Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Osa Peninsula

We really enjoyed our stay at Villas Jacquelina. The check-in process was very easy (we even got a fresh coconut which was delicious) and Esteban answered immediately at messages. We stayed in the room at the top of the building. You basically sleep there in the middle of the rain forest as there aren't any walls. That was an amazing experience amd thanks to the mosquito nets we didn't have any problems with those either. Our room had its own bathroom and own small kitchen as well, so you can cook there if you want to. There is also a pool and a chilling area for everyone where you can hang out. I'd definitely recommend staying there if you're in the area!

Great seclusion from the chaos of Quepos without a long drive. We felt at peace here. There is a slight hostel vibe to it, but the employees were nice.

lovely apartment, beautiful setting, quiet and relaxing. Laundry facilities and pool much appreciated. 15 min walk to National Park entrance, 5 mins walk to bakery and closest cafe. Would happily stay again if in Uvita. Local help from Milena invaluable, she was very responsive

If you want to stay in a motel, this is way better than staying closer to town. Its a small private and safe motel. The room is spacious. It is nice to be away from busy San Isidro and it has its own little community. This is our 2nd time here. Perfect place to stop in between destinations.

Isaac and his family gave us a very warm welcome and were very good at recommending restaurants and activities in the area. The accommodation is very nice, and we were able to see monkeys, toucans and parrots from the balcony!

The Shana is a great resort and Kent’s place was wonderful. Everything was so clean. The view is amazing from the balcony. We loved to sit and relax in the rocking chairs and watch the mischievous capuchin monkeys get into everything at the resort. So much space in this condo. It was perfect for our family of five. Will definitely come back.

The place was clean and very spacious. We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen with the balcony very much. Every morning we could watch toucans from there. The contact person Itza was very sweet and always immediately available. We really enjoyed the time there and Michael was always easily accessible!

It felt like a true home away from home, with a perfect balance of comfort and luxury. The location was ideal, making it easy to explore the area while still enjoying peaceful privacy. Their hospitality, attention to detail, and friendly demeanor made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Thank you so much for a great stay Rebecca!! Our family with 2 young boys stayed here and we were wowed by all the wildlife around the home! From the beautiful backyard we were regularly visited by macaws, iguanas, capuchin monkeys and even spotted a yellow throated toucan and fireflies. We also regularly heard howler monkeys!! So so magical. The home is so peaceful and has everything we needed from a stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, and comfy beds. Highly recommend. Thanks again!

This was my second stay at Villa Ballena, and I’m already planning a third with family. I truly can’t imagine a better place to stay in Costa Rica. The 4x4 vehicle recommendation was spot on, not just for getting up to the house, but for exploring Costa Rica in general. We had no trouble with the drive, and the view you get when you walk in makes it all worth it. Truly feels like you’re on top of the world. We cooked often in the kitchen, grilled outside, and explored local sodas (restaurants) nearby. The wildlife was incredible and each time I’ve seen toucans and coatis among tons of other birds. Feels like a nature show right from the patio. I wouldn’t change a thing. This is hands down the best stay you’ll have in Costa Rica.

Amazing! We’ve done this trip in various locations across costa rica and Brian’s place was by far the best, especially for larger groups. The dreamy outdoor kitchen had all the best appliances and tools you could ever need. The pool and lounge area felt like what you would experience at a high end resort. The music hookup and lighting at night was perfect for relaxing and breathtaking sunsets and nighttime conversations. Some of us could even get in a morning workout given the great gym area available and would end it with a cold plunge. I literally can’t think of anything else we could ever need! Beyond being an absolute paradise, Brian went above and beyond to welcome us and ensure we were comfortable. It’s rare these days that the host is as invested in their guests’ experience as Brian, and it’s clear that he really wants his guests to feel at home and welcome. He always promptly answered any questions and was eager to help and give recommendations. Can’t wait to come back!

We had an amazing stay at Casa del Sol. We were a party of ten between the ages of 5-71 and we were all very comfortable. The three master suits was a wonderful bonus. There were howler monkeys to be heard every morning. Macaws flying overhead, Tuscans nesting in nearby trees, squirrel and capuchin monkeys swinging in the trees outside every day. The pool was pristine, the outdoor shower was also a great touch. There is comfort both inside for watching movies and playing games and outside for wildlife viewing and soaking up the sun. It is right between Quepos and the national park, leaving you no more than 15 minutes from the best activities. We did a pleasure cruise on the Brisa Elegante, ziplining with El Sanctuario, kayaking in the mangroves at Nacarcosta, a night tour through Finca Salamamdria and a guided trip through Manuel Antonio national park. All amazing adventures. The concierge and maid service were top knotch. So responsive and attentive. Everything was perfect.

Teri’s place was a Costa Rican paradise! Absolutely gorgeous views, the pictures simply don’t do it justice! A completely private oasis while still less than 1/2 hour from Manuel Antonio and Quepos with plenty of restaurants/shops if you’re looking for something to do. We spent a week there with 4 adults and 7 kids and it was very family friendly, though it would be a perfect romantic/adult getaway too. Bedrooms were dreamy, kitchen was well equipped, house was nicely appointed, outdoor space and pool were just absolute perfection! One thing to note: IF YOU FOLLOW A GPS TO THE ADDRESS, it will take you a much longer route and will take you 30 mins on an extremely rough gravel road. The host was proactive in letting us know to take a different route- 616 over a bridge that gps says is closed/out of order-but we opted to follow the gps the first time to avoid getting lost somewhere without WiFi. Highly recommend familiarizing yourself with the suggested route and going via the bridge!

Amazing place. Access as communicated by the hosts, if you require a 4x4, because it is a gravel road. The house is spectacular, luxurious. Very comfortable, the kitchen, rooms, furniture, everything feels like excellent quality. The house's design is perfect, overlooking the mountains. I recommend you don't miss the sunrise. The pool and jacuzzi have warm water, the weather was very sunny so the temperature was perfect. They have a sound system throughout the house, which allows you to play music and enjoy the experience even more. A washing machine, dishwasher, jacuzzi, in short. The truth would come back many more times.
