Everything was great. We were greeted by his mother, very nice, generous and she explained how to use everything. They welcomed us and gave us wine, eggs, oranges and potatoes from their garden... What luck to have come at this time! The house is bigger than it looks in the photos, very well equipped and furnished, very clean. Communication had to be a mix between French-Portuguese, but as Spaniards we understood everything well. The only thing is that the heating is a fireplace in the living room that doesn't quite heat the rest of the rooms. In February we wore a sweater and slippers in the house and that was enough to keep from getting cold. .

Going into the mountains feels like stepping back in time. lots of wild animals, big rock formations and houses built from them. I found it a peaceful place to relax. thanks 🙏

We enjoyed our one month stay at Box House very much. João was friendly and helpful, offered local recommendations, and also brought us beautiful oranges and lemons from his garden. The home is beautiful and chic, but more than that, it is well equipped and we had everything we needed to feel comfortable, cook our meals, clean and do laundry.

Charming little house, secluded, quiet and in the middle of nature but not far from road access, Ideal for 6 people maximum. Beautiful terrace for meals and after meals. Simple but very clean. The must is the welcome of Aurélie and Adrien, always available and ready to give you advice and recommendations on activities to do in the area. Extremely kind, responsive to our requests.
