We loved staying here. A perfect location for easy access to the beach and the Ventura area. Don’t let the location near Von’s grocery store and Starbucks concern you – it’s amazingly quiet and peaceful considering the location. That also meant it’s incredibly convenient to pop around the corner to pick up supplies :) The house itself was immaculate and calmly decorated, while the kitchen had great supplies, including nice pots and pans. Across the street, we liked the cafe and the Thai restaurant (we also loved the original Rice Mama Thai downtown). Sarah was also very responsive. We hope to stay here again!

We needed a place last minute as all places in Ojai were booked. It was a perfect spot to relax, walk the grounds, visit the animals and still have privacy. Also a short easy drive into town.

We stayed at Joseph's place for a whole week, it was perfect for our visit. We used the pool and hot tub every day, Joseph heated the pool and hot tub for us with a very reasonable fee. The pool and hot tub were super clean and were lit at night, provided a serene ambiance at night. We especially loved the deep end of the pool and all the pool toys that came with the house. There are plenty of chairs and tables in the backyard for relaxing and family gathering. The most special part of the backyard is the privacy, this house stood at a corner with almost no neighbors around, makes it a great family vacation place. I also appreciate how pet friendly this house is. The interiors of the house are also great, with 3 different living rooms to chill out. The kitchen is fully stocked, the beds are very comfortable and clean. Also loved the desks for working, Joseph even provided two external monitors for us to use. We would definite come back in the future.

Maria’s place was clean, spacious and had plenty of activities and chances to connect. The attention to detail on all of the little hosting extras were the best I have seen in any AirBnB. Lots of small touches that really made it feel like you were a welcome guest. The interior and exterior decorating was incredibly well done and matched the property in a way that encourages you to relax and enjoy all of the different spaces. Very comfortable home and good place to get away.

We had a fantastic stay—our kids absolutely loved it and begged to stay longer every single day. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach, with gorgeous morning strolls and stunning evening sunsets. We especially appreciated that it was dog-friendly—the built-in dog door in the bedroom was such a thoughtful detail, letting our pup come and go without waking us. After full days of kayaking around the Channel Islands, relaxing in the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind. The kitchen was fully stocked for home-cooked meals, and the welcome snacks were a lovely touch. We also loved not having to pack beach gear—the hosts had everything covered: toys, canopy, towels, you name it. Everything was spotless and well maintained, and the host’s kindness in offering us a late checkout made our departure so much smoother. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

Nancy’s place was perfect for us for our week+ stay while visiting family in the area. The house was immaculate and well stocked with everything that we needed. Nancy was quick to respond to any questions we had. We loved the neighborhood as we are big walkers and the neighborhood streets and the preserve trail right at the end of the road were great for exercise. It was a bit of a cool week while we were in SoCal so the heater/fireplace was a welcome plus for keeping us comfortable. As a tea drinker, I was happy to have an electric tea kettle available while my husband enjoyed the keurig machine and the supply of k-cups Nancy provided. We would certainly stay again.

We loved our stay in this quiet little oasis. The cottage was perfect, clean, cozy, and had many thoughtful amenities. Check in and out was very easy and Lizlott generously allowed us to check in early after a long day of travel. Although the cottage is situated on the property, we had total privacy and never interacted with the owners. It was quiet and tranquil. Thank you! Would definitely return next time we are in the area.

This Airbnb stay was an absolute gem! The location couldn't have been more perfect. It’s just a short, pleasant walk away from a pristine and quiet beach where we could unwind and relax without the crowds. The neighborhood itself exudes tranquility and safety, making it an ideal retreat. Plus, it’s conveniently close to all sorts of amenities, from local eateries to ethnic shops. Norma and Uni truly went above and beyond. They were incredibly responsive, promptly addressing any queries and catering to our needs. Their attentiveness and hospitality added a personal touch that made our stay even more enjoyable. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful beach getaway or a cozy base to explore the area, this place checks all the boxes. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again!

Can we go back on vacation?! What a beautiful vacation home to stay and spend our family spring break! The house was wonderful, great location, close enough to LA, Malibu, and other great towns but far enough away that your feel secluded. We never heard a plane or any sirens the whole time we were at the house. One of my favorite spots was sitting in the spa when a warm breeze would drift the smell of lavender, rosemary, blooming wisteria, orange and lemon trees.... The kids enjoyed the pool and living room where we played a lot of cards and board games. There were many hiking paths within 20 min or less locations. Todd was very accommodating, the house was well stocked with essentials and simple touches that made you feel right at home. We will return in the future for sure!

Cute place and great location!

We loved our stay at this beautiful, well maintained and well appointed home! In addition to being of architectural interest the home was cozy and comfortable for our whole family. The kids swam all day, and the adults cooked and enjoyed the back patio and atrium areas. The yard and outdoor areas were lovely and well cared for. There were so many things to do close by - from hikes, to shopping, restaurants and museums. Instructions and information provided by Dicle and Trisha were easy to follow and clear. They were responsive and helpful in all communications. Will book again.

Staying at Danna's place was an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed and at home. This place is absolutely gorgeous and looks exactly as advertised. Nathan was very kind and accommodating to our needs and was nice enough to show us around the place once we arrived. Overall i had no complaints whatsoever and I would definitely recommend this place if you’re staying in the area. Thank you for hosting us!

I usually rent a cabin somewhere in the mountains with my best pup once a year for a quiet girls weekend. This year I was hoping for something more local and stumbled upon this gem of an experience. What a beautiful place Murray and Kay have. The property is easy to find and Murray was right there (with their horses) when I pulled in. The Airstream was fully equipped and I really didn't feel like I was deprived of any creature comforts. The solar battery was enough for my couple of devices to charge. Hiking trails right outside the door and views for days. One of their horses even made it up the mountain one night to say hello. The bed was comfy and there was plenty of blankets, linens and towels. I loved every minute of my stay and look forward to visiting again.

Vivian was very responsive and communicated well. The house was large for eight people, and hot showers for everyone! A little traffic noise at night, but it died down after 9 PM. Would definitely come back again. Thank you Vivian!

Advertised properly! What you see is what you get. Perfect space for a good rest. Good space for your dogs to run around outside in the backyard when the zoomies kick in!

We had a great stay at this beautiful residence. The hosts were amazing. They provided snacks, fruit, drinks and many other food items for our stay! We stayed over New Year's Eve and they even provided party items. The residence was just as pictured. It's location is great, just next to the beach. Thank you for a great stay!

Annie’s charming bungalow was the best Airbnb experience I’ve had. Perfect location, comfortable beds, responsive host and a backyard that you’ll never want to leave. I look forward to coming back someday.

We had a magical time staying at this quaint little house outside of town. Within seconds of parking the car, the horse next door stuck her nose over the fence to say hi to our 5 year old daughter who was over the moon to meet this gentle giant. She spent every moment available petting her nose and feeding her bits of grass. The house is super cozy and well stocked with kitchen items (pots, pans, coffee maker, blender, etc..) all the things needed to feel right at home. We even bbq’d on the patio. The house is in a rural area, plenty quiet and beautiful with a well stocked market 5 minutes toward Santa Paula and the town of Ojai 10 minutes in the other direction. Beds and couches are comfy, plenty of sheets blankets and towels available. Angela was super friendly & responsive if anything extra is needed. The WiFi worked great. I would DEFINITELY stay here again.
