Our home is a new family house on the riverside of the Kemijoki, 12 km from Rovaniemi. The house is in a scenic and spacious yard. We have all modern facilities. The house has automatic heating and air conditioning. Sauna, bathroom, free WIFI, washer/dryer, dishwasher, induction stove/oven, fireplace, etc. We have a large terrace facing the river. There is an open garage with a socket for the winter motor heating. House is excellent for families with children to enjoy different activities.

Big terrace and barbeque area gives for your staying more value. The interior of the cabin is decorated with Finnish design classics, and it is very cozy with all the household equipment needed. On the scenic Kemijoki shoreline from Rovaniemi, about an hour drive, 65 km towards Kuusamo. I recommend renting a car. 75 m2 cottage with all amenities, two bedrooms, kitchen-living room, sauna, bathroom, porch and terrace. Near the cottage there is a (approx. 700 m) beach. Opportunities for snowmobiling, fishing, berry picking, hunting and camping. There is a boat landing point about 1.2 km away.

I had a wonderful stay! The hosts were super friendly and responsive—always available when needed but respectful of privacy. The location is absolutely beautiful, perfectly situated between Rovaniemi and Oulu. I’d definitely recommend having a car to explore the area. One of the absolute highlights was the sauna with its stunning view of the lake and sunset—truly priceless. The amenities were amazing and made the whole experience feel extra special. Fire place, sauna indoor and outdoor, hot tub. Everything for a spa feeling, which I really appreciated. I fully enjoyed my time here and would gladly come back!

The cabin is beautifully and cozily furnished and is set in a quiet, picturesque setting with wonderful views of the open sky and the frozen lake, surrounded by an idyllic forest landscape. Esko is an extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating host. He was always available, gave us valuable tips about the surroundings and gave us an unforgettable day with ice fishing and a cozy campfire with picnic. Important to know: There is NO running water, instead water from the lake is used. In winter I recommend bringing slippers or thick wool socks as the floor remains cool despite heating. Electronic devices can only be charged via USB cable.

We spent 10 days in this beautiful house in beautiful surroundings. The magnificent lake closeby, the remoteness and still having Pello and Rovaniemi at a good driving distance, the quietness and every morning that lovely view from all of the windows, the sauna, the crisp morning air, ....we look back at a fantastic time : we fell in love with Pello-Lappi. Thank you Aini and Risto and Hanna, for letting us spend time on your property ; it was a privilege. Thank you for the personal stories you shared, for your kindness, your friendlyness. We would love to be back and see the place in an other season.

very nice house, warm. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. You can take a sauna and then go down the stairs and swim in the river. We saw the northern lights on the first and last day of our vacation from the cottage. The village of Santa Claus is only 30 minutes from the shawl as well as the town of Rovaniemi. Highly responsive host.

Perfect place for perfect vacation. Spotless cleand and functional apartment, comfortable mattress, kitchen fully equipped with all you need to cook ( full cupboards of spices ❣️) Walking distance to city centre and walking trails. Supermarket just 5 minutes by foot. My kids 8 and 10 years old loved the two sledges provided ,so much fun in the snow. Direct access to back garden, lovely terrace with barbecue (coals provided). And the cherry on top was the sauna, just perfect after a day in the cold. Will definitely be back next year.
