Family-friendly vacation rentals in Papagayo Peninsula

We stayed at Ilya's condo for a week and really loved the location! The condo is a 3 minute walk to the north end of Coco beach and a 3 minute walk to the restaurants, bars, and grocery store in the Las Palmas neighborhood. We also walked into downtown Coco a lot, but that was a little farther, maybe 15 mins. My favorite part of the condo was the rooftop terrace. We sat up there in the mornings drinking coffee and listening to the ocean waves. And in the evening, the sunsets were amazing! Ilya was a great host. He sent us recommendations for restaurants, activites, beaches to see, etc. He was very thorough at check-in, showing us features of the condo and around the complex. I'd recommend staying here to anyone interested in great views and close proximity to the Coco beach.

5 Stars – Unforgettable Beachside Retreat! We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this beautiful home in Palm Beach Estates! Dirk was an exceptional host—always quick to respond and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. The house is just steps from the beach, making it easy to enjoy the ocean anytime. We especially loved the outdoor grill area—it was perfect for cooking up the fresh red snapper we got from the local fish truck. So delicious! The pool was a major highlight for our family. The colorful lights at night made it feel magical, and we spent many evenings playing Marco Polo with our girls—such great memories. The property was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The neighborhood felt safe and peaceful, with great access to local spots and the beach just around the corner. We can’t wait to come back and highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a memorable beach getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay. Everything within Las Catalinas was a 4 minute walk from Trevelynn’s place. The Airbnb was clean, comfortable, and exactly how we expected. Trevelynn and TropicalHomes were very helpful in planning for our stay and very responsive once we arrived. We travelled with 2 kids 2 and under, and the town was perfect for us! Pool, splash pad, open space for the kids to move around while we waited for dinner! It was a dream! Plus, Trevelynn had 2 pack and plays available so we didn’t have to fly with them!

This is a beautiful condo that was well-appointed and spotless. Instructions were very clear and the guide in the condo suggested GREAT restaurants in the area. The clubhouse pool is amazing with a nice golf course view. Access to the beach club pools and beach are definitely one of the highlights. Amazing! Highly recommend for a relaxing and fun experience at Playa Conchal.

Ilya was super friendly and helpful. He met us at the gate for check-in and showed us around the unit and property. Everything was clean and easy to access. There are multiple restaurants within walking distance and a couple min drive into downtown you can find a ton more. The beach is also within walking distance. It’s a calm beach with black sand. Not a lot around there but we had fun with our kids. This place is peaceful and relaxing and has great views of the ocean. Would recommend!

We had a phenomenal stay here! We had a private balcony, large airbnb and access to all the amenities (tennis, pickle ball, pool, ice plunge). We were a less than 5 minute walk to the beach and local restaurants. There was no noise and the AC was amazing. Will definitely be staying here again

Our family of 4 stayed here and it was perfect! Location was great, beach was walking distance, plenty of room and space, we felt safe, loved the pool. So happy we stayed here!

Nos encantó la estancia ! El complejo es tranquilo y familiar. A una distancia corta de varias playas las fotos de la casa no hacen justicia al lugar tan lindo cómodo y equipado. La piscina limpia y bonita . Volvería a ir sin dudarlo y lo recomiendo 100%!

Beautiful home! Beach is perfect to relax and get away from big crowds.

Absolutely beautiful view, Grocery Stores and everything you need is right at the bottom of the hill, we walked down the hill each day to venture to beach, shops and restaurants after our excursions we would call a taxi to drive us back up the hill taxi’s are easy to find usually parked near the grocery stores. We always got their personal phone numbers so we had rides and they knew where we were staying. We don’t speak Spanish and are not tech savvy) The pool was the icing on the cake, very refreshing after all the heat and sun . Too be honest we spent most of our time at the house with our groceries and drinks just swimming and relaxing because you cannot beat the view and the sunsets, we are definitely going to return . Thank you for having us!!!!

I stayed here with three friends for a girls’ trip, and we loved the outdoor living experience. The pool was amazing and felt very private. Overall, this was a great place to stay—we all agreed that the house made our trip even better. It was one of our favorite parts! Highly recommend!

Gil and Bernie’s place at Pueblo Del Mar was great! Checkin was a breeze. The home was beautiful with everything we needed. Gil and Bernie were very responsive and answered any questions on the area that we needed help with. The unit is right across from the pool that our kids loved, and spent majority of their time in. Gil and Bernie had kids floaties for the pool and toys for the beach. This place is set up for a family of 4. Very clean, just like the pictures and the description. The air conditioners and fans worked well and kept the place cool in the hot Tamarindo weather. If you are looking for a place that is quiet and in a good location in Tamarindo, this is the place. We would book again when coming back to Tamarindo. Thanks for everything Gil and Bernie.

Amazing! House was great and well equipped but the pool and the yard is what truly made it amazing. Very private, beautiful pool, lots of covered areas, mango trees and wildlife! Location is great, it’s an easy walk to the beach and to nearby restaurants. Thanks so much. Family had a great stay!!

Wonderful place in Tamarindo… it is walkable to town….. but I would recommend renting a golf cart. Such a unique place….. we loved all of the different spaces to hang out, either together of if you need some alone time. Great communication with the host, beautiful decor…… all in all a wonderful place

Muy seguro y privado, realmente se descansa en el lugar. Nos encantó la piscina y el rancho, es grande y apto para toda la familia. El río que está cerca es una belleza, no nos imaginamos que era tan lindo, es un lugar para conectar con la naturaleza y descansar en familia. Cerca del Volcán Rincón de la Vieja y a una hora aprox de la Reserva de Vida Silvestre Bahía Junquillal, una maravilla de playa, definitivamente volveríamos de nuevo. Jorge fue muy atento en todo momento, estuvo pendiente de nosotros y de lo que necesitáramos, es un super anfitrión, lo recomendamos.

This place was amazing! Kitchen was well stocked, the grill was great for cooking. The location was ideal. It was so clean! Can’t recommend it enough.

This home is in a beautiful complex of villa types and hotel suites. The area provides access to pool areas, activities in the complex ad is very close to high quality restaurants and the beach. The house itself is designed and maintained beautifully, had all the appliances that we needed and enough space for a family with kids to stay out of each other's way, if needed :). The hosts had a lot of games and interesting books that we all enjoyed in the evenings. We received excellent recommendations and instructions from the host. This is a great place to have an airbnb with near-resort facilities.

Such a gem in Tamarindo! We loved being surrounded by nature and having the pool. The bedrooms were spacious and the kitchen was stocked well. It can be a little hard to walk into the main town because the house is located uphill but it’s definitely doable. Jose provided us with recommendations and was very responsive. Overall I would highly recommend!
