Amazing little cottage, that we really enjoyed to stay in for 6 days. Saw amazing northern light and had peace and quiet just like We wanted. Close to all the stuff We value and love about Iceland: Golden Circle, horses, nature and the sea 😍😍😍 Friða ís always responsive in case of questions and that was amazing ❤️❤️

What a beautiful, picturesque piece of heaven! Hosts were lovely, responsive and flexible to our tardy exit due to wrangling our toddler twins! Thank you for a delightful memory - we will be back!

Charming lovely cottage just outside Selfoss. Great place for some quiet peace & to (hopefully) see the Northern Lights. The cottage is very well-stocked with amenities for leisure and cooking.

Estuvimos genial! pudimos ver auroras porque además al estar en medio del campo cuando los cielos están claros se ven las estrellas super bien! Christiane es super maja además, tuvimos un problema al salir que el coche se nos quedó con la mitad de las ruedas en la cuneta y se lo dijimos para pedir ayuda y me dio el teléfono de un camión de remolque de Selfoss ! Super agradable, responde enseguida y la cabina es perfecta!

Wat een geweldige locatie. Omringd door bomen en een heerlijke hottub. Veel bezienswaardigheden binnen 30 min rijden. De inrichting is heel sfeervol. Het was een uitdaging om te zorgen dat het niet te warm werd in huis. We hebben met onze dochters kunnen sleeën. Kortom we hebben een geweldige tijd gehad

El alojamiento de Monica y Siggi esta muy bien, tal y como se describe en las fotos. Ellos fueron siempre muy atentos, contestaron muy rápidamente y nos pusieron cuna para nuestro bebe sin coste. Lo recomiendo! Muchas gracias por todo

Le lieu est très agréable et très calme. Il y faisait un peu froid mais nous sommes en Islande après tout :).

Die Unterkunft und die Kommunikation war super. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Der Hot Tub ist super warm und steht sofort bereit. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und würden wieder kommen. Vielen Dank.

It's our third trip to Iceland and this is our favourite Airbnb so far. The surroundings is beautiful and quiet. The house itself is wonderful, comfortable and very clean. The hosts have really put in a lot of thought and effort to ensure that we have a great experience and want for nothing. Highly recommended!

What a cute converted shipping container tiny home community. There is access to free washers and dryers and free area where guests leave food and other items they no longer need. It felt like a community even for the one night we stayed. Even the fold out bed was really comfortable! Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay… especially the geothermal pools which are just a quick drive uphill. The property was beautiful, peaceful, and just as described.

Heel leuk en knus huisje in een mooie omgeving! Heel sfeervol ingericht. Afgelegen en privé en we hebben 2x het Noorderlicht kunnen bewonderen! Ook genoten van het uitzicht op een kudde paarden in de verte. Het was wel aan de frisse kant in het huisje toen de temperatuur rond het vriespunt zat. Uiteindelijk hebben we dag en nacht het elektrische kacheltje vol aan gehad, toen ging het beter.

It was the prefect place for what we planned. It was very peaceful and easy to find. We were very comfortable. It would be a good place to see the northern lights but the weather was not on our side. Just one of those things. Thank you Stefan.

Highly recommend this place. You can take a rest after long trip or escape from the city in peace and quiet place! There is everything what you need to spend the best time. The owners are amazing people friendly, nice, and they take good care of this house. This makes this place so unique. We gonna back there again for sure :)

Perfekte Unterkunft, die sehr gemütlich und gut ausgestattet war. Aron war super nett und hilfsbereit. Von der Unterkunft sind viele Sehenswürdigkeiten mit dem Auto erreichbar. Der Whirlpool war toll, die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet, inklusive Airfryer, sowie einem Grill und einem Pizzaofen auf der Terrasse. Direkt um das Hausgrundstück herum waren viele Pferde auf den Weiden. Wir waren mit 7 Personen dort. Besser hätte die Unterkunft für uns nicht sein können.

Jona was a terrific host and her cottage was perfect for our family of three. we had great conditions for viewing the northern lights and away from any light pollution so we could really enjoy their beauty!

Wir verbrachten 5 Nächte im Sel von Maja und haben es sehr genossen. Es ist sehr gemütlich, hat aber absolut alles was man braucht und zu zweit war auch genug Platz für unser Gepäck. Die Zufahrt über eine Schotterstraße war gut machbar mit einem 4x4 und es ist herrlich ruhig mit wunderbarer Landschaft. In der ersten Nacht konnten wir sogar Nordlichter sehen. Maja war super nett und hilfreich und hat alle unsere Fragen im Vorfeld immer sehr schnell beantwortet. Jederzeit wieder! Danke Maja für deine Gastfreundschaft!

This place is a slice of Goth Heaven. Isolated, dramatic and beautiful! You will need a 4x4 to get here in winter - the ice on the road is no joke - but it's completely worth it. If you're considering it, just do it!!

Dit was onze favoriete plek op Ijsland. Het heeft een prachtig uitzicht en is een gezellig hutje. Het is klein maar alles wat je nodig hebt is er. Echt een aanrader!

We enjoyed our stay, the place is very peaceful and quiet. Everything we needed was provided. Do not worry the place is well heated but there are also many flies haha. We would definitely visit again and hopefully we will! Thanks Rakel!

Échanges très fluides et agréables avec Jòn. Il nous a d’ailleurs alertés le dernier jour sur les difficultés climatiques et nous a proposé de rester plus longtemps dans le logement le temps de laisser passer la tempête, nous avons beaucoup apprécié. La cabane est confortable, il y fait chaud et elle est bien équipée (noté juste pour vos éventuelles courses qu’il n’y a pas de micro-onde ni de four!). On pensait que la cabane était totalement isolée mais il y a deux infrastructures très proches de la cabane et qui émettent pour l’une beaucoup de lumière, on perd un peu la sensation d’isolement. Nous avons passé un bon séjour dans cette cabane sous la neige!

Perfect, best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. Cabin was exactly as described and how it appears in the photos. Was spotlessly clean too. The kids loved the mezzanine bedroom and we slept pretty well in ours too. Bathroom was good, great shower. Fully appointed kitchen which was handy as we ate in on a couple of nights given how remote the property is. Lovely double height living and dining space, great views and we saw the Northern lights too. Jona was very friendly at check in and gave us lots of helpful advice and recommendations. Great base to explore the golden circle, south coast, glaciers and waterfalls. Supermarkets and restaurants in Selfoss not too far away. Pretty close to the Secret Lagoon too! Loved it. If we come back to Iceland I know where we’ll stay!

We had a wonderful stay. Location was amazing, people were friendly, and the cabin was super cozy. We would recommend!
