Luxury rentals in Papagayo Peninsula

The house is beautiful and very intentionally designed. Our stay felt like a luxury experience since the moment we walked in and the house was equipped with all the essentials. Juan Pablo was also very easy to reach and communicate with which made the experience a lot more relaxing and allowed us to fully unwind.

Villa Madera is gorgeous and situated high above Playa Hermosa, facing west for epic views and sunsets. Rinku's team, Marilyn and Edgar, go above and beyond to ensure everything is anticipated. Groceries were delivered prior to arrival, even arranged for dinner pickup up given our late arrival. Housekeeping is top notch akin to high-end hotel sans turndown service but more than made up by included breakfast preparation and service. Motorized blinds and Sonos were nice touches. Note the smart TVs are old so consider bringing you own Apple TV, etc. We encountered minor maintenance issues that Edgar addressed promptly and did not materially distract how comfortable the house was for our 8 night stay. The house is an a gated community with (armed) guards and regular patrols so safety was not a concern. We used Villa Madera as our base for day trips to Bijagua, Rio Celeste, Arenal/Fortuna and Rincón de la Vieja as well local spots Playa Coco, Flamingo and Penca. We would love to return!

When it comes to an airbnb, you don't always know what you will get when you arrive. At Larry & Reina's, you can expect it to be exactly like the photos. The house was beautifully decorated, furniture was clean, and it was the perfect spot for our family for the week. The house staff (Mely as the property liason & Xiomara as cook) were friendly and quick to respond. We had a little hiccup on our arrival with the lock, but Mely arrived shortly and helped us in and gave us a quick tour of the facilities. We loved the monkey visits in the early morning. Don't miss the local acitivites- Black Stallion Eco Ranch has an awesome zipline tour and we loved the "Chocolate Experience" tour at Reina's Chocolate. The evenings were peaceful around the pool and Xiomara made it a true vacation by handling dinner each evening. (Her ceviche was delicious!) Overall, we had a wonderful stay. We had an amazing trip. The home is beautiful, clean and has all you need. Family friendly and we were sad to leave. Loved all of the staff! They were so helpful, best drinks & food and more than anything so sweet and accommodating to our children! Thank you again and hope to be back soon!

we just returned from a 10-day stay and the house was one of the highlights of our visit! beautiful, stunning views and plenty of space, with addition decks and a casita for those looking for more privacy. It was the perfect size for our family of 8. the house concierge, Adrianna, was extraordinarily helpful and responsive, (answering calls and questions on Christmas!), assisting us with booking excursions, rental cars and airport shuttles. The location is excellent, and the home is located within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shops and bars of Tamarindo, which is a LIVELY place. as previous reviews have noted the home is at the top of a large hillside (about 900-1,000 ft) so a vehicle is highly recommended. The development is gated, and the friendly guard house allowed us to park our vehicle at the bottom of the hill so we didn't have to deal with traffic or finding parking, and then you can easily walk anywhere you need to go. LOVED it.

This is a beautiful house in the perfect location! I would definitely stay here again. The checkin process was unclear but so easy once you realize you just drive up to the office and they park your car for you and collect your bags and walk you to the home. That makes it so easy. I could hear the waves from the beach from inside. It’s so close. We had a great time. Thank you!
