Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Portugal

Our stay was perfect. Teresa and Jorge are wonderful hosts, who have pampered us throughout our stay. They are always available and looking to satisfy any wishes or needs we may have. The house is really unique and special, full of history and beautiful decoration, antiques and exquisite details. Children and adults have been so comfortable with the pool, the weather, the barbecue, the outdoor furniture,... that we have enjoyed the house more than the obligatory tourist visits to the city and the area. 100% Recommended

Sofia was the most lovely host. Her place is stunning. I could have hung out there all day, but I also wanted to see Lisbon! She left us a nice assortment of groceries to get us started. Great location. Ten minute walk to the subway, which quickly gets one to the more busy areas of Lisbon. Super easy to get around. Grocery store less than 5 minutes away. I highly recommend Sofia's apartment. Thanks to Sofia, I found the flea market, which I would have never known about. Such fun! Sofia's decor collection and styling is beautiful and very much appreciated. Thank you Sofia!

We highly recommend this place! Susana is a golden person where you can feel at ease. She took care of our comfort ( extra blankets or air heater when the nights were colder), she made surprises at breakfast, for example, in the form of various sweets, cakes, or local sausages - to get to know the local flavors. In addition, nice conversations over tea, answers to questions, recommendations, and explanations of local customs. The house has everything you need, and the location (a little in the center of the island) makes it easy to get to anywhere. The coast is about a 12-minute walk away. Walking along you can go to several lookout points (there were interesting rocks and the water had a beautiful color).

We spent 4 nights in Lisabon, the apartment is really close to all important sightseeing spots.

This apartment is suited for whomever wants direct acces to Barrio Alto but without the tourist rush. Is very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The appliances work, shower pressure is very good. The host was extremely determined to make us feel comfortable. And we were. We also enjoyed the neighborhood, veery good wine var just across the street. All in one, a wonderful experience! And also tks for the wine, water and coffee capsules!

Perfect location, we had all the comfort we needed In the chale and waking up to all this nature couldn't ask more! Sr Carlos was a true super host!

Maria is super welcoming and friendly! She is like a grand Mother that everyone would love to have ❤️ The dog is perfectly calm. The breakfast is big and she made home jam 🤤 The place is lovely, i recommand! Also the flowers and the view is nice. Its close to downtown but with more space. I hope i can go back 😊

Worthwhile change from the standard AirBnb. It has more space and is more akin to a very upmarket bed and breakfast. Shared bathroom with one other room, not a problem and highlight was the provision of washing service for a small fee. Nice to share breakfast in a large breakfast room with other travellers. Recommended for those wanting a different AirBnb experience.

A beautiful piece of nature nestled in Carvide. Fabrice and Marie are wonderful, warm hosts and the Quinta is a reflection of their passion! We will back for sure, to enjoy the environment, breakfast, pool, and cats. Recommended for anyone!

If I could give this place over five stars I would!! Justus and Allison were such welcoming hosts that I felt comfortable and at home right on day one!! Justus gave so many great advice and instructions on how to get places, and interesting things to see which I hadn’t thought of :) Not to mention all the delicious breakfast for two weeks, I felt spoiled everyday. He helped me get my uber for my way to the airport, which I’m very grateful for. They really went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable, and I felt that way. I’d go back again just because they were so fun to talk to and such lovely people! I had no worries as a female solo traveler, even the area felt comfortable to walk around at late hours. Just be prepared for a few stairs every night, but they weren’t that difficult. I’d recommend this place to everyone, being right by the metro you can explore all of Lisbon easily :)

This BNB this so wonderful. Yves and his wife was so welcoming and kind to us. The bed is comfortable and the views are spectacular. About a 10 minute drive by taxi or your own car into Funchal for dinner. The views make it worth it being a little out of the city. A welcoming home that we found to be a little slice of peaceful paradise.

We stayed just one night, but it left a mark on our hearts. Michel kindly let us check in early without hesitation, and that kindness carried through our stay. We arrived in the afternoon and got back late after dinner, struggling with the gate. Michel, knowing we weren’t in yet, was awake and came out to help us without a hint of frustration. I had mentioned it was my birthday, and the next morning, his sweet wife surprised me with a homemade cake. They served a fresh vegetarian breakfast with organic jams, crisp croissants, and the best orange juice I’ve ever had. Their home is peaceful, with a serene garden, stylish boho room, pool, and secure parking. Before we left late that morning, I invited them to join us while I cut the cake, they sang in Portuguese, and I felt so loved. They host not for money, but for joy. We left feeling so full and already plan to return, next time, we want to take Mr. & Mrs. Michel with us for a one-day outing. 100/10.

My husband and I absolutely loved this stay, and hope to be back soon. The room was clean, beautifully decorated with big windows and a gorgeous view. The staff were friendly and approachable, and very accommodating of our extra requests. Every detail of this place was thoughtfully made right down to the continental breakfast. I have already suggested friends to stay here. It truly is a wonderful space. Thank you for hosting us xox

This was a beautiful place to stay with such kind hosts. Everything was perfect, so clean, peaceful, we felt right at home. Highly recommend this place if visiting Lagos. We would love to come back again.

5 stars aren't enough! amazing place, pristinely clean, amazing friendly staff. the room is very clean and has a great bed and comfortable mattress. spacious bathroom. they have a small kitchen where you can use a small fridge, microwave, kettle, etc. if you have the chance, include breakfast as it is very good. totally worth.

We were greeted right away by Mariana, who was so helpful and friendly! She gave us great recommendations for things to do and places to eat, and was always quick to respond to any questions through Airbnb messaging. The room was very clean, breakfast was delicious, and the woman in the dining area was very kind. The little courtyard was adorable — my daughter and I even enjoyed takeout there one evening. The honor bar was a nice surprise with a great selection. The location is very walkable with so much to see in town. We wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Very large house with everything you need. There were 14 of us and we occupied 7 bedrooms each with a bathroom. The refrigerator failed and Tiago replaced it the same day. Perfect place to visit the Douro and the surrounding towns but a bit far from Porto. Access to the house is via the back street.

Artti & Isabella go above and beyond to make you feel at home and welcome. Their love for the place, Portugal and people shows and it really is a super nice house to spend some chillaxed or active days at. Breakfast and dinners are amazing!! So make sure to attend some while you are there ;) Highly recommend!

We are currently on a round trip in Portugal and are glad that we spent four nights with Georgia and Marcio! Next time, gladly for longer! We like the space on the porch used for breakfast and in the evening for a glass of wine. Wonderfully suitable as a starting point to discover the Algarve! Thank you so much for the nice time! A really lovely room just like the photos. The family were all very welcoming and helpful. They allowed us to check in early as the room was ready and looked after our bags on our last day .We had a fantastic meal one evening in their restaurant, not to be missed . The only down side was it’s a reasonable walk to the old town of Porto but if you don’t mind that it’s a lovely place to stay

Lugar da Pedra Altra is a very special place, the host were very helpful and we had a very memorable holiday. We stayed there as a group of eight, two families and we had enough space, and the breakfast that they supplied was very enjoyable. We would look to visit again in the future
