I like hostels. You always meet crazy people. This one just adds up. It is sufficient

We had a little trouble when we checked in but I think it was airbnb's fault (we had 3 reservations under the same account) but the hostal was super accommodating and helpful and made sure we were all comfortable! Great staff and definitely would recommend to everyone.

The young man at the front desk is very friendly. Just check that the location is correct as I used the one that was on the reservation and it took me somewhere else. We spent the night quietly. The smallest space I thought of. I recommend it.

At the hostel we felt right at home. The people were super friendly and were always willing to help us with any of our concerns with a smile and cool. The kitchen is large and is very well equipped. The location is convenient to go both to the old town, to the center walking or anywhere on the metro (400 mts) or buses (150 mts away from the hostel) It has areas to exercise outdoors very close. We will certainly repeat if we return to the city.

Comfortable place and quite focused for backpackers. The photographs match the place. A good price.

The pool and breakfast are a huge bonus for this place. I was in the semi-private room, you can still hear people on the other side, but it was so much better than being in a dorm as I could get changed and leave my stuff out without any concern. They also provided me with a lock for my door because I didn’t have one. Definitely worth it for the price. I also walked around at night after meeting people at a bar and felt very safe in this neighborhood.

Honestly the best stay we’ve had! We’ve been travelling for 6 months now and have met a lot of very nice locals but the staff at Hostal Cigarra beat them all. They were super friendly, helpful, welcoming. We felt at home right away. The room was clean with AC and there was free coffee all day long. Everything we needed they did their best to provide, they were truly amazing. The hotel is very well located, 2 minutes walk from Cafe Coca Cola and from Casco Viejo. I can’t recommend more!

Good stay in this establishment where we were very well received. The lady lent us her phone several times for our procedures and allowed us to stay later in the premises after check-out. They are very kind and helpful. The hostel is clean and there are plenty of buses right outside to get around.

We felt totally comfortable here. The location is very central and the cute garden with illuminated pool in the evening offers a cozy retreat between the whole skyscrapers. In addition, the staff on site are totally warm and sweet, so you feel welcome immediately. The room as well as the private bathroom are super large, larger than in the photos, which exceeded our expectations. The kitchen is also well equipped. Breakfast is available, but quite simple. Actually, we only booked for 3 nights, but then stayed for a whole week. We would come back anytime!

Good value for the location, classic hostel with kitchen and dormitories. Friendly and thoughtful team.

Great hostel!!! Really great, it has everything you need and the spaces are fine. The dorms are very large but in our capsule bed it feels great

Great value for the price I would recommend this place which offers a room especially for girls. Momo the little dog is a ray of sunshine. I only stayed there one night but I could see that the atmosphere is zen and family-like among the residents, all from different backgrounds.
