Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Pohjois-Lappi

Our stay at Tarja and Scott’s house was one of the best adventures of our lives. Even before the trip, they were very kind and helpful. When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and had everything we needed. The house was cozy and warm, with plenty of firewood. There is also a beautiful kota near the house where we could cook on the fire and watch the northern lights. We were lucky to see the aurora five nights in a row. Scott also gave us great advice about hiking and kindly let us stay a bit longer on our last day. Before we left, we had a nice talk and learned more about his life. We will always remember this peaceful place by the lake and hope to return one day. :)

We spent 2 nights in Sanna's house and everything was perfect. Before you even arrived, communication with Sanna was very quick and easy. Her house is very nice, very well decorated and filled with little touches. The sauna is a real plus. This is the first time I've stayed with someone else and felt so good there. There are people who have a sense of service and Sanna is definitely one of them. I can only recommend, everything was just perfect.

We thank Matti and Marita for the nice time in the house and will be very happy to come back. It was totally relaxing and we felt at home from the 1st second. The house is very cozy and warm, perfectly clean and the bathroom was newly renovated with foot underfloor heating and anything that makes it pleasant. The sauna was great. The kitchen is perfectly equipped. Beds were very comfortable. The internet was very fast and is fast enough to work from there if you have to. We enjoyed the trip to the reindeer, the cross-country skis and recovered very well during long walks in the woods. The hosts were always approachable and totally helpful. It was very interesting and we learned a lot about Lapland and Finland. Thank you for everything and hopefully until soon!

We had four lovely nights at the property. We were very satisfied with the amenities, there are more utensils than we originally thought. The quiet location in the Pyhä National Park is excellent in 5 min, almost everything is reachable by car (supermarkets, rental, trails, ski resort, hiking routes, restaurants, and other activities). Our highlight in the apartment was the sauna and the proximity to nature. Noora was a very great hostess, she always responded very quickly if there were any questions. Gladly again, highly recommend.

Sari and Osmo’s place is very nice and cozy, it’s small but has everything you need , the hosts respond very quickly and give helpful advice, and they also gave us an opportunity to check in earlier which was very much appreciated. The place is close to a supermarket, close to a bus stop and bus station, car rental, close to the river and a good starting point when you have a rented car and for many organised activities in Ivalo/Inari area. We were lucky to see the northern lights from the river and the backyard which was very nice. We recommend this place. :)

Pert's place was great for our family. Services within walking distance and ski trails too. Definitely worth the price.

The apartment was in a great location. Restaurants and ski trails were found right next door. The apartment was clean and nicely decorated. Virgine responded quickly to messages and made sure everything went smoothly. He gave us some great tips about activities and restaurants.

If you are thinking about booking this one, use me as the signal to make it official. The Pÿha Igloos are amazing. Great location, lots of stuff to do. We saw the Northern Lights from our bed plus hunting them around the town was very easy and safe. I will comeback for sure.

We felt very comfortable from the beginning. Petteri has been helpful from the moment of our booking and it was very easy to get in touch with him. Excursions could also be booked through him before the start of the trip and we were able to start the trip with a good feeling. The vacation itself was a dream and the place exactly as in the photos. Petteri has made a great effort to give us a unique vacation and is a very accommodating and friendly host. We couldn't have imagined it better and can only recommend this Airbnb.

We had a wonderful stay at Johanna's place. The apartment was very nicely furnished with attention to detail and very clean. The kitchen was very well equipped. The area is quiet, private and great for watching the Northern Lights. At Johanna's, we saw the strongest northern lights of our lives. Johanna herself was a very likeable host.

We spent a few nights at Tuomas's listing at Saariselkä and had a wonderful time there. The cabin is cosy and has everything necessary for an enjoyable time there. We enjoyed the fireplace and sauna immensely. It is some way off the centre of Saariselkä, but it is very much walkable, as we did many times. The cabin is also close to cross-country ski tracks and a lovely Mettäbaari forest bar along that track that serves pancakes and coffee. The hosts were very responsive, and we received answers very quickly when we needed advice.

We had a great stay! The location is easy to reach by bus (directly from Rovaniemi airport). The cabin looks just like the pictures, very cosy and perfect for the two of us. Warm inside and enough hot water in the shower. Everything (shop, info centre, skilifts) is really close by, so no need for a car. Communication with the owners was easy and they answered quickly to our questions.

Excellent cozy little apartment in a quiet location near the center of Sodankylä. The kitchen in the apartment is exceptionally well-equipped, and the sauna was one of the best little saunas you've ever met. Communication with Lea and the onsite Mira was great and without delay. It was my first time in Sodankylä, and I loved it. I found a Reindeer Farm of Juhani Maijala nearby, where I filled my styrox bag for the needs of the next few weeks - considerably lower than trade prices. Since it's winter time and I was on my way to Levi's spring, I also searched and found ski terrains in Sodankylä: behind the garrison, a little from the military home (mess) ahead is the starting point for good 5 and 15 km of trails. I'll ask about this place if I come back to Sodankylä.
