Villa vacation rentals in Playa Hermosa

First of all, I have traveled around the world and stayed in numerous Airbnb and this ranks as one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Clean, beautiful, decadent…and the kitchen has absolutely everything you need in order to cook! Beds were extremely comfortable, high-end mattresses and the pool was kept clean and the air conditioning was ice cold! Only a three minute walk to a mind blowing beach. Thank you Adam, wonderful stay and lifelong memories were made here!

We spent a month at Claire's place and it was so relaxing ! The house is beautiful, fully equipped and peaceful surroundings. Waking up to hummingbirds and the sound of monkey was a wonderful experience. We went there with 2 babies and a toddler the house was equipped with a high chair and a travel crib which was perfect. The pool and the house were cleaned weekly to ensure we had a clean environment. The king size beds are truly comfortable and the bunk beds are a great addition for families with young kids (even though they were a bit squeaky !). The only detail that wasn't a 10/10 was the wifi that was patchy and the smart TVs that were really slow and would close unexpectedly. Claire and Christophe were really friendly and would always answer our questions quickly. I would recommend to anyone who visits Costa Rica to book Villa Loulou without hesitation !

Amazing stay! The location is perfect—close to beaches and supermarkets. The house is spacious, ideal for large families or groups of friends. We really enjoyed the pool and the BBQ area. Everything was comfortable and well set up for a great time. Would definitely come back!

Our stay at Antonio’s place was nothing short of amazing. Antonio was super helpful and responsive to all requests. He made our stay stress free as he provided awesome recommendations for a driver as well as a personal chef for my birthday. Cannot recommend this place enough! If you’re considering it for your stay in Costa Rica, do it. :)

Magical Place Our week in Maria’s home was absolutely magical. Situated at the end of a sandy cove, we had excellent ocean access and amazing privacy. The home was so comfortable, with A/C in the bedrooms and breezy, beautiful living spaces in the rest of the house, deep decks with plenty of seating for meals, and tiny little spots under trees and bushes scattered throughout the ample yard. Our three generation gathering relished the pool, the beach, the yard games, and plenty of board games and art projects throughout the week. Maria’s recommendations for cooks and transportation were excellent. Maria was shockingly responsive…even sending someone over with two bags of ice when the ice-maker was a little slow for our needs. We were blessed with regular sightings of monkeys, lizards, birds, crabs, and dragonflies. We were so lucky to come upon this magical place that fully met all our needs, and exceeded our expectations.

Dave is the man. Not only made us feel welcome and right at home. Quick to respond. Fixed the shower in no time at all. Gave us so many great recommendations for the rest of our trip. All were exactly as expected. Thanks Dave. See you again soon.

We just came back from a week-long stay in this beautiful house. The pictures shown in the listing do not do justice, it is a very large house with plenty of room for 4 adults, the views from the pool and master bedroom cannot be beat, the location is great (listening to the howler monkeys at night was an added bonus), there was always plenty of hot water, and the pool is huge and was kept in pristine condition. The only slight negative we encountered was the requirement to not place any toilet paper in the toilets but rather place it in trash bags (we were not aware of this requirement prior to arrival). Other than that one minor surprise, we would definitely recommend Payton's house to anyone who wants a fun and relaxing vacation.

Great views. The top of the world pool within the community has unbelievable views at sunset. You’ll need to drive a little ways to get to many of the beaches but there are lots of options. House was comfortable and worked great for large group.

We had a great time staying at Katerina's place. The walk up the hill wasn’t an issue for us, despite some previous reviews mentioning it—it’s well worth it for the views and privacy. The plunge pool was perfect for cooling off after a hot day at the beach, and the home felt very secure throughout our stay. The property looks exactly like the photos—truly one of the nicest places I’ve stayed at in Costa Rica. The cleaners did a great job, and the showers were fantastic! I’d recommend keeping the shades closed during the day to help keep the interior cool. A few extra towels would’ve been a nice touch, but overall, we had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

The property is located in a pristine, quiet setting surrounded by beautiful views and the sounds of birds and monkeys! Las Ventanas is a secure community with a quick drive to Playa Grande. This house is a new build and an excellent option for a luxury property in Costa Rica.

Absolutely stunning home!!! breathtaking ocean views that make every moment feel surreal. The house itself is huge, beautifully designed and impeccably maintained. We loved the game room with pool table. Amazing value for everything it offers, highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay with 8 guests. The house is exactly as it appears in the photos, organized with 3 primary bedrooms around the central pool area. There is a fourth bedroom with 4 bunk beds. All of the bedrooms have their own bath/shower areas. The large living area has a big glass door that slides open to create an indoor/outdoor experience. We loved having breakfast prepared each day. We thought it might not be needed every day. However, after the first day, we decided it was too good to pass up, allowing us to relax every morning around the pool, drinking delicious coffee until the food was prepared. We would also highly recommend having a golf cart. It was delivered prior to our arrival and made trips in and out of town super easy. The location of the house is great. You can access either Playa Longosta or Playa Tamarindo through gates that are short walk from the house. The folks at the front gate to the neighborhood can give you the code. Overall, this is a great house!

This Airbnb is beyond gorgeous! The pictures don’t do it justice, I didn’t wanna say goodbye! The area is private and secluded but my group found it best to rent a car to get around. Jennifer was a lonely host and so proactive and able to help with all your needs and requests. Can’t wait to visit again.

We had an amazing stay at Steve’s beautiful Villa in Tamarindo! I was there with 6 friends for 2 nights, and everything from check-in to check-out was smooth and hassle-free. The villa was clean, spacious, and even better than the photos—perfect for a group getaway. The layout made it easy for us to relax together and unwind. The location was great—close enough to the beach and town to enjoy all the action, but tucked away just enough to feel private and peaceful. Steve was an excellent host—super responsive, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Tamarindo with a group! Would absolutely stay here again.

This house was amazing! Truly at great set up for a group of adults or families wanting their own space but also a place to hang out together. The owners were super helpful and took great care of us the entire stay! We had a few hiccups on the trip and they there extremely fast on responding and getting the issues resolved. They even bought us dinner and drinks one night for a few small inconveniences. This house by far has been the most time we spent at the actual house in during a vacation. Beautiful and relaxing.

When possible I do my best to rent properties that are only few steps away from the beach, this time I did an exception though and I don't regret it, Helen's place is in the top 3 of best airbnbs we have rented in Guanacaste, it's a nice and safe property with a covenience location and a very straight forward check-in. Playa Grande is not close enough to reach it out on foot but by car it's only about five minutes away, ah! and it is worth mentioning you can see the sea from the distance from the property's balcony!

We absolutely loved Casa Feliz. The pictures online do not do justice. It is absolutely gorgeous in person. We saw so much wildlife around the property and loved how it was private and away from everything but still close to the beach and restaurants. Claire was an accommodating and amazing. We were so sad to leave and can’t wait to be back! It was a privilege to stay at such a beautiful place! we highly recommend

Very beautiful home inside and out!!!! The rooms were spacious, even the bathrooms were big. House was equipped with the everything we needed. Amazing pool as well. Located in private and quiet area. Short drive to the downtown area. Easy check in and check out process. Esteban had great communication. Would definitely recommend and return!!

Would definitely stay here again! The house was beautiful with a lot of space. It was a quick walk to the beach and fun to be able to use the resort pool as well.

Wij hebben hier een week verbleven met onze peuter en het was heerlijk! Het huis is heel schoon en heel goed uitgerust, aan alles is gedacht! Goed uitgeruste keuken; wasmachine en faciliteiten om schoon te maken, uitgebreid beddengoed, handdoeken en doeken voor het strand. Echt heel comfortabel en prettig, zeker met een gezin! Ik raad deze accommodatie zeker aan voor families met kleine kinderen. Het huis is ruim en smaakvol ingericht. Ook het contact met de host verliep goed en makkelijk, ze reageren heel snel en zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Iets om rekening mee te houden is dat de grotere supermarkten wat verder weg zijn (30 minuten rijden ongeveer) dus bijvoorbeeld op de dag van aankomst is het verstandig vooraf boodschappen te doen. Het huis ligt een beetje afgelegen, maar er zijn genoeg mooie stranden en leuke restaurantjes vlakbij!

Our two-night stay was absolutely magical! The house is such a happy space with plenty of natural lighting in every corner. It served as both the ideal launching pad for our adventures and a blissful sanctuary during those hot afternoon hours when a siesta became essential. The backyard was an oasis with beautiful almond trees providing shade while we lounged in the hammock. There's a lot at home to keep everyone busy - board games, toys and puzzles. But most importantly, the location was perfect. We visited 3 wonderful beaches during our stay here, all within a short drive. Several restaurants and cafes nearby too. It took us 1.5 hours to drive to Liberia airport from here, so that was another plus. We'd recommend staying here if you are visiting the area. There is something for everyone!

Amazing house and location!

Esteban’s house & Flamingo Beach were perfect for my family of 5 for a week stay. Some notes for future travelers: - There’s two king beds and one queen - Washer and dryer are onsite in a room just outside the unit. We used it twice. - Road in was intimidating the first time but once we found the house we loved it. You will too. - The kitchen has all the hardware you need to cook but is limited on essentials beyond salt/pepper. We ate most meals at the house. - We flew into Liberia airport and rented a small SUV. If I come back I’ll go to the Walmart by the airport after we get our rental as it’s better stocked than the smaller markets near the house. They were fine, just smaller selection. - The walk to the beach is 1/4 mile (steep route to the left) or 1/2 mile (less steep route to the right). We took both. - There are two pools onsite. The infinity pool has a million dollar view. My kids loved it. - Daily Monkey/bird watching from the house & pool was a highlight for my kids.
