corner in the garden one can experience beautiful sunsets. In the nearby swimming pool in Goßdorf we spent relaxed holidays - definitely try the Currywurst with chips! The hikes in Kirnitztal (Schrammsteine, Affensteine, Kuhstall) and the excursion to the Herkulesfelsen were awesome. Also the via ferrata - Häntschelstiege - is highly recommended. We felt very comfortable in Rathmannsdorf and Renate and her husband were friendly and very helpful hosts.

Absolutely perfect stay! Tatiana and Willi are a sweet and lovely couple, owners and creators of the beautiful house in the wild Ostrau. The self-made garden is awesome and Tatiana explained us about every little flower. Breakfast is prepared by them and we could stay stomach - satisfied for lots of hours. If you are looking for a magic place in the forest, with easy access to trekking, this is the perfect place; if you are looking for a small village with easy access to supermarkets and shops, this is not the place. We will never forget how Tatiana and Willi made up a dinner for us within 5 min, after we couldn't find any food in the evening! The trail to the Schrammsteine trekking is reachable within 10 min by feet and, in my opinion, it is worth more than Bastei Brücke. Thanks for all!!

Perfect hosts, super friendly, right beside the start of the Schrammersteine walk and many more. Extremely clean and cosy apartment. The local bus drops you right near the house aswell which you can take from the train station. Otherwise you can take the ferry and then the lift (great views!).

Tatiana’s accommodation in Ostrau is very clean and has great amenities like a full kitchen and bathroom. Ostrau is beautiful just above Bad Schandau, and close to a lot of the hiking trails for Saxon Switzerland. If you are just going to Bad Schandau I would recommend staying there to avoid the walk up the hill, but we enjoyed the scenic walk when the lift was closed and the views Ostrau has to offer. We were also very warmly welcomed and acquainted to the apartment, thank you!

Tatiana's place was great, perfect, but what really sealed the deal for us loving it was to see how much they (her and her husband) care about people. My dad lost is passport and they did everything they could to help locate it and get it back to us safely. Outstanding individuals!

Very nice and comfy flat! Though the kitchen space for cooking prepare is minimal, it's very well equipped with pans, dishwear, cutlery and everything one needs for cooking. Great bedroom with a very comfortable bed, the bathroom is also great. Cozy winter garden, unfortunately could not enjoy the terrace due the rainy days... Anyway, l had a great time in the apart as well as in the charming Bad Schandau and surroundings!

Radek and Tereza are very nice hosts, they kindly helped us to find the way (it‘s a little bit hidden). Radek heated the cabin for us so it was very cozy when we arrived. The cabin is very beautiful and clean. There is everything you need (fridge, toaster, little oven, kettle). It is in the middle of the national park and hiking area. We highly recommand to stay there.

Unique and cozy place, you get your own little hut with a wood-stove for heating and nicely separated sleeping spots / one double bed. Radek's hiking tips were also spot-on.

Beautiful place in the heart of nature. The stove was already molten on our arrival and burst happily. What else could you wish for... :)

A very magical, warm place, beautiful surroundings and warm landlords!

The cabin is, as described, located in a quite village surrounded by nature and fabulous hiking routes. When we arrived in the cabin (in winter), it was already preheated and enough firewood was provided to keep the furnace running. We had a great time and consider to come back in spring!

Everything exactly as described in the ad. If you can handle it, it is unbeatable, the terrace and the Elbblick are unbeatable. Communication and everything around it fast and uncomplicated. Lovely again!

As described, it is a very simple and Spartan, but for undemanding hikers completely adequate accommodation. :) What I do not think is mentioned in the description: There is also a single hotplate, a kettle, a toaster and a fridge. So the kitchen equipment was even better than we expected. :) Only the mattresses are really not that great. But for two nights anyway ok. Thomas received us very nice and is always happy to have a chat. It was also great that we were able to hike from the location despite our relatively late arrival in the afternoon on the first evening directly from there for a round to the Schrammsteinen, a highlight of the region. We like to come again.

In the apartment everything is available, what you need and also as shown in the pictures. We liked it and we felt comfortable.

We stayed for the second time in the apartment and again very satisfied. During our stay a repeater for the W-Lan was installed, so that now in the entire apartment has good and fast Internet. We like to come back.

We had a very nice stay in Heike's attic apartment. The kitchen was well equipped, so we cooked there every night. Also the bathroom was nice and bright. Ideal for 4 people.

We had a great stay in a very well equipped apartment. Cycling and climbing routes are in the immediate vicinity. Likewise the ferry connection to Bad Schandau. Highly recommended!

Very nice accommodation. Everything went smoothly. There were hiking maps and brochures. We were welcomed with a bottle of red wine, water and juice and a large bowl of walnuts. In the kitchen salt, pepper, flour, sugar, coffee and various teas were even available. Dishwasher tabs were there. In the bathroom there was detergent for the washing machine. All in all a very cozy place to stay.

The beautiful, with great attention to detail furnished and freshly renovated old style apartment, we can only recommend. It is cozy and spacious at the same time, the balcony sunny and sheltered from the sun (breakfast in April was included!). From cribs we had every opportunity to explore the surrounding area - also thanks to the good hiking maps and current brochures that Anne and Albrecht provided us. On requests and special requests the hosts responded quickly and responsive. Actually, we would have loved to stay there. Helps only one thing: come back! :-)

A perfectly equipped accommodation where nothing is missing. From the Christmas decorated home we have arrived in a cozy, stylishly decorated Christmas accommodation, so that you could feel right at home. We have been here with baby and those who travel with baby know that the best thing to do is to rent a minibus to accommodate all the stuff for the child. But not here. The accommodation is so child-friendly, you can hardly believe it: baby bed, changing table, potty, high chair, cutlery, dishes - everything you need. Simply wonderful

Pleasant, spacious and clean accommodation, easy and friendly communication and straightforward check-in. The equipment left nothing to be desired. The location of the property is ideal for a variety of excursions and hikes in the Saxon Switzerland. A car or bike is recommended for independent supply, because the nearest supermarket is a bit removed and only bread and sausage / meat can be bought on the spot.

Super cute and winding house which was furnished with a lot of love. In the kitchen everything was there what you need, even a baking pan, in case one craves cakes. In the garden you could spend pleasant evenings and listen to the sound of the stream! Everything was very clean and there was also a small selection of games and books for bad weather days.

Maik his house is located in a very quiet street. Wonderful to sleep in. Nevertheless, by the good Anbingung with the ferry central. The house is fully equipped, very clean and with its own charm. A beautiful well-kept game garden is one of them, many blunts and herbs. On-site is the mother she manages everything. Great, super nice and helpful. Great, with coffee in the garden a little chat, who likes. Again and again I would recommend it.

A great place in the middle of nature.

The castle Schöna is fantastically located, on the one hand quiet and on the other hand centrally as a starting point for hikes in the Elbsandsteingebirge. The terrace overlooks the Elbe and the wooded hills. The accommodation is very clean and tastefully decorated. The large communal kitchen is perfectly equipped. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, so we had a few wonderful and relaxing days. We are happy to come back and highly recommend the accommodation.

Beautiful place, super clean and very comfortable. Location is convenient for hiking, as there is a look-out spot right on the property, access to the Malerweg, and access to the pedestrian ferry to get to the national park across the river. The guesthouse is situated near a train track but the "white noise" it produced was barely audible through the well-insulated windows. It was a beautiful place to visit in autumn and we would love to come back in springtime!

Stop thinking, and just book it. You will thank yourself as soon as you step into this beautifully restored guest house. Impeccably clean and very quiet. The views overlooking the Elbe river and rocky cliffs across the way make for a very picturesque setting. Hiking and climbing abound in this region, but if it's some rest and relaxation you're looking for, this is it. Less than a mile from the train station. There was quite a language barrier between myself and the host, but he was incredibly helpful and shared points of interest and things to do during my short stay. Looking forward to returning for a longer stay in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay, the beds had great comfortable mattresses, it was very quiet; The Kirnitzschtalbahn was not audible, the kitchen was well equipped except for the missing oven. We particularly enjoyed the opportunity to use the fire bowl down by the river. For unloading, we parked in front of the house in a small parking bay and otherwise in the parallel street. There was always a parking space there. Our concern that the bungalow might be too cold was completely unfounded. The oil radiator and the underfloor heating always ensured comfortable temperatures. We will come back in any case.

A great little house with everything you need

The bungalow is very cozy and great on a slope, surrounded by greenery, located. Especially nice is the terrace with barbecue and fire pit on the water!

The bungalow is in a great location. Despite street proximity there are no disturbing noises .... only nature. The check-in was uncomplicated and completely according to the needs of the guest. In a small space you will find everything you need in the living room. We'll be back!

Wonderful, fully furnished apartment with everything you need. Very clean and new furniture. Very good location in the Bad Schandauer Kurpark with a balcony overlooking the small stream. Good starting point for hikes in the Saxon Switzerland. The bus stop and the Kirnitzschtalbahn stop are only 200 meters away. Shops can be found in the village (even on Sundays). It is really nicely decorated, wonderful atmosphere and grandiose surroundings. the attic is not insulated and can get really fresh in winter - that's why a sleeping bag and hat for the face. There are also blankets for warming. We would love to come back - highly recommended !!

Very well developed barn, which is super clean and inviting! For the cold season, blankets were ready and even had a heater. We'll be back!

Very nice rustic accommodation right on Malerweg. The common room is quite comfortable, toilet and shower is outside. A few "emergency" foods and drinks are available for fair prices.

A brilliantly simple and very comfortable place to stay for a big group of hikers, like ourselves, who were staying just one night. The house affords plenty of comfort for basic sleeping and a kitchen and living room that come filled with basics provisions such as food and drink. A great stay on our hike on the Malerweg, we would come again.

The accommodation is in Silke's house and had everything necessary and was super clean. The view is really great and you can start walking without using the car. For the next supermarket you drive a piece, but you can cook great in the accommodation and make yourself comfortable. Very comfortable bed!

The accommodation is even more beautiful than in the pictures. Everything is there, what you need and we felt very comfortable from the minute one. The location is great, restaurants are 5 minutes walk away. You can also go hiking directly from the accommodation. All in all, this apartment is only recommended.

We felt very comfortable in the apartment. It is very stylishly furnished and equipped with every comfort. The special feature is a wall heating, which produces a uniformly supple heat and which can be adjusted by a regulator next to the refrigerator. Bastion, Elbe and shops are within easy walking distance. We like to come back.

The apartment of Silke is just a dream. It is not only perfectly equipped, but also very tastefully decorated and designed. This is a place where you just have to feel good. We came to Silke for 3 nights with friends to see the reserve. Pleased with absolutely everything - from hospitality to cleanliness. In all respects, this is the best we could find for ourselves in Rathen. Large balcony with gorgeous mountain views. There are board games in the house that can brighten up your evenings. All furniture and appliances are in perfect condition. In walking distance from all trails of the reserve, shop and promenade. Thank you very much!

Lovely cosy apartment perfect for basing yourself for hiking in the national Park. Great amenities and a friendly host.

We were very happy with everything! Clean, uncomplicated, friendly communication, very well equipped and ideally located for walks. We hiked one day directly to the Schrammsteinen and the next day on the Flößersteig to the cowshed. Great tours that start right on your doorstep !! And the nearest restaurants in town are not far in the evening on foot.

The apartment is very quiet on a north-facing slope (perfect in summer, during the transitional period, lightly-frozen contemporaries may even put on a thicker sweater) and has a parking lot right by the house. The equipment of the apartment is very good (including dishwasher and VERY much dishes / glasses). The quality and performance of the free wireless internet was perfect The beautiful walk to the center is about 1 km long and goes through the spa / city park. The check-in was very easy with clear explanations and was as the contact in advance very pleasant. All in all, my wife and I had a wonderful vacation that we will remember fondly.

Very well equipped apartment with large living room with covered balcony. The bed is a good size and has two mattresses. Kitchen has a lot of accessories, which we did not use, as you have plenty of opportunity in the village to eat. The location is great as a base for hiking.

It is wonderful to eat on the balcony with view into the woods. Very central location and only short distances to great hikes such as the Bastei, the Schrammsteinen or in the wild hell.

We spent two great weeks in Heike's villa. The apartment is very conveniently located for walking and in the village it is not far. We left the car almost all the time. The stay with Anna in the Saxon Switzerland was excellent! Anna's parents are very nice and had lots of tips for us. They even came to pick us up at the local train station. The "wooden hut" was very clean and left nothing to be desired. In addition, you could immediately start walking in all directions. The location was really perfect. The accommodation is beautifully situated in the valley of the Kirnitzsch. You will find everything you need to live there. One has to do without such a bauble as WLAN and that's a good thing - after all, you're on vacation. At the apartment you can directly hikes in the nearby hiking and climbing area undertake or with the footpath very easily accessible Kirnitzschtalbahn to the station suitable for the trip drive. We can recommend a weekly ticket, with which you can, for example, also reach by public transport to the Bastion in Rathen. All in all, we felt very comfortable in the cozy hut. It was very clean and the location is just great.

With this accommodation we had the perfect starting point for our hiking holiday in the Saxon Switzerland. For two we had enough space, the small hut is comfortably furnished and offers everything you need to cater for yourself. We also used the barbecue on a relaxed evening on the terrace. The location is slightly out of town, but which can be reached on foot or by bus / tram without any problems. Anna's parents gave us a warm welcome with lots of tips about the region. We'll be back!

We spent one week in Anna´s house. We had a great time in Bad Schandau. Many possibilities for hiking. The house is just near the Kirnitschtahlbahn, the local railway which takes you to the hiking routes. The house is just wonderful and comfortable for a couple. Communication with Anna and her family was great. We warmly recommend this place.

Very idyllic wooden hut in the best (nature) location right on the Kirnitzsch with enough space for 2 people to cook, eat and sit together comfortably ... and the outdoor area is very nicely decorated. The hosts (in our case Anna's parents) were very friendly and provided us with all kinds of things to make the holiday more enjoyable (hiking maps, bicycle, barbecue, fire bowl etc.). Conclusion: absolutely recommendable!

We found the small wooden bungalow quite comfortable and you can sit outside in the summer. Everything was there what we needed. We bought a weekly ticket for public transport for 17.90 € per person and came so well everywhere (by ferry, S-Bahn to Wehlen and Schmilka, bus and Kirnitzschtalbahn). Just around the corner (!) Is a lovingly maintained botanical garden. The Elbsandsteingebirge simply has so many beautiful corners and is so wonderfully varied! We went there after the holiday there better than before :-)) For the arrival we were very happy about the possibility of picking up from the train station for 5 €, that was super-practical! The center is about 1.5 km away and you will find bakery, tourist information and a supermarket, which is also open on Sundays. We'll come back sometime!

Roberto's accommodation is the ideal starting point for trips to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains! Great things can be done on foot from the large and very clean apartment. As already mentioned by others, the train is quite loud, but that was not a problem for us at all. You can park in front of the door without any problems and communication with Roberto or Maxi (on site) runs flawlessly.

A great apartment 10 minutes from the center of Koenigstein. It is very quiet and offers everything you need.

Roberto's attic apartment is in a great location, with direct access to the center, train, Elbe and road network. From there you can really get everything your heart desires and to the fortress it is only max. 5-10 min drive or 40min ascent to the castle. The spacious apartment is sparkling clean and equipped with everything you need and also the fast communication with Roberto and his sister, who had represented him on site, was very personable and accommodating. The price-performance ratio is really unbeatable. We felt more than comfortable and recommend this property.

A centrally located modern equipped apartment, which is only separated from the train tracks directly on the Elbe. In five minutes you are on the banks of the Elbe and the train station is also just 5 minutes away. From the living room you have a fantastic view of the Lilienstein. A nice starting point for hikes in the Saxon Switzerland.
