Waterfront vacation rentals in Onrus River

We had a lovely few days in this apartment, views were spectacular and the living space was great for spending time watching the whales. Would recommend to anyone visiting Hermanus. 2 min away from lovely restaurants.

We loved Ethan's place. Absolutely perfect for our needs. Fabulous views Location is really great. Right on the cliff path, 2 mins from 2 rock pools, 5 mins walk to shops and restaurants. Ethan was very responsive and helpful. Thank you....we'll be back!

This is one gorgeous home and getting to experience the views from the patio in real life is something else! It’s apparent that the owners make full use of their wonderful property as it’s very well stocked! Lying in bed hearing the ocean is sublime! Loved how we could simply walk everywhere and there is also a fabulous coffee shop called Oskar’s 100m away which we frequented regularly during our stay! Would recommend this home in a heartbeat!

Wow, what an amazing home and surroundings. Beautiful, modern, clean and uncluttered home, comfy beds and great entertaining areas. The hot tub (with a view) was a firm favourite. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

Lovely and well kept, Heleen was super as a host, the location was amazing with clever architecture to hide from the wind and still enjoy the clear nights and days.

We had a relaxing time with friends and family, the Lagoon lends itself to plenty of time on the water paddling water skiing and fishing. The house is very well equipped and well maintained.

We had the most amazing stay in Vermont. incredible hosts that were amazingly responsive, proactive and helpful. The view from the stoep is wonderful with easy access to the cliff path. The house is well laid out with everything you need - highly recommend this special stay. We hope to be back again soon!

We stayed on the property for a week and it was an amazing experience. Pictures don’t give justice to the sea view. Property highly recommended for anybody thinking to rent .

We had a fantastic family stay at Carol's beautiful beach home. It was spotless. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and we felt at ease and relaxed from the minute we walked in. Nice courtyard at the back to entertain and keep out of the wind on some of the days. Otherwise, a lovely braai spot in from of the house on the verande with ocean views. Morning coffee on the veranda every day, with a view of the ocean, was a treat. Just a short walk down the path to the harbour with restaurants and little shops as well as soft serve ice cream. A brisk 2km walk down to the main beach all along the coastline making. Carol was super friendly, and her home is truly a gem.

We fell in love with the village of Stanford and the soul restoring River Home. This beautiful house is right on the river's edge and is a real treat (and retreat) to stay in. Just the place to surrender to nature, listen to the birdsong, rest and restore. We loved walking along the delightful river path. A short walk into the centre of town will bring you to several delightful restaurants. We ate at three of them (for lunch at Madré we enjoyed a really good pork belly with crispy skin and vegetables, at La Trattoria we had a feast of authentic Italian food and Agteros has a menu full of delightful South African dishes done with a modern twist). We also brownsed in some delightful homewear and gift shops. If you prefer eating at home, the kitchen at River House has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. It is spotless, has a great gas hob and electric oven and a dishwasher for cleaning up after.

We had a great stay. The house was quiet, comfortable, clean, and right beside the ocean with the most incredible sunsets.

Beautiful apartment. The view is stunning. Very spacious. Loved sitting in the reclining chair and just watching the waves. Felt very safe too.

Great apartment and very central, we rarely used our car as there are so many restaurants, shops and attractions in the area. Would surely recommend this apartment.

Elaine was the host we met on checking in.she was great.polite and very helpful.the place is quite nice,cozy and pretty much in the centre of everything.we had breakfast in different restaurants daily because they are close by.

Wish we could have stayed forever! We loved this Airbnb, it may be the best ever stayed in! The house and location are stunning. The host was welcoming and helpful. There were many useful extras like clothes and dish washing pods and soaps in the bathroom. Very useful after a long journey. We can’t wait to return!
