Apartment vacation rentals in Rome

This was one of the best Air BnBs we have stayed in. Light and airy, spacious, super clean, and the building had great character. We were able to walk to the Collesseum and there was a metro just around the corner. Andrea was super friendly, responsive and made some great dining recommendations (we tried several of them - Trattoria Monti was a stand out!). There is a small toaster oven which was good for reheating leftover pizza and foccacia. Note there is no microwave. Washer/dryer was great for doing our clothes before moving to our next destination. Highly recommended- thank you Andrea and Luciana.

Serena’s place was just what we needed for the tail end of our trip. It’s located steps from the Pantheon and other attractions. We appreciated how spacious and quiet it was and really enjoyed have AC to cool off from the heat. It’s located near two taxi stands so easy to get in and out of the area as needed and her home is well equipped. We appreciated the Prosecco and snacks upon arrival as well as flexibility with an early checkin. Highly recommend if you want to be within walking distance of all Rome has to offer.

This place is a hidden gem in the center of Rome! Tucked away in a peaceful, beautiful neighborhood, it still feels like you're right in the heart of everything — just steps from all the main sights, yet far enough to enjoy the calm charm of local Roman life. The apartment itself is full of character and Roman vibes — from the classic architecture to the thoughtful decor. But the real showstopper is the upper living room. Every evening, we were treated to absolutely breathtaking sunset views over the rooftops of Rome! Everything was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The host was super responsive and gave us great local tips, too. If you're looking for a peaceful stay that still puts you near the iconic spots this is the place. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be coming back!

Michelangelo & Maria’s place is wonderful! It is in the perfect location, minutes from everything you might need in a vibrant area of the city. It is beautifully put together. The cleanest Air BNB I have ever stayed in. (Michelangelo ironed the sheets!!). They thought of everything- leaving, coffee, tea, candies, toiletries, etc. It is clear they take tremendous pride in this home. It was a privilege to get to stay there!

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment in Rome! The location was ideal — within walking distance to many of the main churches, which made exploring the city super easy. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our family. Communication with the host was smooth, and check-in was a breeze. We also really appreciated the A/C after long summer days. Giordano was extremely fast at responding to messages. Very close to colosseum and great location to bars and restaurants. Very cute apartment equipped with everything you need! Highly recommend this place!

beautifully tucked away in the middle of Rome. short walk to major attractions and restaurants. the unit had the magic of a quaint apartment overlooking roof top houses and close by church. Rosa was an amazing host, very flexible and accommodating when we had to change our itinerary. will definitely be back and recommend to our friends.

Great apartment in a great area with a great host. Carolina made our first trip to Rome so easy - she provided instructions on how to get to the apartment from the train station, met us at the apartment and provided tons of local recommendations, including making a dinner reservation for us at one of her favorite restaurants. The apartment is perfect - on the ground floor in a busy neighborhood you would think it would be loud, but we never had issues with outside noise. The apartment is squeaky clean and has everything you need for your Rome vacation, including a washing machine. We felt safe, with a locked outer door to the building and a multi-lock deadbolt on the apartment door. You're in Trastevere, which means you're only a few steps from great restaurants in every direction. Walking to the sights in other areas of Rome is easy - we only used taxi/bus for going to the Vatican. Book this and you won't regret it.

It was a great stay. Quite central, close to the terminal. Monica and Giancomo are very attentive and responded quickly in case of doubts or questions about the place.

We had the most beautiful stay at Polly’s gorgeous home! She was an excellent host, very welcoming and extremely helpful. We arrived late and hungry and she was able to call a nearby restaurant to make us a last minute reservation. It was the best meal at a very romantic spot 💖 Amenities were great and exactly as described…we were so happy to do a load of laundry and to have a cool place to relax in the heat of the summer. Polly reserved us a taxi to take us back to the airport. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Rome! Great location within walking distance to all the sights. Don’t skip the bakery right on the corner, everything is delicious!

Guido's place is located in a very walkable area but outside of the primary tourist locations in Rome which can get quite noisy and crowded. Lots of restaurants, a fantastic gelato shop (Fassi), a nice park nearby, and it's about a 15 minute walk from the Termini train station. The location was perfect for us, and the space provided everything we needed for a short stay in Rome.

Giuseppe's was perfect for our family of four (with a 12 yr old son and 16 yr old daughter). It is so well placed that you can walk to pretty much everything. For us it was great because we could walk to something in the morning, come back to cool off and recover, then go back out. The only reservation I would have is for someone that has difficulty with steps, there are quite a few. However, this is a small price to pay if steps are not a problem. Giuseppe is very helpful and easy to communicate with. We would book this place again in a minute.

We arrived in Rome and our driver easily found the apartment. We loved the immediate neighborhood and Trastevere as a whole. Great restaurants nearby, especially right downstairs, and close enough to Rome’s attractions without being in the center of all the tourists. We had great communication with the hosts though we didn’t have any problems. Would definitely go back.

We loved our stay in Rome! The location was just great for anything you want to do surrounding the Colosseum. The apartment was beautiful. We loved how quaint it was and having air conditioning was so necessary as it got up to 97 degrees yesterday. We loved everything about the apartment once we got inside! They had all the amenities we needed!

The views are breathtaking. The area is perfectly walkable to almost all the big archeological sites and good food. The apartment was huge, the kitchen was perfect. The air conditioning units don’t really work effectively, it was hot without the windows open at night. There was someone playing live music and singing downstairs right outside the colosseum every night which we loved.

Perfect location in Rome in the middle of everything we wanted to see and do. The views of the Pantheon from the living room was breathtaking and we loved ending each day in the Piazza next to the Pantheon. Communication was great.

Our stay at this Airbnb villa from June 11th to 14th, 2025, was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived until our departure, everything was simply five-star. First, the villa itself is excellent. It's beautifully appointed, comfortable, and truly felt like a luxurious home away from home. But what truly sets this property apart is its incredible, central location. We literally walked to every major attraction! The Vatican, the Colosseum, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain – everything was easily accessible on foot, which saved us so much time and hassle. Exploring Rome from such a convenient base was an absolute dream. Beyond the fantastic property, our hosts were simply phenomenal. They were incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our entire stay. They went above and beyond, even arranging all of our transportation for us: from the airport to the villa, to the cruise port, and then back to the airport. The view and the hosts are the stars. It’s the perfect combination. You’re not just near the Trevi Fountain—you’re right on it. We sat in the windows above one of the most iconic spots in the world, watching the crowds and the chaos from our own quiet perch. At night, when things calmed down, we’d walk down and have the fountain almost to ourselves. I’ve stayed in hundreds of Airbnbs, and this one stands out. Some places you just sleep. This one gives you a memory. The apartment is spotless, quiet, and beautifully designed. The fabric wallpaper gives it a cozy, elegant feel. There were snacks waiting for us when we arrived, which was such a nice welcome. And the host? Absolutely top-tier. My parents accidentally left a passport behind, and he personally met us to return it—so we didn’t miss our Vatican tour. That kind of kindness is rare. If you’re lucky enough to find this place available, book it. It’s one of those stays you’ll talk about for years.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The terraces were incredible and such a lovely place to have an aperitivo in the evenings. The beds were comfy and WiFi worked well enough for people to work from home. We were worried about the stairs as we were staying with two small children but it was all fine! It was frustrating that they wouldn’t provide a high chair or travel cot so we had to add this to our baggage at the last minute. Every Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in (including my own where I host) provides this. The kitchen was also quite tricky to cook in with no work surface and tiny drawers that don’t fit the huge plates easily. But the location couldn’t be topped!

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment in Rome. The location is unbeatable—steps from Campo de' Fiori with great restaurants, shopping, and an easy walk to all the major sites. The host was responsive and met us at check-in, taking the time to walk us through the apartment and confirm everything was working, including the AC and hot water. The space was just as pictured: spacious, clean, and full of old-world charm with beautiful art and décor. The third bedroom is a bit small but still perfectly manageable.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this spacious and beautiful apartment. You cannot beat the location for easy walks or public transport to all of the sites in Rome. Sipping their gift of limoncello on the terrace looking at the coliseum all lit up at night is something I won’t forget. Riccardo and his staff were incredibly responsive and helpful. They met us at the apartment and gave us lots of insider tips for getting around and helped us get our airport taxi home. The building has extra security and such charm. We highly recommend this spot in the heart of the Monti neighborhood.

Our family of seven fit perfectly in the apartment with plenty of bathrooms to share. Gabriela was responsive and helpful. Check in and access was super easy. We made use of the washer/dryer as we’re were half way into our three week trip - this was great for us. We also had some easy dinners around the kitchen hen table - we had everything we needed.
