Waterfront vacation rentals in Rethymno

We loved it! A couple of suggestions: Would be helpful to tell guests that they will park behind the building and enter the apartment from the back, not the front of the building.. Would be nice to have a lounge chair for the balcony.

Ein chickes Zimmer mit wirklich allen, was man brauchen könnte - vom Balkon aus ein schöner Blick aufs Meer und den kleinen Hafen, nur wenige Meter zu den nächsten Cafés und Tavernen ... an Strand war alles sehr angenehm, das Dorf dahinter erschien uns weniger "schön", aber die Lage ist gut für tolle Ausflüge an der Südküste und in die Berge.

Ce logement est parfaitement bien placé pour aller faire tous les points d’intérêt de la région de Rethymnon. La proximité avec la route n’est pas gênante car celui ci est extrêmement bien insonorisé et les chambres donnent sur un tres beau jardin (avec jeux enfant) et sur la mer. A noter que fin Octobre la zone est plus que calme donc on a le restaurant et la plage pour nous seul. Parking en bas de l’appart. Je recommande!

Wonderful little flat directly at the beach. Golden view onto the cove, terrace to sit and relax (sunbeds would have been excellent there). Despoina was super helpful and made our stay unforgetable.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt bei Kostas. Die Wohnung ist perfekt für eine kleine Familie, gut ausgestattet und mit super Lage direkt am Meer! Es gibt fussläufig viele nette Restaurants. Im nahegelegenen Kamilari gibt es einen schönen Spielplatz. Kostas war sehr kommunikativ und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft ist zu 100% empfehlenswert, wir kommen gerne wieder.

We loved staying at this place right in the heart of Rethymno. The location was great, close to everything and Marinos was very helpful in recommending restaurants and parking to make our stay easier. We would definitely stay here again.

Wir haben einige Nächte im Apartment verbracht. Es war perfekt, die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet und man konnte tatsächlich kochen (habe das bisher noch nie so gut erlebt), die Strandlage super, der Kontakt mit Zabia äußerst freundlich und unkompliziert. Es gab süße Katzen, die uns auf der großen Dachterrasse besucht haben. Wir würden die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

We really enjoyed our stay. Harry was very responsive and friendly. The house was really nice, just as described, and had everything we needed. The view is beautiful—if you wake up early, you can see the sun rise right in the center of the big window and watch it move all the way up. The location is good. We did hear some highway noise, and there was a friendly group of dogs that barked in the morning. But at least you could pet them they were sweet. The hot tub was nice. Although we didn’t use it as much as we thought we would. It’s on the roof, and since the house has a central spiral staircase, you need to come down it to get back inside. That made it a bit tricky with wet feet and the April nights were a bit too chilly to stay on the roof for too long after the tub. But we really enjoyed using the BBQ. Overall, we had a great time. Harry’s hospitality was top notch.

Wir haben uns in diesem Haus acht Tage lang sehr wohl gefühlt, auf der gut verschatteten Terrasse eine erholsame Zeit bis tief in die Nacht hinein verbracht. Ioanna hat uns mit verschiedenen Köstlichkeiten überrascht, liebevoll und immer erreichbar. Gerne kommen wir wieder, um diese schöne Aussicht zu genießen.

it is just as it's described. three verandas facing different directions so you can enjoy the sun or not. beautiful views of the sunset, sea and mountains. will definitely return 👍👍

We had a fantastic stay at Seaside Villa Lavrys. The villa itself is spacious, well-maintained, and located in a peaceful area with a lovely view. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, but do keep in mind that you’ll need a car to get around as the location is a bit remote. Taxi transportation from Chania costs around €30. What truly made our experience special was our host, Alex. From the moment we booked, Alex was incredibly responsive and attentive, always available to answer any questions we had. He went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay, offering great local tips and assistance whenever needed. His kindness and willingness to help made a huge difference in our trip. Alex’s family was also very warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly stay in Crete, and Alex’s hospitality made it even better.

An amazing stay at a gorgeous house on the beach - a pleasure to watch your kids play in the sand while you sit on a private terrace just above. Restaurants (and the people running them) were absolutely wonderful. Its a small area, detached from the city and large tourism projects elsewhere. But Marathi Beach has everything you need for a very relaxing and enjoyable visit. My only comment is that the home lacks an indoor livingroom / dining area. It didn't bother us as we happily ate at the covered outdoor table or sat by the beach in the covered loungers - but this may not suit someone looking to relax inside in the late evening

Die Unterkunft von Heike war super gepflegt und hatte alles was das Herz begehrte. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und unsere Zeit sehr genossen! Heike war auch beim Tag unserer Anreise vor Ort und hat uns persönlich viele hilfreiche Tipps gegeben und uns alles nötige erklärt. Sie war auch jederzeit schnell für uns erreichbar. Utensilien fürs Grillen von Fleisch und Fisch waren auch vollständig vorhanden. Die umliegenden Kleinstädte mit zahlreichen Lokalitäten sind mit dem Auto schnell und leicht zu erreichen. Wer sportlich ist, schafft es auch zu Fuß :) . Aber auch zu Hause kann man die Seele gut baumeln lassen, entweder in einer Hängematte oder einer Liege.

Super logement pour ma femme et moi avec notre bébé, agréable et bien équipé. l'essentiel pour séjourner étai présent. à proximité immédiate de la plage. un très bon moment

Menelaos is very-very good and super host! I highly recommend him to deal with. The house is very spacious and comfortable. It is situated in a small village 30 minutes from Rethymno (by car). You can find all necessary things in the house. Menelaos and his wife met us when we arrived. Sweet cookies and still water were the pleasant surprises for us. Few beaches are in 30-50 meters away from the house. The host kindly left 4 big beach towels. Many restaurants are few steps from the house, we loved every that we visited. The restaurant close to the beach have very big portions so be careful if you order much 😅 3 supermarkets are in 50-150 meters away from the house so there no problem to get anything you need and they are closed late. I would say this trip was one of the most pleasant and comfortable of all my years with Airbnb. Big thanks to Menelaos and his wife!

Ich bin so happy auf diese Unterkunft gestossen zu sein! Alles ist super durchdacht eingerichtet und der Balkon mit Sicht auf Meer und Felsen ist das absolute Highlight!!! Ich habe da sehr viel Zeit verbracht, auch mit Essen. Als die Aircon ausgestiegen ist und ich dies Eva gemeldet habe, hat sie sofort ein Techniker aufgerufen, der diese sogleich repariert hat, ein wunderbarer Service! Der Preis der Unterkunft ist in dieser tollen Wohnlage absolut günstig! Man ist zwar mittendrin (was auch super ist!), kann sich aber sehr gut zurück ziehen... Ich könnte gleich für immer da bleiben und habe fest vor, wieder hierhin zu kommen! Vielen Dank Eva, auch für die netten Souvenirs, an denen ich mich zu Hause weiter erfreuen kann... ;-)

Wir waren vom 6.10.-12.10. bei Nikos in der Unterkunft. Der Meerblick war toll. Abends haben wir das Meer rauschen gehört. 2 Minuten zum Strand. Das Wasser war klar und angenehme 25°. Am Strand waren nicht viele Leute, eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Insel bietet viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, die Altstadt von Rethymno ist allein eine Reise wert. Die Preise sind ok. Die Griechen sind nett und gastfreundlich. Nikos war zur Stelle, wenn wir ein Anliegen hatten. Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Diese Unterkunft können wir empfehlen👍. Sehr schöne Unterkunft in toller Lage gleich an der Strandpromenade. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet, Geschirrspüler und Waschmaschine sind auch vorhanden. Zwei Balkone im Osten und Westen, man hatte immer Schatten oder Sonne. Maria war super nett, hat uns erwartet und eingewiesen. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt!

Wir haben sehr schöne vier Tage hier verbracht. Der Ausblick ist wirklich wunderschön und in 10 Minuten ist man zu Fuß bei einem Supermarkt. Vor dem Haus konnte man gut parken.

This place cannot be faulted, excellent host, we wanted for nothing. Great location for centre of town, easy walking distance to amenities, would come back here again without hesitation

Das Apartment liegt in einer tollen Lage zwischen zwei sehr schönen Stränden und nicht allzu weit vom Flughafen entfernt oder für andere Ausflüge mit dem Auto. Man kann hier noch den typisch griechischen Charme erleben - in den Tavernen am Meer oder im nahe gelegenen Supermarkt. Das Apartment selbst ist sauber und hat alles was man braucht! Sogar 1 Flasche kalt gestelltes Wasser und die nötigsten Dinge zum Kochen (Öl, Salz, Zucker, Kaffee) sind vorhanden! Dimitris war darüber hinaus sehr freundlich und half bei Fragen oder kleinen Problemen mit dem WLAN sofort weiter! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und genossen sehr die Gastfreundschaft! Wir würden immer wieder kommen :)

Die Wohnung liegt perfekt, um die Insel zu erkunden, man ist im Zentrum der Insel, sofort auf der Autobahn (Empfehlung: vor Einzug unbedingt rückwärts am Berg anfahren üben!!) und trotzdem ist die Wohnung sehr ruhig und hat einen tollen Blick aufs Meer. Vor allem der kleine Balkon direkt über dem Meer hat es uns angetan, auch wenn er im Sommer vielleicht etwas zu heiß/zu wenig schattig sein könnte. Hier schließt man auch schnell Freundschaft mit den 4 Katzen, die gelegentlich auch den Nachbarshund zur Weißglut treiben. Wer Angst vor Katzen hat, sollte sich bei diesen anhänglichen Exemplaren lieber eine andere Wohnung suchen, Katzenfreunde werden es lieben. Mariannas Mutter ist eine gute Seele, bringt Eier der hauseigenen Hühner sowie frisches Obst und Gemüse vorbei. Alles in allem für uns der perfekte Ort, um die Erkundung der Insel mit Erholung zu kombinieren.

We were two couples sharing this apartment and it was well equipped and spacious, as per the photos. The beds were comfortable with good quality linen and it was nice to have shower and beach towels. The large balcony was a great space with a good view but two of our party have slight hearing issues and the traffic noise made conversation difficult at times. However the location of the apartment is great with such an interesting beach and sea view. We swam frequently and it was easy to pop down at all times of the day and evening. The walk to the old town was pleasant and easy and it was well worth a walk to the castle. We had a problem with the fob not working to access the parking area but Constantine responded quickly and resolved it. Despite the parking space being on the small side we had no issues with a medium sized car that fitted 4 adults and luggage comfortably. Constantine met us to show us the parking and apartment despite being quite busy which we appreciated.
