Amazing amazing amazing!! I want to go back - comfortable, great location (walkable to the beach and amazing restaurants right at the door)

We stayed a week at Sophie's place and it was super nice and relaxing! We felt very comfortable. What you should know, the apartment is a few meters above the street, so you should be fit enough for the path. We managed it with suitcases without any problems. The bathroom is very small, but everything is feasible. The kitchen was really super equipped. Restaurants and groceries are within walking distance, Sophie was always available to help!

When simplicity is luxury. Beach house for those who like authentic stays and are looking for a relaxing vacation with their feet in the sand. The host Paulo was always helpful and attentive. The beach house is old but optimally preserved, fully equipped and clean. congratulations

Amazing property and view. We had a terrific time. The property worked great for our group. Best sunset! Marco and his crew were extremely responsive. Driving in the Douro Valley is not for the faint of heart. We had a ball!

The place was great! Our stay was in June and thank God there was air conditioning in the bedrooms. The views are breathtaking and with the heat, the pool was much appreciated! Compare to photos, they were missing sun loungers by the pool. Despite the air conditioning in the rooms, some places are very humid... The last thing is if you go there to sleep in, it won't be possible with the roosters that start crowing around 4-5 a.m.

This is a lovely place to explore Sintra and the national park. You're really close to the beaches and the forests, with the best view of a small village. Check in was easy and we received really clear instructions on how to find the building. The cottage is gorgeous and well stocked, we had a comfortable stay.

This location was a hidden gem. The view is unmatched and the infinity pool was a bonus. It felt like a dream. Annemie was very welcoming and we loved the friendly cat! It definitely felt like our second home and I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for their perfect getaway under the sun.

We cannot say enough about how enjoyable, peaceful, and satisfying our stay was in Fontelo at Marina’s house! The house feels spacious and open, with everything you need to be right at home. The views are incredible and the pool and outdoor spaces are functional and enjoyable. I wish I could go back and have another cup of coffee outside, watching the sun rise over the vineyard hills. A 15-minute drive to the Douro River makes tasting the local wines and Port very accessible — just make sure to check the route before following your GPS or you may end up on a dirt farm road :-) Marina is friendly and responsive, always willing to help with questions or suggestions for where to shop and eat. We are already looking forward to our return!

Beautiful villa, even more beautiful than in the pictures!! Peaceful and private place. Great for a family vacation, our children really enjoyed it. Great host, professional, friendly, very responsive. I recommend it 1000%

The location is unbeatable: just a short walk to the beach, charming cafés, local markets, and the heart of Cascais, yet still tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. The hosts were exceptional — friendly, responsive, and full of great local recommendations that made our stay even more special. They truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home. It’s the kind of place you instantly feel comfortable in and never want to leave. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for an unforgettable getaway in Cascais. We’ll absolutely be back!

The apartment was super clean, very tastefully decorated and well equipped. The view from the terrace and through the huge window front was really, really beautiful. The surroundings are very quiet, we were able to switch off well. Arran & Oliver were very friendly hosts who already provided us with informative and helpful tips about the apartment and the surroundings in advance. Check-in and check-out were straightforward. Thanks for a great stay!! ☺️

If you want a real local Sintra experience then this is your place. Charming house with a lot of character, charm and history. We were a group of 6 and cooked in for dinner 2 of the three nights. Very close to town center for walking. It’s a very hilly town so if you like walking it’s great for you. Maria could not have been nicer.

Marvelous property provides direct access to a secluded mountain paradise. Literally nestled in lush, impressive peaks, majestic views and remote location can’t be beat. Kevin was kind, friendly, and available throughout our stay to answer questions, and offered assistance above and beyond what hosts typically provide. The place is meticulously crafted—Modern fixtures and rustic style within (imaginably) a traditional stone build for the region. Bedroom loft is spacious, very comfortable king-sized bed (firm). The main room is a cozy, open floor plan—kitchen/living room—and ideal for two people. Main room is connected to front patio (outside) AND large enclosed solarium, and attached to solarium is another outdoor deck, all of which offer an inside/outside feel and a felt sense of being immersed in the mountains. Sounds of birds and waterfalls surround, sunlight on peaks throughout day is stunning, and clear nights offer awesome view of moon and stars. We loved being there so much!

I remember reading a review of one guest saying how this was the nicest ABNB they ever stayed at, and i have to say that this was spot on. the location and view are spectacular. the house excellent. Highly recommend staying here. Host was also very responsive and a pleasure to deal with.

We had a lovely stay, super hosts and very peaceful area. We loved the saltwater pool and although we were a little worried about sharing with neighbours, it was all fine! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

Duarte was a communicative, responsive and helpful host - we really appreciated this as there's only so much you can research online. The location of Casa da Encosta is magical, the fact you can't park outside makes it all the more special with no immediate road noise. The small terraced garden which surrounds the house is totally charming, offering plenty of little places to separate yourself from others should you wish and read a book or enjoy the view. Fixtures and fittings are of a high standard and the renovation executed thoughtfully. The feeling of being inside a jewelled box comes to mind. Yet it feels like someone's home and you feel welcome in it. A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a remarkable region of Portugal. Thank you.

We stayed with friends for 1 week in Lara's place and felt comfortable from the beginning. The house was super clean. Lara was always easily accessible. The furnishings are very modern and the pool has sun all day! The house absolutely met our expectations. A small downside from our side: The house sits on a busy, noisy country road in a residential area under construction. You have to expect construction noise. Thanks very much, Lara!! Had a great time!

Unique location right on the beach, very nice interior, incredible view! We were happy about our Oropax, because you could also clearly hear the surf at night. Several good restaurants are a few minutes' drive away. Highly recommended, we will be back for sure!

This place is amazing! The location is so, so good. The accommodations are wonderful and the hosts are responsive. The only caveat is that the steps would be difficult to the bedroom if you are not pretty sure-footed. I would love to return!
