What a beautiful place! The friendly family hosts welcomed me warmly despite the fact that I was later than I’d expected due to traffic in Florence. The bedroom and living room view is stunning (the Duomo!), the bed was beautifully comfortable, the shower was hot, everything was clean and neat, and did I mention the views? The place is completely private with scads of room for one person; a couple would also find it very spacious. The heat works perfectly, which was welcome on one particular night when the temperature dropped. Lovely 10 minute walk up the hill to Fiesole center. I pulled my suitcase up the hill to the bus in the central piazza — perfectly do-able — use the time walking slowly to marvel at the views along the way and the cascades of purple blossoms along the streets.

The apartment is beautiful and full of exciting art. Francesca is a super nice hostess and very nicely inquired about me. My highlight was that there is a small communal courtyard where you can have coffee in the sun and make friends with a trusting little dog.

Giovanni's place is the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of Florence. The apartment is airy, spacious, well-equipped, and peacefully tucked away in the lush green hills connecting Florence to Fiesole. Abundant with fresh air and nature, the apartment is the ideal place to retire after a long day exploring the crowded stone labyrinths that comprise Florence. Offering beautiful views of the Tuscan landscape on every side, this spot provides a unique angle on the city and region. If you enjoy a long walk, you can easily reach the city center and everything Florence proper has to offer on foot. If not, you can choose from a variety of buses to whisk you away to the heart of the city in no time. The apartment is also a convenient base for excursions into the villages and trails nestled in the surrounding hills. Giovanni was an excellent host. He was always there to help and extraordinarily generous with his time. He made me feel very at home. I highly recommend staying here!

what a stunning place! the views and serenity were absolutely superb. Anna and her mother were incredibly accommodating, friendly and helpful. they treated us like family and made our stay unforgettable. the views over the valley and up the mountain are breathtaking and the peaceful ambience on the large private grounds was blissful. I would highly recommend staying at this property and I hope to return myself one day.
