Words will never do this place justice. Both the lodge itself and the surroundings are stunningly beautiful. The pictures give a slight impression, but the place must be experienced to really understand the beauty of this place. The cabins are placed up on a hill with an amazing view over the jungle and the ocean. Macaws are flying over you all day. Coatis, tapirs, agutis and monkeys cross the grounds and nature trails are plentiful. We did a trek into Corcovado through la Leona gateway which was well worth it. Way less crowded than la Sirena and the scenery is incredible. I also took some yoga classes while I was there. The yoga itself was great and the cherry on the top was 8 macaws settling into a tree right in front of the yoga platform during class. We were also really pampered with delicious food and smoothies. We got there by cab which took something like 1 h 45 m each way. On the way there the driver spotted loads of animals for us. I’m so grateful for the whole experience.

Séjour juste incroyable chez Carlos, le haut niveau, le très haut niveau, les cieux du haut niveau. J’ai beaucoup voyagé mais je n’ai jamais vu un logement de la qualité de celui dont dispose Carlos. Le meilleur logement de tous les temps!

We used Vistadrakelodge to stay in Drake Bay on our way to and from an overnight trip to Corcovado Preserve. We stayed a relaxed extra day after, swinging in the hammocks on the deck overlooking the sea. It had lovely views of the sea, birds and monkeys in its gardens and trees. And much enjoyed air conditioning! Emilio was great, met us at the boat from Sierpe to take us up the short hill from the beach, even though it would have been an easy 5 minute walk. He offered to take us to his farm to walk in nature but we were too tired to take the offer. Breakfast was hearty and delicious. He can also help arrange local boat tours and arranged our return trip back to Sierpe. Easy walk to several restaurants in town and the beach.

A BEAUTIFUL oasis and amazing deal. We felt so welcomed by the staff working there, especially Amanda. The grounds were stunning with plans through, the pool was a treat! Breakfast was made fresh and delicious. We loved our private shower outside the room. The yoga studio was stunning and such a great class. Short walk to the beach and local restaurants. We'll be back!

I stayed for one and a half week at Surfhouse and it was amazing! the location is perfect! Moshe is great!! he really cares about the guests..I had so much fun and I will definitely come back again ❤🌸🤙🌻

Great place with easy beach access but worth knowing that you will have to wade through waste deep water to access the beach. However, it was 100% worth it! Staff was great and they are very helpful and kind.

Great tiny apartment, very well furnished with a little terrace. The host was very nice and responded quickly. We saw an agouti in the morning and some wildlife around the apartment !

An unforgettable place <3 Jose is super kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. He’s anyways happy to help. Steve is welcoming and kind to all. The best part of this home is meeting the people and making connections with them through nature. I loved the comfortable feel, the river and everything this place has to offers. I’ll be back again! Staying at Lipstick Palms was truly one of the most special and unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had. The home & amenities are unreal! A stunning retreat with sweeping views of the Pacific, a great breeze and every detail is high-end and thoughtful. Annie and Patrick are the kindest, most gracious hosts—you instantly feel like you’re visiting dear friends or family you adore. Upon request, they prepared a beautiful, elevated meal our first night (that peach cream cake was unreal!) and again on our last night. One evening, we went into town together, played pool at a fun dive bar, had chili guaro shots.m- so fun! They also took us to a wine bar on the ocean where we fed bananas to monkeys at sunset—it was pure magic. The location is perfect, the pool is gorgeous, and we felt so at home the entire time. Annie and Patrick were present but never intrusive—it was the perfect balance. Their care, warmth, and hospitality made this stay something we’ll never forget. Dreaming of coming back!

Mike and his sister were so wonderful! They gave great local recommendations. Everything went smooth and they were so welcoming. This was also the most affordable restaurant and lodging in the area. The pizza and burgers were delicious and it had more of the local vibe that we were looking for. We would stay here again!! ¡Muchas Gracias!

Es bellísimo! Muy tranquilo, con todas las comodidades y lujos para las vacaciones, la piscina es grande y bella, las habitaciones super cómodas, la atención inmejorable.

Basic, no frills, hotel stay. Room was clean and comfortable, grounds were pleasant, great breakfast for extra at accompanying restaurant. Staff was pleasant and helpful even though we could not speak Spanish. We would stay again. Great value, very affordable.

Dominical is a little paradise and this was a great place to enjoy it all. Right across from the Ocean, the sunsets are beautiful and it is just a few minutes walk to town and all the shops and restaurants. I will be back!

Disfrutamos mucho la estadía en la Van. Todo muy ordenado y limpio. El estilo interno se siente como que andas de road-trip y la verdad es muy agradable. Las instalaciones cuentan con una piscina pequeña al fondo de la propiedad y el lugar en si es como un hostal muy ordenado y agradable. Sebas el anfitrión fue muy comunicativo e inclusive se tomó el tiempo de explicarnos los highlights en un mapa grande de Uvita que tienen en el salón. Lo recomiendo bastante. El único detalle que no está en el listín explicado es que ellos requieren de una tarjeta para hacer el check in y no te permiten quedarte si no la brindas. Esto puede ser un poco incómodo ya que no está explicado en el listín y si no andas el plástico te puede pasar una mala jugada. Pero fuera de eso, increíble lugar que recomiendo además de la comunidad de uvita por supuesto. Big up Sebas! Irie vibes 🤙🏽

Ces quelques mots posés ici ne sauraient exprimer le plaisir que nous avons eu à séjourner chez Keiko et Greg. Nos hôtes étaient d’une bienveillance extrême, nous avons partagé nos dîner avec eux, ce fut de très bons moments de partage. Le chef nous a préparé d’excellents repas (étant végétarienne, il a pris soin de proposer des menus qui convenaient) : petit déjeuner et dîners et nous le remercions très sincèrement. Nos hôtes nous ont transmis leur amour pour cet endroit où nous nous sommes sentis privilégiés. Nos deux jours passés ici semblaient hors du temps. La vue sur la lagune, l’océan et la forêt était exceptionnelle, et la vue depuis la piscine sur un ciel incroyablement étoilé était indescriptible. Nous avions la sensation d’être seuls au monde, immergés dans une nature sauvage ou l’homme n’a pas encore laissé d indélébiles traces. Dans la propriété nous avons pu admirer des Aras, des capucins, des coatis, des rapaces… Ces deux jours ici ont été les plus incroyables.

This is a great place, easy to find and with secure parking. It is within walking distance to the river and the beach and many restaurants. The room was very clean and bright with a comfortable bed and nice towels and linens. The room was very quiet. The attached restaurant was great and they had some live music at night. All staff were very friendly. We did not use the communal kitchen. Hosts had great communication. Would totally recommend

The cabin is in a small and laidback resort. There is a yoga shala, and the staff can help with booking tours and more. The location is very remote (twenty minute walk on the beach), so it's adviced to pack light. It's also a beautiful place, with a big private beach but also in the jungle. We observed all kinds of animals, including macaws and monkeys. There are no nearby restaurants, but there are meals in the resort at extra cost. All in all a great place, and we would have loved to stay longer if we could.

Ein schönes kleines Haus in sehr ruhiger Gegend umgeben von Weiden. Es ist alles vorhanden was es für einen Aufenthalt von mehreren Tagen benötigt. Am besten gefallen hat uns die Terrasse, von der aus sich die vielen verschiedenen Vogelarten und andere Tiere beobachten lassen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Great place walking distance from the surf. Room with queen size bed and single bed. Small fridge, coffee maker, private bathroom with hot water, a small working desk and A/C. Wifi available and works fine. During the weekends you can hear the music from the bar next door, but once you turn the AC on you don’t hear it. Overall a great place and definitely coming back.

Este lugar fue fantástico, escritorio súper cómodo, habitación hermosa, me sentí muy segura en todo momento, había un pequeño parlante que fue un detallazo para poner música suave de meditación, todo estaba impecable, plantas en todos lados que están muy bien cuidadas, es una tristeza que solo iba un día por trabajo, pero volveré en temporada baja para vacacionar, me encanta que tiene una zona compartida muy organizada para cocinar y la manera tan organizada de ofrecer los servicios es increíble. Salí enamorada de ese lugar.

Lugar tranquilo, limpio, los anfitriones amables. Recomendado.
