Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Rouillac

This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

Very pleasant little stay in this little house with lots of charm. Very well arranged, I would 100% recommend it. All our expectations were met. Thanks to Sophie for her responsiveness and good mood.

A gem of a place ! It is not easy to find places in the region that are not exorbitantly expensive or furnished from grandma's leftovers; this hits a perfect note with a mixture of stylish antiques and comfort, everything has been thought of down to the Savon de Marseille in the bathrooms! Clearly lots of love has been poured into the house and it shows, from a well stocked larder with everyday essentials (including coffee pods for the machine) to the lovely welcome hamper. The garden at the back overlooking the old monastery is perfect and very secluded and even though it was only April I managed to eat outside each morning and evening (there are 3 other terraces too). The host is on hand easily for tips on where to eat or visit if needed. Tusson is a great village with a good places to eat including the wonderful Gateaux for amazing cakes.

We had a nice weekend. Impeccable accommodation, and as described. Great hosting. Great value for money. A place that we will remember for the future.

Very pleasant and spacious and well-equipped accommodation. The only downside is the proximity to the road and the noise from cars. Note, no battery in the remote control of the downstairs bedroom air conditioning, broken outdoor deckchair, no air conditioning in one of the upstairs bedrooms (under the roofs), bathroom mirror switch in the downstairs bedroom too bright.

The place is very beautiful and serene. The house is clean and very modern. The entrance is a bit difficult to find and you need to bring your own towels, but otherwise it was a lovely stay.

Corrine and Stéphane are exceptional hosts! They go above and beyond to ensure that all guests feel welcome and taken care of throughout their stay. Their attention to detail and warm hospitality make the trip perfect in every way. We had an amazing experience and will definitely be recommending their place to everyone we know. We can for another visit!

Gorgeously located gem in the heart of Cognac, this is a super apartment ideal for enjoying the areas beauty - perfect for long strolls, accessible to Cognac's best eateries and only a stone's throw from the famed distilleries.

The appartment is fantastic. Stylish and comfortable with everything you need. Its within easy reach of shops, places to eat or just sit and have a coffee, the market, walks by the river and there are bus stops close by, but its quiet at night too. Lisa is great with good and speedy communication. We'd definitely like to come back. Merci beaucoup Lisa!!

Spacious and beautiful accommodation. Very clean, with everything you need. Hosts are considerate and responsive. If I come back to Angoulême, I'll stay with them.

Ideal apartment for the weekend spent in the area. Private access and a small courtyard that also allows you to enjoy the outdoors. Great value for money, I recommend it

We had a pleasant stay at Josiane's place. Very clean and comfortable accommodation, with all the necessities available. Communication with Josiane went very well. When we're back in Charente, we'll be back.

We had a great stay in this lovely apartment which was very centrally placed in Ruelle sur touvre. It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and was beautifully furnished with much attention paid to detail. we loved all the old pots, antique weighing scales and arty pieces all around. Thankyou Christope, we will be back!

We spent a very pleasant week here. The flat is well located for touring the area and has good amenities in walking distance. The size is good and everything we needed was there. The secure parking was very useful. Sylvain was a great host, very responsive.

A luxury studio in such a beautiful building, with a fantastic garden where many birds sing. We had good weather, wonderful outside, watched Saintes but even more relaxing in the garden. Excellent
