Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Ponta do Sol

We had a great stay at this Airbnb. The view from the driveway overlooking the mountains and sea was stunning, and the area is peaceful and relaxing. We didn’t spend much time at the house apart from sleeping, as we were out exploring Madeira most of the day. Still, it was a comfortable and convenient place to return to at night. There’s also a separate closed patio with a grill and space to hang out outside, which would be perfect for anyone looking to spend more time at the property. Getting to the Airbnb involves a steep road, but after the first time, it’s easy. That’s typical for Madeira and part of the experience. We had a private parking spot in the courtyard, which made things even easier. The Airbnb was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the host was responsive and helpful. Overall, a great base for discovering the island.

Joana’s place was more than we imagined! It was actually 2 individual apartments in one house, each with room for 2 families, though we were just 2 couples. The privacy and the beach view were worth the stairs climb!! The stairs are a workout!!! Joana was an amazing host. Would recommend highly!

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in der Wohnung. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet. José war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Über die frischen Eier und das Gemüse haben wir uns sehr gefreut. Sehr Empfehlenswert!

We hadden een prachtig uitzicht vanuit het huis op de omgeving en de oceaan. De voortuin was wat klein voor onze groep, maar was prettig om in te zijn. We waren niet op de hoogte van onze bovenburen, terwijl de woning behoorlijk gehorig is. Er waren voldoende ruimtes met goede bedden en sanitair. De omgeving is heel mooi. Wij hebben het heerlijk gehad.

logement trés bien équipé de la cuisine aux détails, tels que plaids pour les soirées fraiches, parasol pour la plage, salon de jardin, barbecue..... un superbe jardin avec superbe vue sur coucher de soleil...

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! The house is extremely clean and matches the pictures perfectly. We even had freshly stocked groceries when we arrived which was a huge plus after 3 long flights. This location is so close to many delicious restaurants and the beach. We absolutely loved the pool and sun bed. 10/10 recommend!!! We already want to plan another trip back 🩷 THANK YOU!

We loved our two weeks at this location. Superb views over the ocean and the surroundings. All we needed in the house was present and clean. Very peaceful neighbourhood (although we were a little unlucky to have roadworks ongoing). Amazing private pool (with an extra bathroom)! Carolina was super friendly and always available for questions. Would love to stay here again in the future. Highly recommended!!

Alles wie angegeben, super Aufenthalt. Bei einem erneuten Aufenthalt würden wir hier wieder übernachten.

Nous avons séjourné 13 nuits chez Fatima. Nous n'avons jamais eu de logement aussi propre ! Certe le logement est humide mais Fatima fait en sorte que l'on soit le plus à l'aise possible (draps de rechange, serviettes en grande quantité etc.). L'appartement est très bien équipé, nous n'avons manqué de rien. La vue est splendide ! Fatima et sa famille savent nous accueillir, ce sont des personnes d'une grande gentillesse et très réactives lors de nos demandes. Le seul point négatif, mais qui est minime face à tout le potentiel du logement est l'isolement sonore. Le plafond n'est qu'un plancher et nous pouvons entendre Fatima et sa famille marcher si nous restons la journée à l'appartement. Le bruit ne nous a jamais réveillé ni empêché de nous endormir. Nous recommandons les yeux fermés ce logement et nous savons maintenant où loger si nous avons l'occasion de revenir visiter la magnifique île de Madère.

Die Unterkunft war wunderschön an einer sehr ruhigen Lage mit einer atemberaubenden Aussicht. Es war alles sauber und mit Liebe eingerichtet damit man sich ab dem ersten Moment nur wohlfühlen kann. Es hatte alles was man braucht, auch super fanden wir die vielen Küchenuntensilien und der Grill, den wir jeden Tag benutzten. Die Terrasse mit Whirpool,Lounge,Liegen und Tisch waren das Highlight. Wir verbrachten viel Zeit in der Unterkunft, weil wir uns so wohl gefühlt haben. Der Strand Calheta ist 5min mitem Auto einfach zu erreichen und sehr empfehlenswert. Auch fanden wir den Privatparkplatz super. Bruno und Maria sind sehr zuvorkommend und fragten auch nach wie es uns geht und ob wir etwas brauchen. Die Lage war für uns perfekt, sehr ruhig, viel privatsphäre und doch gelangen wir mitem Auto überall hin. Vielen herzlichen Dank an Bruno und Maria. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt bei Sandra. Die Wohnung war perfekt ausgestattet und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Von der Terrasse hat man einen schönen Ausblick über den Ort und auf das Meer. Die einzige Beeinträchtigung war die Straßenbaustelle, die während unseres Aufenthalts die Straße abwärts wanderte und uns bis abends wegen des Lärms von der Terrasse fern hielt. Von Sandra erhielten wir Hinweise, da der Zugang zum Grundstück beeinträchtigt war. Für uns Flachländer war der Zugangauf der sehr steilen Straße mit Baustelle ein kleines Abenteuer. Wenn wir wieder einen Urlaub auf Madeira planen, kommen wir gern wieder.

Beautiful patio overlooking the ocean with sunshine in the morning and the afternoon. Convenient place to stay if you have rented a car! Would definitely recommend!

Danke an Joana und Juan für den herzlichen Empfang in eurer Unterkunft. Die lokalen Tipps von Juan waren toll und das Appartement hat alles, was man braucht. Die Ausstattung ist hervorragend und alles ist in bestem Zustand. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Leonardo let us check in early. Beautiful clean environment right next to the water. He provided a clear and quick video to watch for instructions. Parking is a little complicated but your car is safe in a garage which is nice. Definitely recommend.

Eine schöne Unterkunft mit einem tollen Ausblick auf das Meer. Lauren und André waren immer erreichbar und haben sich schnell um unsere Fragen und Angelegenheiten gekümmert. Wir kommen gerne wieder :)

A lovely apartment: convenient, well-situated and pleasant views. Good location if you have a hire car; Funchal isn’t far at all, and there are many local shops and restaurants. Host-wise, unless you speak a little Portuguese, it can be slightly difficult; Jose is happy to call and speak for his mother. Very friendly and welcoming!!!

Enjoyable stay. Clean and had all that we needed. Nice balcony to sit on with good view. Comfy bed. Communicative and friendly cohost! Overall great stay, would recommend. It is ‘first come first serve’ parking however we never had an issue finding a spot at many times of the day.

The apartment was perfect for our family, a great base to explore the island. Well equipped for a family though we only used for breakfast, eating out in the many local restaurants . The bakery downstairs is fabulous , serving breakfast, lunch and snacks..

Superbe appartement ! Parfait pour un séjour a Madère. Le logement est tout équipé avrc une salle de bain par chambre ce qui est très pratique pour un groupe de voyageurs, la résidence avec piscine est un vrai plus. Je recommande fortement ce logement. Hôte disponible pour toute question.
