This is a beautiful cottage tucked away among lush woods and a stream. There are lots of footpaths on your doorstep and Porlock is a short walk away for shops / cafes etc. There's also a play park nearby. The location is a great base for exploring the local area. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing stay, including a lovely sun room. All was clean and the hosts were helpful and responsive. We really appreciated the personalised welcome goodies! The maps and other local info came in handy. We had car trouble while were there and the host was so kind and understanding, which made a stressful situation easier. I would recommend this property and thanks again to Denys and Carole for having us.

Had a great stay here for weekend away with family great host who communicated with us with no issues lovely spacious bedrooms close to shops and only a £10 uber ride into centre or you can walk would definitely recommend this place and once again thanks for letting us stay

Dans le cadre de la finale de la Champions Cup de Rugby à Cardiff, il m'a paru opportun de réserver un hébergement à Portishead. En effet idéalement placé au calme et dans un cadre bucolique, Portishead est à 50mm de Cardiff de l'autre côté de l'estuaire, à 30mn de l'aéroport de Bristol. Il est donc assez facile de se déplacer au départ de la petite et charmante ville de Portishead pour découvrir à la fois les 2 villes principales de Bristol et de Cardiff mais aussi le littoral et les environs balnéaires de la côte anglaise. Concernant le logement, il est idéal, reposant et vraiment charmant. Bien exposé sur un petit jardin à l'anglaise et inondé de lumière naturelle, peut être un peu trop le matin pour ceux qui aiment l'obscurité pour dormir. Tout est bien agencé avec goût et Arthur est vraiment très avenant et professionnel dans son rôle d'hôte d'accueil. Une belle expérience à recommander.

We spent a peaceful relaxing week at the Oak Tree Barn and we both slept well (petty Lottiedog woke us up at 5am like normal. Holiday…… what holiday lol!). Had cracking weather, didn’t sample any of the local eateries this time but found some lovely spots to walk Lottie (our fave being the nature reserve area beyond the marina at Uphill). All in all a lovely break at a nice setting in a comfortable home. Great stuff!!!!

We had a wonderful stay at the barn. Lots of room for us, a family of six adults. Comfy beds, great shower with lots of hot water for us all to shower after being on the river all day. Kitchen was very well equipped too. Would definitely come back.

We had an amazing 50th birthday party at Sophie’s house. This is a gorgeously characterful property with the most amazing gardens, 15 mins walk into Glasto and 10 mins to the torr. I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook. We had an early check in and late checkout for no extra cost and communication was brilliant throughout.

What an stunning place to stay with incredible views. The Couch House had everything I needed for my 10 day stay and was comfortable in every way. It's easy to access different areas of the coast and only 20 minutes from Bristol but the best bit was sitting on the patio with my book just listening to the birds. I would throughly recommend Mike and Ginny's place. They are excellent hosts who have fantastic knowledge of the North Somerset area which they're happy to share. Hopefully, I'll get back there one day.

What a lovely little hidden gem! I love my stay here even though it was only one night so comfortable like a Home from Home with everything you need. The town Centre is only about 10 minutes drive away. The bed is super comfy and the shower is amazing. Everything was tastefully decorated. I would happily booked to come back here again. I would recommend staying here.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Julie's caravan. Caravan was very clean, modern, and beautifully designed with nice personal touches that made it feel welcoming and cozy. The caravan was perfectly equipped, with a well-stocked kitchen and a big fridge with a freezer, ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Julie is an amazing host—she genuinely cares about her guests and went above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating. We also appreciated the lovely welcome gift, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we would highly recommend staying here!

I stayed here just recently with 4 other friends due to attending a friend’s wedding nearby. This location is beautiful, the photos do not do it justice. Everyone was pleased with the property and it really did feel like home. 100% will look to be returning.

stayed a weekend here and wasn't disappointed, by far the best layed out chalet I've ever been in, made the most of the space and is finished to a very high standard.. absolutely spotlessly clean and comfy, lovely and quiet on the park aswel... would deffo stay again. communication with Sarah was spot on, very helpful and quick to respond.

Great caravan, great location! Literally what it says on the tin! was clean and tidy. More spacious than I thought it was going to be! Sea view, nice relaxed club house, very quiet site. Sam & Jake were fantastic hosts, emailed me before hand with local info, food recommendations, taxi info. instructions on arrival easy to follow, access easy. We even arrived early and were able to check in! had a very small issue with gas/boiler, Sam & Jake responded within minutes and the issue was fixed promptly with no waiting around! Thank you very much guys!

We had a wonderful stay at The Old Rectory Coach House. Surrounded by nature, it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The peaceful setting and thoughtful touches made it a truly memorable experience. The swimming pool was a lovely bonus, and the whole place is ideal for families, with a great outdoor play area for the kids. Jan is a great and friendly host who made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended!

Great place with perfect hosts! The barn is lovely throughout and the location is perfect for lots of interesting places to visit! As hosts, they were really communicative and also respectful of our situation with a nervous dog. Highly recommend!!

Great apartment near Cardiff bay, with a balcony looking over the river Taff.

Tamsins home was pristine well thought out and everything was quality there are so many thoughtful touches around the kitchen and around the house and the log burner was glorious Tamsin was so accommodating and helpful if there were any questions. She offered myself and my friend a longer stay at a really good price I will definitely be back in the future. It was a blessing Thankyou

We had a lovely stay! The view from the property is absolutely amazing — especially when it’s sunny. It was such a treat to relax in the hot tub and soak in the peaceful surroundings. Driving up to the place at night can be a bit tricky if you’re in a van, but the host provided really clear and helpful instructions which made it much easier. The shower is nice, although the water tends to splash out a bit, which can get a little messy. That said, we really enjoyed our time there. The host was super responsive and made everything smooth from start to finish. Would definitely recommend it! 😊

Jolanta und ich hatten nur Kontakt über die Nachrichten. Sie ist eine sympathische Vermieterin und jederzeit erreichbar. Der Zugang zur Wohnung erfolgt über einen Schlüsselkasten - sehr einfach 4-stellig mit Zahlenrädchen einzustellen. Die Wohnung ist sehr hell und freundlich. Sie liegt nachts sehr ruhig (Wohngebiet). Wer gerne dunkel schläft, muss sich für eines der Schlafzimmer eine Schlafbrille oder ähnliches mitnehmen, da die Strassenlaterne sehr hell ist. Mich hat es nicht gestört. Das andere Schlafzimmer liegt im Innenbereich. Wenn man gut zu Fuß ist, kann man die City in 20 Min. und das Penarth Pier in guten 30 Min. erreichen. Penarth Pier liegt wunderschön am Bristol Canal. Man kann dort auch gut essen gehen. Cardiff ist mit dem Auto auch in einer Viertelstunde zu erreichen. Cardiff Bay (Hafenanlage) bietet viele Pubs und Restaurants. Man kann dort auch gut spazieren gehen. Sollte ich mal wieder in die Gegend fahren, werde ich auf jeden Fall wieder in Jolantas Wohnung wohnen.

Carol was a lovely friendly host, she made us feel very welcome, with helpful local information re walks & places of interest to visit. The Barn was spotless & literally sparklingly clean, the bread,cheese & cider which Carol had left for us went down very well and was a great way to start our break in Somerset.

Garden View is tucked away right in the historic centre of Llantwit Major. Closest pub 130 steps away and the others not much further. Good choice of pubs and food locally, takeaways and supermarkets too. Cottage is extremely quiet, well equipped, comfortable and cosy. Easy 30 minute walk to coastal path. A very restful stay for a few days.

Lovely short stay at little lodge. A quiet place, though close to Cardiff. Private access to a huge enclosed garden, lovely for those summer nights. Plenty of kitchen utensils and appliances, and very clean and tidy.

Wonderful stay with friends for special birthday. Property is in a stunning location. Beautiful views and sooo peaceful. Ultra clean property, all bedding and towels smelt lovely too. Very well equipped and had everything we could have wanted. Hosts were fabulous and super friendly. Everything has been thought of including a stay with a dog where there was everything we needed and way more! In addition the welcome cake and essentials were much appreciated. Will definitely be returning and thoroughly recommend. This was a great find and made our stay extra special.

Can’t thank Catherine enough. Incredibly helpful from booking the stay until we left. It’s a beautiful cosy barn, very peaceful indeed and we slept like babies. Catherine had thought of everything and we even had a welcome hamper with lovely bits x Really easy quick walks to the cheddar gorge. Catherine’s welcome guide explained everything and really did help immensely. Thank you, thank you !! We will highly recommend to our friends and family and will certainly stay again. Lyn and David are the most wonderful hosts! David build the home from the ground up and it is very beautiful! We loved how homely it felt, comfortable beds, views that are out of this world and a really peaceful place to be! We can’t thank you both enough for allowing us to share your slice of Mendip Hills beauty!! Lyn left some homemade scones which were to die for! We have to revisit as we didn’t explore all the amazing walks and Wells in more detail , and would not think twice to stay again. PS there is a beautiful little shepherds hut nearby with the same amazing views also built by David (Lyn said because he was bored!) Hopefully David remains bored, we look forward to his next amazing space/s. We highly recommend you visit!
