A peaceful and beautiful house with wonderful mountain views in the middle of nature. Lots of birds, including toucans, and the host has an incredible garden with many fruit trees and herbs and spices, as well as a tilapia pond at the campfire site. The host is very friendly and helpful in all matters. Our children (ages 8 and 9) fell in love with our wonderful host and their pig, cats, dogs and winged animals. A great place also for children to observe the surroundings, sleep in a bunk bed and splash in the pool next to the kitchen. We can recommend from the bottom of our hearts.

We have had the most wonderful stay at this super little beach house. Everything we needed and in a stunning setting … so our planned couple of days was quickly extended to a week once we realised how lucky we were to find it. For anyone wanting a restful, quiet and beachfront property to enjoy time in this beautiful country will be delighted here. The wildlife in the gardens have really made the stay special too. Sonny has been a great host . Communications were excellent and he’s been a great source of local knowledge for a few treats. Certainly a gem of a place with a sociable and thoughtful host.

What a great stay at Amber's! One of the most beautiful homes I've ever visited. The view from each room is magnificent, you are immersed in nature. Everything is clean, pleasant, relaxing. The kitchen is super well equipped. Amber is great: she responds quickly, very friendly, and we shared a very nice time with her. THANK YOU!

Pavones Mountain Cabin A/C

We stayed nearly 4 weeks in Pavones with our 3 dogs as we worked remotely. Beds were quite comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, and Walter (Henry's uncle who lives on the property) was very responsive anytime we needed anything! He also gave us some great fresh coconuts from his trees, which we made into wonderful smoothies with the blender. :) Our dogs loved it as they had freedom to roam, but note the yard is not fully fenced as it currently says in the description. You're on a steep hill above Walter's house but his dogs and ours sometimes ventured into each other's yards (which was fine; his dogs were very nice!). There's also a road down the steep bank so could be a flee hazard for some dogs! The wifi wasn't great for working remotely. It was OK for docs work but video calls were choppy and downloads/uploads were slow. There's also not a "dedicated workspace" as the description said, just one table (which was fine as I found a way to set up a standing workspace).
