Lake house vacation rentals in Portage Lakes

The home was exactly as described (including photos). Since we are from the area, we knew Portage Lakes is a great/quiet/beautiful area. Leslie did a wonderful job updating the home. Moring coffee to evening nightcaps, the decks provided an incredible atmosphere! We will be looking for this home every time we return to Ohio (o matter what the season)! Thanks for a great stay!!

This home was the perfect getaway for the weekend. Photos are accurate, hot tub was clean, and the response time from Amanda was excellent. They even allow dogs and have a fenced in yard, which was super convenient. Will hopefully book this place again in the future!

The king bed was very comfortable, including the pillows. Kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed walking the dogs around the lake and the fenced area.

We traveled from Florida to Ohio to visit family and friends, and stayed in this great place in Portage Lakes. It was close to everything we needed, and at the same time felt very private because of the lush surroundings.

This was my first Airbnb experience and this was the perfect little home to spend our get away weekend. From the easy drive to downtown for activities to the cozy at home environment, we will happily be revisiting this home again. My husband was less than two miles from Firestone Country Club to golf while my kiddo and I got to take a quick drive to go to the Akron Children’s Museum, Canal Park, and the Akron Zoo! We did not have the weather we would have liked but it did not stop use from enjoying the beautiful view from the gorgeous kitchen.

Had a wonderful time staying right on the lake. Be aware that there are a lot of stairs - not more than one flight; but a lot of transitional steps in between living areas. This might be relevant to anyone with mobility issues. Melanie was an incredible host and helped with all of our needs. The location is in a lovely neighborhood that is fun to explore. We really enjoyed the pier and kayaks provided.

The yellow door house is perfect - everything you’d need or want for an easy and relaxing stay! Great communication from the host, and thoughtful conveniences throughout. Great choice if looking for some lake time!

We loved staying in Johnnys house for our wedding weekend. There was lots of room, for everyone and Johnny was very accommodating!

This place is so peaceful and quiet. Loved the lake/pond and the wildlife. Geese and big, Fat groundhogs. The house itself has been nicely updated. There are neighbors, but I only saw them once or twice. The owners are super nice! The house does have well water. There is a mineral odor to the water. Just bring some bottled water. It’s well worth the price. We would definitely stay again.

This was such a great place to stay, close to all the hiking we wanted to do and very comfortable and spacious. Loved having coffee in the morning and watching the birds through the big picture windows. Will be hopefully staying here again soon!

super clean and cute on the inside. thankful for the colored porch lights. my only wish is that with it being such a hot week the a.c. would have been on prior to arrival. but overall a great stay ❤️

The house was perfect for our crew to relax in after a long days work at the splash pad in Aurora. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was great.

Property is very spacious. Lots of storage closets. Host has clear attention and appreciation to detail with decorations. Back massager chair was a huge plus. Yard was enclosed with opening view to water. Very peaceful environment. Internet works great for school and some online gaming. Host is very attentive to yard maintenance and quick to respond to any concerns. Great for working traveler with family.

I saw a few negative reviews and was hesitant to book, however we booked anyway and I’m glad we did! Our host was amazing. The house is clearly old but a work in progress and fit our family perfectly! We were in town for my daughter to compete in a dance competition. Everything was at pictured, clean, and well kept. Hot water in the shower was hot on demand. Kitchen was small but worked perfectly for our little family. The outside/back yard area was quaint and we spent a decent amount of time relaxing on the front porch where you get a semi view of the near by lake!! 10/10 would recommend this listing and booking with this host! Thank you so very much for letting us use your home while away from ours.

We had a fantastic stay, highly recommend!! The place was super clean and fun to stay in. The description and listing photos were super accurate - right down to the barn cats outside! We all enjoyed watching them outside from the beautiful sun room, and the house was super clean and cozy inside. The coffee was good too.

Omg this place is so unique and fun! First of all there is Taylor Swift vinyl to play. Second of all there are 500 photo ops. Third of all I could bring my dog. I loved everything about my stay. Instead of using the cute and functional looking kitchen, I went to Merchant Tavern and recommend it to everyone who stays here. Dannie was responsive to my questions and gave good suggestions for what hikes to do in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. I will likely book again when I have tickets to Blossom Music Center over the summer.

Had great time nice place little pricey but ok and would loved to come back

A group of my friends and I rented the home for one night to host our 5th Murder Mystery Game and we were blown away with how perfect this place was for it! We had plenty of space for the food we brought and everyone had a place to stay to sleep. It was nice and private, which is exactly what we were looking for. Some of my friends can get a little loud during these events, which is exactly why we chose this place for the lack of quiet hour restrictions. The space was extremely clean and well stocked with everything we would need, even cookies for us to enjoy upon arrival (which were delicious). A lot of us discussed possibly returning during the summer because we loved it so much!

A very comfortable and convenient place to stay in the Portage lakes. Everything was as advertised and the communication was excellent!

It was just what we needed to get away and relax. Such a beautiful space that was so inviting. This will be our little get away from time to time. Thanks for making such a wonderful place for couples to get away to!

This place was exactly as described. The house was nicely put together and very comfortable. It has beautiful views and very quiet place. I would rent this place again. And, the Duber family was very responsive.
