A mountain Villa built over 100 years ago, set on an imposing rock with a unique setting and a breathtaking view over the sea, the city, Cascais and the mountain where it is located. The house has been recently remodeled and expanded with a modern and design construction enjoying the view and the surroundings. You can see from the top of the Sintra Mountains, to Guincho to Cabo Espichel. A stone's throw from the hiking trails of the Sintra Mountains and its monuments, and next to good restaurants and cafés with a good atmosphere, the small village has a supermarket and pharmacy for your peace of mind. Guests have at their disposal a house with 2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen, fully private and access to a large garden with an infinity pool where they can enjoy the wonderful view. I live on the property and am available to share stories and information about the area. I love cycling and I know the Serra like the back of my hand. I can share the secrets of the mountains and advise on the best restaurants in the region. Malveira da Serra, a picturesque village near Cascais and Lisbon (20 min), with hiking trails in the Sintra Mountains and its monuments. Guincho Beach and its wild dunes with their unique beauty are a paradise for Surf/Kite-surf/Windsurf. I advise using your own car.

Quinta Barqueiros D'Ouro - Douro House

Casa do Douro is part of a group of houses located in Quinta Barqueiros D'Ouro. Taking advantage of the privileged location and view, the guest is in permanent contact with the river and the vineyard. The single house, duplex, has a common room on the 1st floor equipped with a complete Kitchenette, TV and Wi-Fi. It has a generous balcony with a table, next to the living room with a fantastic view of the Douro River, widely used for meals and at the end of the day. Visit a traditional Douro Valley estate!

The penthouse apartment features a river-view terrace. It includes a bedroom with a 1.60 x 2.0 m bed, wardrobes, and a safe. The living area is equipped with a sofa, TV, Netflix, and Bluetooth sound system. Bar with complimentary drinks. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer-dryer, induction cooktop, toaster, kettle, and Nespresso machine. The bathroom is complete with a bidet, shower, hairdryer, and toiletries (shower gel, shampoo, and body lotion).

Appointed to a high standard with simple yet sophisticated materials, such as micro cement flooring , stucco walls and linen curtains, and decorated in soothing natural colours, it blends harmoniously with its surroundings. Large patio doors lead out onto a spacious, private garden with wood decking, a heated pool, sun loungers and table.

Arriving at Olival de São Filipe means first stopping to take in the view. The high location of the seven-hectare estate provides rich vistas. “Even more beautiful than in the pictures”, is a frequently heard response.
