Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice . I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

Stay is beautiful and serene. Be prepared mentally to walk 300 metres uphill, it's not difficult but incase if you have any physical condition then it's important to know do you can manage accordingly. Since the stay in the outskirts or in the thumanhatty village, it give a very peaceful and nature friendly ambience. If you want to stay in the nature and stay away from hustle bustle of the city, then this stay is best option. The property is very well maintained and you will get to hear many birds in the morning, beautiful sunrise view because property is facing east So you will not see the sunset. One of the day, it rained in evening and then I could hear 3 peacocks and spotted on the tree. You may be able to spot bison herd early in the mornings or late night. Breakfast was amazing, felt like home cooked meals. I tried some restaurants in ooty but quality of food is very low and commercial style so breakfast in stay felt like home meal. Thank you.

Fantastic place, and the B&B made for an extremely comfortable stay in Ooty. The house is very close to the city market, so offers proximity to eating and shopping places. At the same time, the house itself is in a residential area with a peaceful view around it. The central location of the B&B provides you the opportunity to visit multiple places like Coonor, Avalanche lake etc as these places are in a radius of 15-20 kms. Plus, the Botanical Garden is just 500ms away from the house. All in all, great location keeping in mind the various tourist spots around the city!! The House is 2 storied, well maintained in terms of furnishing, and very neat and clean. The rooms are very spacious, we were 3 people staying in a room and still there was sufficient space. Room had all the amenities like double bed, blanket, mirror, TV etc. Our room (Room 1) had a very nice balcony overlooking the entrance, and it was a delight to sit their and click photographs in the mornings. A room heater was a pleasant surprise for us, and it surely came in handy at night. The bathroom was very neat, with geyser, towels, soaps, bucket, shower etc. But don't expect a fancy bathroom kit like a 4-star hotel, so if you need lufa, shampoo etc, carry them with you. There is a huge dining area on the ground floor and an equally big living area on the 1st floor, which contains a PlayStation, carrom bord, books etc. The whole place looks very welcoming, and you feel like spending a day inside. The cook (Gopal) was fantastic. There are 6 rooms in the house, and despite that, he asks each visitor separately for what to eat. So there is no standard menu, and you can get anything made from him. The food is very reasonable priced, and after a long day of touristing, my suggestion would be to eat dinner at home. Breakfast is complimentary, and though Gopal has a menu, if you ask him in advance, he will make something that you like. We asked him for Poha & Dosa and he was kind enough to make it. He can make both veg and non-veg. They also provide you tea/coffee in your room. Overall, great food and service by him. The housekeeping person is also very polite and soft spoken, and the overall service was beyond what you'd expect in any other B&B. Totally worth its money!!!

It was a brilliant stay. I would definitely recommend people who wants to get away from the loud city and live a peaceful life to visit here. The host is wonderful and communicate very well. It was one of a kind of a cottage which took me back in time. I completely enjoyed it. I would not recommend to leave the vicinity after dark as you could encounter wild animals. However, the vicinity is well protected by locals. If you are a tourist, do not go out after dark.
